Chereads / Goliath - 9 / Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Omit Art Gallery

Washington D.C

10:24pm

Cindy Lockheart was outside in her car, with Cage in the passenger's seat; they were parked outside the art gallery.

Cage said to Cindy, "Can we hurry this up? We have to be at the Pentagon by morning."

"I'm telling you, this is where the deal is supposed to go down."

"Oh really who gave you the tip?"

"Don't worry about all that, you just know that Chris Toma the kingpin of the M45 Cartel is in that art gallery."

"What's his story?"

"Chris Rojas Toma. Founder of the M45 Cartel, ran a trafficking parade for seventeen years straight and murdered hundreds of children and women. He's still on the run as we speak."

"What's he doing all the way down here?"

"Profit. Money. Avoidable Detection. Isn't that what everyone's after nowadays?"

"Okay, does he have anything to do with everything that's going on in the world right now?"

"What? World War 3?"

"Yeah."

"He plays a huge part. See I heard that he has the blueprints for the techs; the geo weapons that could wipe out a whole nation in just a few hours. He's been distributing weapons and drugs to Shaw and Haines. I do my homework."

"Have the photographs for those machines? We can't walk into the Pentagon empty handed."

"Of course I have them."

"So where is your snitch?"

"Inside the gallery right now. He works for Toma, undercover."

"Are we just gonna sit here?"

"No. I already know what I'm going to do. Im just waiting on the signal."

"Your snitch is Kersey, isn't it?"

"And if he is?"

"I'm guessing you haven't went over his reputation. He's a known contraband dealer. And a little dyslexic."

"All I heard is that he was a good asset."

"Oh really from who?"

"Jack."

"Morrissey?"

"Mhm. I need you to do something for me."

Inside the art gallery, Chris Toma and his men stood in the middle of the lobby. Across from them, was Jack Morrissey and some of his men. Jack was holding a briefcase, and Chris Toma was looking right at it. Chris Toma had peach skin, semi bald head, a few wrinkles, and a goatee.

Toma said, "Enough time has been wasted."

Jack replied,"A deals a deal."

"Do you have them or not? Cause if not...I won't waste any time killing everyone in this room."

"Your hostile temper is really ruining the vibes in here. Yeah I have the blueprints. The techs should be ready sooner after you go over these."

"Bring it here. Sit it on that table."

"Fine," Jack said walking over to a four foot tall white table, and placing the briefcase on it. Toma pulls out his gun from his waistline holster, and starts walking to the table. He looks at the briefcase, and put his hand on it. He opened it up, and his eyes grew.

Toma pointed his gun at Jack, and everyone else in the room pointed their guns at each other.

Toma said calmly, "You think I'm stupid?"

Jack replied calmly, "What's wrong?"

Chris Toma reached in the briefcase and pulled out the papers that were in there, and threw them at Jack's feet. The papers were drawings of monsters from an eleven year old boy.

Jack said, "Oh, my son loves to draw."

"I don't think you realize who I am. Or what I am capable of."

"Is shooting people one of them? Cause we're kinda like wasting time."

"Yes that is one. Also blowing people up while their family is tied up watching their loved one get put down. I don't think that's something you wanna go through. You, your son, or your daughter."

"I never told you I had a daughter."

"Your wife told me. Brittany, right?"

Jack pulled out his pistol from his hip, quickly pointed it at the main light that was shining in the whole gallery, and shot it. It was pitch black and the gunfire started going off.

Outside, Cindy got out the car, shut the door, and went straight to the trunk. She opened it up, and there were vests, ammo, and guns in the back. She grabbed a vest, a submachine gun, and a sidearm; she began to put the vest on and check the ammo of her weapons. She slammed the trunk door closed, and headed towards the entrance of the art gallery.

Cage yelled to Cindy, "Your insane!"

"I know!" She replied back.

