I took a strenuous gulp, pressed my hands on the handle, and gave a light nudge at the door. The jet-black room welcomed my eyes. It was what my system had mentioned. This place was the same chamber I saw when we battled the lion boss from before.
I spared a glance behind, hoping that there was nobody there to chase me around. After a complete minute of nothingness, I trod forward and slid the gates open.
A creaking sound that came from the door woke my senses. It was not a sound that my ears grew accustomed to from my previous experience. As I stepped my foot forward, lights flickered everywhere. Instead of the gloomy chamber, the luminance filled the room.
"Where is the light source coming from?" I asked, and strolled around.
I did not see any feral beast or the lion that moved like a jaguar. There were no bosses or any creatures that wanted me dead. Only the night's silence welcomed me inside.
