Chapter 16 - Flashback

A few days later, Taera avoided Ardilo. Ardilo knew that Taera seemed jealous. But Taera said she was fine. This made Ardilo confused. Sometimes love is confusing.

Ardilo is now observing Taera is sitting with her friend from a distance. Ardilo saw Taera was discussing with her friends. It seemed they were discussing assignments. Ardilo remembered the first time he saw Taera. At that time, she was in the library working on an assignment at a table not far from Ardilo's desk was also working on an assignment.

*Flashback*

Ardilo is busy working on his assignment must be collected later in the afternoon. His attention was briefly turned to the next table. There was a child who looked very panicked looking for something. Ardilo watched the girl.

"Tae, I left my assignment at the boarding house. Is it okay if I leave my things here? It's an emergency," asked Taera's friend.

"It's okay. Just take your assignment. Our class is still at 2 p.m, right? It's still 12.40. There's still time," Taera replied.

"Okay. Wait a minute. Thank you very much. I'll go to the boarding house first," said Taera's friend.

A few moments later, Taera's friend returned to the boarding house to take her assignment. While Taera was still there doing the assignment. Ardilo returned to his duties.

At first, Ardilo didn't really care. Until he looked at his watch it was 01.20 p.m, and Taera's friend had not returned. At that time, another child was sitting at Taera's table while reading a book. Ardilo saw Taera looked hungry. She held her stomach several times. Ardilo thinks Taera might be hungry, and she can't have lunch because she has to look after her friend's belongings.

"Hey, what's wrong? Stomach ache, huh?" asked someone sitting at Taera's table.

Ardilo is now observing the two of them. He became curious about what happened to the girl named Taera.

"My stomach seems to have recurred, sis. I haven't eaten because of that," said Taera.

"Just eat for a while. Let me take care of the things," said someone.

"You don't have to, sis, it's okay. It's not that I don't believe you, but I don't like my friend. She left her things to me. Sorry, sis," Taera explained.

Ardilo understood what Taera meant. It seems that someone also understands. He then smiled.

"Yeah, it's okay, sis. But is it okay not to eat first?" someone asked looking worried.

"It's okay, sis," Taera replied, then smiled.

Ardilo salutes Taera. She's totally in charge. It's rare to find someone like her. For some reason, he had a different feeling.

Not long after, Taera's friend came.

"Tae, I'm really sorry it took me so long. Earlier I forgot that the key to my boarding house was in my bag, now my bag is here. So I'm waiting for the duplicate key from my boarding house lady. I'm really sorry," said Taera's friend.

"Yeah, it's okay. Have you found your assignment?" Taera asked.

"That's it. You must have not eaten. Let's eat now," said Taera's friend.

"Come on," Taera then tidied up her books.

*End of flashback*

Ardilo smiled to himself remembering the incident. He still saw Taera now seemed to be working on an assignment with her friend. They were each looking at laptops and books in turn while discussing. Ardilo then recalled how he accidentally met Taera again.

At that time, Ardilo was going to a supermarket. He accidentally met Taera was also shopping there. It was an accidental second encounter. At that time, of course, Taera still didn't know Ardilo.

Taera came closer to the ice cream. She didn't buy ice cream. She just looked around. Next to Taera is a small child who buys ice cream then doesn't close the fridge door until it's tightly closed. After the child went to see his mother, Taera saw the refrigerator that was not tightly closed earlier. She then closed it. It may seem trivial, but Ardilo feels Taera is a person who cares about even the smallest things. I don't know why he's getting more curious about Taera.

Ardilo accidentally saw Taera buy a child apple juice because the apple juice that the child bought fell and spilled. Taera's concern for the little boy aroused Ardilo's love for her. He became more and more curious about Taera.

Then he accidentally met Taera again when he came home from college. At that time, Ardilo saw a cat with a plastic tail tied. Whether someone did it on purpose or not, he didn't know. Ardilo wants to help the cat. He was already walking towards the cat, but first with Taera. Taera swiftly removed the plastic from the cat's tail even though the cat almost scratched Taera. Ardilo was even more amazed by Taera's kindness.

Ardilo was still smiling. He didn't realize that Taera was in front of him.

"Ardilo," Taera called.

Ardilo was very surprised all of a sudden. Taera is nearby.

"What are you doing? Why are you smiling to yourself," Taera asked?

"I.. I... No, it's okay," said Ardilo confused.

"Oh, okay, I'll go first. After this, I have class," said Taera.

"Tae..." Ardilo called when Taera had walked a few steps.

"Yes?" Taera said.

"Are you really not mad at me?" asked Ardilo seriously.

"No. Why should I be angry with you?" Taera asked.

"I don't know why I feel like you're angry or maybe... jealous?" said Ardilo.

"Jealous, why? Why not," said Taera, who was hiding when she was jealous. She didn't want Ardilo to know.

"Well then. Oh yeah, are you busy this Saturday? If you're not busy, let's eat at the restaurant at that time," said Ardilo.

"If you eat together, you don't have to go to the restaurant yesterday. It's okay. You're just busy," said Taera.

Ardilo smiled. He was glad Taera was very understanding with him. For Ardilo, Taera is the most qualified to be his girlfriend. Because Taera really understands his busy life.

"No, I'm not busy this Saturday. We can go to the restaurant. Oh yeah, when is your department meeting?" asked Ardilo.

"Earlier, Belinda said that her departmental meeting was on Friday afternoon," Taera replied.

"Okay, I'll pick you up Saturday. But if you have an impromptu agenda, just let me know. It's time for Belinda to change her mind, going to a departmental meeting on Saturday," said Ardilo.

"Yes. I'll tell you later. See you," said Taera, then walked to her class.

Ardilo wants to walk towards his class. But then he met Kaino.

"Brother, do you have class?" asked Kaino.

"Still an hour to go. Why?" asked Ardilo back.

"I want to talk to you about something," said Kaino.

"Talk about what?" asked Ardilo.

"Taera," said Kaino.