Cindy approaches the door, opens it, and gets to cover real quick as the door shuts behind her. No one could see anything, Toma and his men were looking for a way out, figuring the front door was blocked by Jack's men. Toma got behind a pillar and reloaded his pistol. He turned, and started shooting randomly into the darkness. Toma's men were shooting, and taking cover, or getting killed. Jack was moving forward holding two desert eagle pistols, and was shooting. Cindy aimed forward, looking at Toma's men, and fired at them. Outside at the car, Cage got out, and started moving to Toma's vehicle. As he was walking towards it, a bullet hit a car beside him. He hurried to get to cover, he couldn't spot the shooter. He pulled a small electronic box from his pocket, laid on his stomach, crawled under Toma's car, and stuck the device under the car. It was a tracking device.

He rolled out from under the car, and moved away from it. The shooter was still shooting at him, and Cage kept his head down as the bullets smash the windows of the cars near him. Inside the gallery, Cindy shot down two of Toma's men, then moved to take cover behind a steel shelf with artifacts on it. One of Toma's men moved up, shooting at Jack. Jack spun, aimed his pistol at the enemy, and shot him three times in the chest and once in the stomach. Cindy slid behind a white bench, and Kersey was right beside her.

Kersey said to her, "This is what you were looking for." He handed her two flashdrives, and she took them from his hand.

Cindy said, "How did you get these?"

"I have contacts in Paris who helped me peak around Toma's safehouse there."

"What does this contain? Other than heavy weaponry?"

"You need to show these flashdrives to the President. It contains a portfolio of the nuclear bio weapon that can power the techs more conveniently. I didn't get to look at all the contents of the flashdrive, so you'll probably find something."

"Okay...thank you."

"I won't be tagging along to the Pentagon, I have unfinished business to take care of."

"Call me later, were in the middle of people trying to kill each other," Cindy and Kersey nodded at each other and ran their separate ways. Bullets smacked near Cindy, she turned and shot down one of Toma's men. Cindy moved through the darkness, shooting down targets one after another. One of Toma's men grabbed Cindy's head. She dropped her gun, elbowed him in the stomach, used the back of her head to hit him in the face, grabbed his arm, and flipped him to the ground, she stepped on his face. Jack slid across the floor shooting, taking down two of Toma's men. Bullets hit the floor near him, he rolled over and got behind a case. Toma was outside the gallery, and had three men escorting and protecting him. Cage was hiding under a car, wishing he had a gun. Toma hopped in the car along with the rest of his goons, started the engine and took off. Cindy and Jack ran out the gallery together, and they began shooting at Toma's getaway car. His car got away, and it was quiet out there. Jack looked at Cindy and asked, "And your here because?"

Cindy replied, "Got a tip on the whereabouts of Toma."

"We did too. Why do you think we're here?"

"'President's daughter safe?"

"And secure. Your that girl General Dudnean was talking about," Jack said as him and Cindy were walking to Cage.

Cage was leaning on the hood of a car, rubbing his hands together.

Jack said to Cage, "Who are you?"

"Your ally."

"No like what's your name?"

"Oh, Shawn Bronte. But you can call me Cage because it sounds cool."

"Fine then. Shall we escort you guys to the white house?"

"What time is the meeting again?"

"In the morning. You guys will spend the night in one of the rooms then meet up with the so called 'important people' of the government and discuss certain topics and you better have answers prepared for every question they have just in case."

Cindy said, "Any new intel on Volk?"

"We were hoping that you would fill us in with that."

"I mean we have some. I've had some guys trail him, haven't heard back from them yet."

"Eh. If you haven't heard back from them now, they're dead."

"Oh really? And what does a private military have to do to conjoin with the United States government?"

"Same thing you two did, yell out loud. I have kids, I don't want anything happening to them. If a war comes here in this city, then hope is gone."

"That's why I won't rest until the enemy is six feet under the dirt."

"Don't get ahead of yourself, be patient and get in line. Your not the only one who wants a crack at these guys."

