"The number you have dialed--"
Eiffel threw her phone in rage when the number she has been trying to call for almost an hour already didn't pick up. The other University students looked at her as she put her frustration onto the poor thing on the floor.
"Argh! What is wrong with you, Paris Nicoli Choi?!" She shouted, not minding the stares she got from the people around her.
Her rage is beyond the controllable one at this point. Her face is all red from too much blood, and her veins are noticeable even at a fair distance.
She picked up her phone again and looked at the broken screen.
"Just what is your problem?!" She hissed at the smiling woman on her wallpaper.
Who in their right mind would even break-up with using an electronic mail? Her girlfriend, her ex-girlfriend rather, is one of the most intelligent people she know for having an IQ of a hundred and twenty five but oh gosh! She cannot believe that the woman is one of a heck of an idiot when it comes to this.
"I will surely get back at you, Paris. I surely will." Eiffel gritted her teeth in rage. She cannot forget this, oh heck she won't. Not when the woman gave her a lot to remember.
The way they danced at the song of their hearts.
The way they move in sync as the music continue to play.
The way their eyes recognizes each and every single part of each other's existence.
The way their smiles ended the twinkling stars' job every night.
Oh, how can Eiffel forget when the older woman gave her a lot to remember.
Behind the rage that formed in her heart, she knows...she knows that the woman that lives half the world away from her will always be her love.
The lanes of memory they shared. The avenues of sweetness they had built. Eiffel felt her heart clench as she glance at her broken phone.
The previously well taken care piece of device she treasures is now nothing but a broken junked machine. It looked like it was run off by a vehicle.
The lady started to walk away from the university. Her heart shattering as she walk.
Is the universe against her happiness or is it her who was running from it?
Her mind is in daze as she walk. Paris' face flashed in her mind. The older's eye smile that made her heart flutter. The older's cute nose scrunch which made her smile in joy and butterflies.
Oh how unfortunate it is, the one she planned her future with is now nowhere to be found. The one she imagined her tomorrow with is probably now enjoying her freedom back in the mainland.
Eiffel's tears fell in bitterness. Her nights, her mornings, her noon will never be the same. No raspy voice will greet her 'Good Morning' anymore. No soft lullabies will make her sleep anymore. There's no Paris in her life anymore. The one she belonged with has left.
Her rage cannot be hidden with the veins popping out but deep inside she knew, the bitterness, the pain, and the sorrow for her now dead heart is digging deeper through her bones. She is a woman in love after all. However, every love twins pain. And after three long years of her love, pain has finally come. Will it kill her? Will she let it kill her? Or Will she fight back that pain? Fight it back and win over her emotion.
No matter what choices are there, she knows that her grief over her dying heart will reign. It will reign and eventually consume her to the bones until only her mind can run. Until her heart can never shout and speak to her to choose.
But it didn't seem to last that long. The pain that had her bawling her eyes out. The pain that had her wasted almost every night. The pain that made her to who she is today.
Years that passed were just like a snap of a finger, the Eiffel who cried before is now here. Fiercer than ever, stronger than ever, and tougher than ever. Her previously short platinum blonde hair is now back to its darker color and the length that passed her shoulder.
"Well, hello again...my mainland." Her deep voice surfaced as she inhaled the air that she missed after five long years. Her free hand lifted her sunglasses up to her head as she roam her eyes around the arrival area. She's searching for a familiar face.
Her long-time friend in the U.S who moved back in the mainland just last year. Her cat-eyed friend who look so fierce yet cute at the same time.
She fished her phone from her pocket to call that friend of her.
"Pick it up...pick it--hello! Where are you?" Eiffel impatiently asked.
"Sorry, something came up earlier! I'm on my way!" The other woman replied. She's busy driving as fast as she can without breaking any law to get to the airport immediately. She got a friend waiting for her in the middle of arrival area.
"Fine, I'll be by..." Eiffel searched for any near place she can go.
"I'll be by these brown coffee shop near the arrival area." Eiffel continued her words.
"Be there soon, my friend!" Eiffel made her way to the coffee shop, her every stride garnered attention from people around her. Gawking at how good she looks with her leather jacket, fawning at how handsome she is with that charismatic aura and her pretty face.
She sat by the glass wall and settled her things near her. A staff walked to her to get her order which she complied to as soon as she hear the boy's steps.
"Caramel macchiato is fine." Eiffel spoke and kept her mysterious aura exuding. She looked around again after the boy left.
Her breath hitched at what she saw. That familiar long brown hair that cascades down her back.
"Paris..."