"And what about Samantha?"

"She'll be found, eventually."

Unknown location

1 hour later

Shaw and Haines sat at a table, weapons rested on top of it. Haines was a skinny man, gray eyes, and brown and blonde hair, in his mid 30's.  The table was eight feet long, and Shaw and Haines sat at each end.

Shaw said, "How many in total?"

"A hundred thousand dead sir."

"That'll have to do. Our quota was the whole civilization of Austin Texas."

"Now we know that the Klover works."

"Yeah but Volk needs to hurry up and bring the ingredient for the tech machines. They're getting cold in my basement."

"I'll get in contact with him as soon as possible. And what about the President?"

"What about him?"

"His daughter just arrived. Want us to get her?"

"Because of us, all the nations in the world are fighting each other. Making allies with no one. Our act in Texas was our first major hit on the U.S. Trust me, General Dudnean won't let this go without a fight."

"You've been watching the news lately?"

"No, I been too busy."

"It's Koleji."

"Did she do well?"

"It's pretty brutal, sir."

"What did she do to impress me?"

"Well you know she's a sorcerer."

"I know that. Stop telling me things I already know. What did she do?"

"Reports came in that vietnamese soldiers has been waking up out of their sleep screaming, and running around having seizures and having nightmares while their awake, basically the horrific hallucinations."

"And you thought Koleji wasn't gonna be an asset."

"Because she's demonic."

"Aren't we all? Koleji will be a huge weapon towards the soldiers of the U.S. Her abilities can manipulate them and have them scared out of their minds. Call her down here, so I can give her instructions."

" Okay...So what now?"

Shaw stood up out of his chair, pushed his chair in, and started walking back and forth.

Shaw said, "We're winning this fight. The U.S is the only country that hasn't retaliated out of the war room."

Haines stood up and answered, "Are you saying our main target is the U.S.?"

"Don't you get it? The United States is the most powerful country in the world. We take down the alpha, then we take its place."

"We're starting an apocalypse. First we got every country and state shooting at each other, causing extinction. We might have to think about this."

"Don't be stupid. The war has already started, it's too late to stop it."

"We ever gonna join forces with anyone?"

"Remember we tried that before. With Samantha. She tried to ambush us when we agreed to a one on one meeting. She's not to be trusted do you understand?"

"Yes sir."

"If you see her you shoot her on sight. Putting a couple rounds in her head will send a message to her whole family."

"What will we do if Jasiah finds her? I mean that is his mom."

"We have to get him before he finds her."

"Why?"

"Cause if he finds her, all hell would break loose on our side. We need Jasiah for this little science experiment we have set up. His father was a suitable component. But now since he's dead and weak, Jasiah has his DNA , and plus he's younger and stronger."

"How do you know them?"

"Doesn't matter."

"Sounds strange but okay."

"Come on, we got more Americans to kill."

Washington D.C

Morning time

Rachelle drove, as Jasiah was sitting in the passenger's seat. She was on the road, heading to a nearby suit store. Figured Jasiah couldn't walk inside the Pentagon looking like he fought off a hundred snakes.

Rachelle asked Jasiah, "Like wearing suits kid?"

He replied, "No do you?"

"I like to dress presentable. Were heading to a store to get you cleaned up."

"Where are your men taking Keslan and Leah?"

"To a nearby safehouse with some other soldiers. Once me and you are done handling business at the Pentagon, then we'll ship you guys off to base; where you'll meet your squad."

"What about you?"

"I'm a colonel. I can practically do what I want. I'm kidding but I decided to embark with you guys in fighting this fight."

"And may I ask why?"

"Your squad is gonna be the squad doing all the dangerous stuff."

"First response team?"

"Yeah, and sorta like a task force too."

"But we only just got here."

"Based on your history, you will know how to handle a gun."

"Stalking much?"

"We have files on everyone who enlists," Rachelle implied as she turned the steering wheel right, turning into another road.

Jasiah said, "I enlisted at the wrong time."

"No Jasiah you enlisted at the worst times in history. Hope that makes you feel better."

"Yeah totally."

"Ten times worse than what you see in first person shooters."

"I feel a whole lot better thanks."

Rachelle parked at a nearby clothes shop, where they sold suits that cost more than two thousand dollars and three cents. Rachelle turned the car off and opened the door, Jasiah did the same, shutting the door. They both start walking up to the front door of the shop, and immediately, a black buff bald dudue dressed in a tuxedo opens the door for them, nodded and said, "Happy Frontier."

As they walked inside, Jasiah leaned over to whisper to Rachelle, and said, "Happy Frontier?"

Rachelle responded, "I have no clue what that is, they always say that."

Suddenly they were greeted by a short bald man with a goatee, his suit was heavily shiny and he had on pink shades.

He said excitedly, "Welcome Frontier, to Castle's John! My name is Tony, and I will be assisting you in this journey!"

Rachelle replied, "No time to waste, we need a suit for him that is Presidential like."

Tony looked at Jasiah, inspected him, looked up and down at him, and said, "Oh my goodness boy you look like you just fought off the Avengers and survived."

Jasiah said, "That's new."

Tony replied, "I know the perfect outfit for you. Follow me fellow Frontiers!"

Tony walked towards the back of the store, heading for the "VIP" room, where if Tony takes you back there, he has you wait in a big oval red room, well decorated, while he personally hand picks the best suit with the best price. Tony opened a brown door, and they walked in, the room was expected to be well decorated, which it was. Tony stretched his hand out towards a red leather couch, and Rachelle and Jasiah walked to it, and sat down.

Tony said cheerfully, "Stay put right here while I go find you the perfect fit!" Tony walked away and Jasiah rolled his eyes and leaned back on the couch.

Rachelle looked at Jasiah and said, "So what's with you and Leah? I know something's going on."

"Like what?"

"You like her, but you're afraid she doesn't like you back so you're too chicken to see how she feels about you and to tell her how you feel about her."

"That's ridiculous. Having a crush on someone is for babies."

"Jasiah in case you haven't noticed, 19 year olds in the forces are considered babies."

"And how old are you?"

"You don't ask women that….I'm 36."

"Young for Colonel."

"That's new."

"So give me the run down on what you know so far."

"What do you mean?"

"You know, what's the story of everything? What Intel do we have and etcetera."

"All we know is that Shaw and Haines are creating something big. And the new Chinese President, Tsuyunaki Chaseinya, is attacking us, Shaw, Egypt, Great Britain, and Germany. So far we've gotten millions of civilians to safety."

"Wait, so you do think some parts of the U.S is gonna be in ruins."

"With the way things are shaping out right now what else is there to think? We never thought there would be another world war, but it happened. I ordered the command to evacuate citizens, with the approval of the President of course."

"What's President Mason's say on this?"

"He says were ready for a fight even though we've been on the defensive the whole time."

"We'll be on the offensive when…?"

"When President Mason brews something up with General Dudnean."

"Will he be there? At the Pentagon?"

"Trust me kid, we have a lot to worry about, but nothing to be scared of."

"Heard that before."

Tony came back into the room all weird and shouted, "Which one would the kid prefer? The grey rocky suit, or the black lawyer attire?"

"Gimme the lawyer suit. Looks, accepting," Jasiah said standing up and grabbing the suit from Tony.

"Wise choice. That'll be three thousand dollars."

Jasiah looked at Rachelle and said, "Oh, my goodness."

Rachelle stood up, laughed, pulled out her wallet, pulled out her credit card, and handed it to Tony.

She said to Jasiah, "Go ahead and put on the suit, I'm gonna go make sure Tony doesn't take any unnecessary money from my account. Look spiffy kid."

Jasiah walked inside one of the dressing rooms, and began changing clothes. Seven minutes later, Jasiah walked in the lobby wearing the new suit, and Rachelle and Tony stare at him, admiring how he actually goes good with the suit.

Rachelle said, "You look much better now kid. And presentable. Let's go, their expecting us."

Tony said to Jasiah, "You look gorgeous in that suit!"

Jasiah looked at Rachelle and said, "Yeah theirs too much feminism going on in here let's leave, now, immediately."

Unmarked Safehouse

Washington D.C

The safehouse was near an old factory that was abandoned years ago due to minor pollution. Safehouse was three stories high, and was occupied by thirty plus armed agents mixed with mercenaries, including Leah and Keslan. Leah was in a room with the door closed, changing her dirty bloody clothes. After, she sat down on the bed and kept messing with the bruise on her cheek. She sat there, rethinking the horrors she faced and trying to get them out of her head. But it was no use, witnessing her mother die in front of her changed her whole mood. There was a knock on the door, Leah ignored the first two knocks. Then the knock came again, and she got up from the bed and went to the door. She opened it and it was Keslan.

She said, "Keslan?"

He replied, "I need your advice."

"On?"

"Women."

"Come in," She said letting him in the room. He sat on the bed, and wiped his hair. Leah walked to the bed and sat at the end of it

Keslan said, "Okay listen, when a girl doesn't pick up the phone when I call, what does that mean? Does she hate me? Or is she kinda like mad at me?"

"It all depends on what she thought you did was stupid and what you thought at that moment and after."

"Yeah but you see I didn't do anything. She was up in Atlanta for a big meeting and stuff."

"Atlanta?"

"Yes Atlanta."

"And this girl is your?"

"Fiancè. I called her like ten times but she didn't answer, I'd rather her be mad at me and not answer the phone than being dead and still not answering the phone."

"Don't think like that, you'll find her, or she'll find you. You got kids or something?"

"I wish. Me and her talked about it, how we wanted triplets. How we were gonna raise our family inna mansion, and take our kids to play golf with billionaires."

"How did you two meet?"

"Well, she's Jasiah friend. I was kind of in a bad state at one point, and Jasiah noticed I was acting different in a way where my sin grew more than the hair on my head. So, Jasiah set me up on a blind date, and that's how I met Kathy."

"What's she like?"

"She's very outgoing, adventurous, mean sometimes, likes trap metal music, and she's a great cook. You two would totally bond."

"We probably would..I actually like trap metal music. But Keslan, I could tell your bored. Go take a walk or something."

"I don't think it's safe."

"What do you mean?"

"I heard some of the other guys talking and what not, and said that Shaw's men walk among the people."

"They may be right. But hey, Call the underground shelter in Atlanta, I heard many people were evacuated under there to be safe from the attacks. They got a transmitting tower, they'll receive the call. Kathy might be there."

"Smart. But what if she's not there?"

"Then she's dead."

"Thought you said not to think like that?"

"Alot of times in our lives we gotta be ready to face the truth, otherwise we'd be dead on the inside."

Minutes later, Keslan was looking out a window in his own room, and Leah was in her room putting a bandage on her shoulder. Keslan closed the window, and walked out his room, closed the door, and walked down the steps. In the main room on the first floor, there was five heavily armed guards talking i a circle laughing and stuff. Keslan walked in the middle of it and one of them said to Keslan, "Aye you, your the guy who survived the Texas bombing yes?"

"Yeah one of them. You knew that already."

"Where's your bro?"

"At the Pentagon with the Colonel."

"What's his name again?"

"Jasiah. His names Jasiah."

"I know that."

Minutes later, Leah was walking in the street with her hands in her pockets. The streets were busy, and horns were honking.

"Yeah their evacuating for the war," Leah thought to herself.

Newspaper boys were on the sid of the road saying, "Repent! For the end is near! Confess Jesus as your Lord and Righteous Savior and you will live! The end is near my people, the end is near!!!"

Leah continued to walk down the street and examine all the commotion brewing up on the Washington roads. Parents were carrying their children and placing them in a car, and other families were crying while stuffing their luggage and belongings in a RV. Everywhere Leah turned her head, it was about the war. Leah looked to the right and saw a diner, she walked to the door, opened it, and walked in. It was filled with people arguing about President Mason's contradictions.

"Oh please! The President said himself that the war will only bring ruin upon mankind!"

"This war is not only neccessary, but redefining and reshaping our very lives. Even though our lives are at stake, we should know World war 3 is the best act of patriotism!"

"Oh what do you know about patriotism? Tell a marine he's fighting to kill and he'll shoot you dead."

Leah ignored the altercation and made her way towards the counter near the register. She sat in one of the high chairs, and brushed her hair with her hand. The T.V. in the corner of the diner came on, and everyone got silent. Leah looked at the T.V. as well, and President James was on the screen with General Dudnean. They were in front of the Pentagon, standing on a stage with news crews and reporters and stuff out there, pointing their microphones and recorders at them. Cindy and Cage were also on the stage, standing off to the side.

General Dudnean said, "People of America, it has came to our attention that we are being sabotaged by spies. Hidden in our own backyard and front. We will no longer sugarcoat the impacts made to us, because it is for your sake and safety. Many have asked when will the war be taken care of, and my only answer to that is, it's in the making. The root of the war began with Austin Shaw. If we kill him, it will not stop this war. But if we kill off their supply and leaders, it will cease the casualties of the world. A world with war shows no peace until evil is conquered."

President Mason added, "Each day, the human population suffers from the hands of terrorism and violence. We did not shoot the first shot, our nation was engaged upon, so now, we are gonna fight back."

A male reporter with a beard in the crowd asked President Mason, "Mr. President, have you thought about the cost of rebuilding our homes? Homes that will be bombed to dust in just a matter of days or even hours? How much do you think you would have to spend to clean up the destruction?"

"As of right now, we want to focus on protecting you guys, making sure you get to the underground shelters until the war is over."

A woman reporter in the crowd asked the President, "And what consists of the fallout shelters underground?"

"The shelters underground was built years ago by John F. Kennedy. We were advised to more perpendicular assets to the colony of American heroes and the Capital. The shelters underground can hold over 100,000 people. There's plenty of food and water and clothing. Enough room for families to sleep in their rooms or dorms. With hundreds of generators down there, the power could last for more than 50 years. Which, I don't plan on keeping them down there that long. We have at least 5,000 shelters all around the world. We have effected our purpose for the safety of this nation."

General Dudnean said, "Are we perfect? No. We got word from our informants that Russia is planning an attack on New York City in a few hours. The good news is, were getting people evacuated right now as we speak."

A reporter asked the General, "And the bad news? Besides Russian leaving New York City in ruins?"

"The bad news is that our soldiers our going out there to stop them. As bad as that may seem, we pray that God be the protector of this country."

Leah looked away from the TV, and there was a cup of coffee sitting in front of her. The waiter behind the counter stood in front of her saying, "Coffee's on the house."

Leah responded, "Thank you." Leah took the drink and pretended to drink the coffee. When the waiter walked away, she spit the coffee back into the cup. Many years of her being through hell, she can't trust anyone. Her mindset was focused on delivering pain to the people who hurt her. She hasn't been in a relationship in two years, after her ex boyfriend cheated on her, sending her a video of him cheating because he thought she was cheating. After that, she had no mission to seek love, only a way to heal her longtime hurt and depression. She just wanted to feel accepted and loved, but she mostly got loneliness and rejection. She isolated herself alot of times, to keep away from the world. But she did it too much, to the point where she began cutting lines on her arms and developing more depression.

Leah was approached by a man in a suit, by the name of Jack. Yes, Jack Morrissey.

Jack sat beside her and said, "Thought I'd find you here."

Leah responded, "What do you want?"

"Nothing. Just that your part of the first response team. Your gonna be under Sergeant Brandon."

"So what?"

"You always been like this?"

"Like what Jack?"

"Mean. Aggressive."

"You don't know me."

"Oh I actually do."

"Lemme guess, General Dudnean ran a background check on all of us, and he shared them with you so it could be easier to track us by our interests."

"Kinda. Well kinda sorta. When you make observations like that, it makes it seem like I'm a stalker. I'm just trying to connect with your team."

"So you've met Jasiah, Keslan, and Brandon?"

"Not Jasiah or Keslan, but me and Brandon are old friends. And I've came here to show you your team before you fight alongside them."

"They here?"

"No, but I got their files," Jack said as he pulled out a folder, and slapped it on the table. He slid it over in front of Leah, and she opened it up.

Leah said, "Who's this?"

On the first file, it was a bald man, 30 years old, brown skinned, brown eyes, and scruff thin bear.

Jack said, "That's Wade Johnson. He goes by the name 'Tank'. Worked with a newspaper company at the age of 22. He's a bit of a hot head, but he's trustable."

"What else?"

"He has a condition of paranoia and PTSD from childhood events. Parents died in a car crash when he was only six years old."

"Tragic. Who's next?" Leah turned the page, and it was a girl on the portfolio. Dark blonde hair, brown eyes, and 5 foot eight.

Jack said, "That's Kayla Allison. Goes by 'Kayla'. Twenty two years old, joined the rangers the same time you did. You talk to her?"

"Yeah I met her at Fort Henry. I never knew she would be part of my team."

"Yeah well, she was a criminal during her teenage years before she joined. I believe y'all two could connect well."

"She's not really an introvert."

"We've figured that out when she went off on a guy at a drive - thru, walked in the building and pointed a gun at him, and hit him on the side of the head with it."

"She seems nice. Next page."

She turned the page and saw a man with reddish brown hair, and almost clean face shave, and blue eyes.

Jack said, "That's Donnie Markson. We all call him Donnie. Once again, he came in the same time you did. Twenty four years old, and great with computers and all that tech stuff. Has a fiancè, but has two small children."

"So wait back to that Tank guy, is he a rookie?"

"Apparently yes, he came in late. Sgt. Brandon and Colonel Rachelle are the only vets in your squad. Brandon was involuntarily assigned to your team, but Rachelle volunteered. I'm gonna tell you this, you guys are gonna be the squad to take the most heat."

"Of course we are. Nothings new. Putting us on the frontline, getting us to do the main objectives while the other squads just shoot and kill the bad guy."

"Sounds about right."

Leah turned the page, and it was a twenty year old, brown eyes, peachy skin and brown hair.

Leah said, "Says here, his names Triston Reeves. Son of Commander Duggan Reeves. Enlisted days ago, apparently he was in the same fort with me. Was convicted of manslaughter when he was fourteen but got a plea to do eighteen months in a juvenile detention center."

"Yeah he's still a kid in our eyes. Very gullible, but very smart. Actually graduating early from college. And was forced into an ivy program when he was eight years old."

"Ivy program?"

"A place where children learn to kill people out of defense and survive the most terrible situations. Jasiah was there for three years, went in when he was seven. Who knows the horrors he's seen."

Leah turned the page, and it was the last one. His name was Mitchell Smith. Black hair, twenty six years old, about five foot eleven.

Jack said, "Yeah he's a ladies man. Very particular in what he says and thinks he's always right. Even though he's a rookie like you, he always seeks the limelight."

"Cool," Leah said closing the folder and sliding it back to Jack.

Leah asked, "How many people were evacuated today?"

"We counted at least fifty thousand here in Washington, we still have a long ways to go. We don't know when were gonna get attacked here, but we know it's coming. And when that day comes, you'll be here, probably defending White House from falling."

"How will we know if we lost?"

"When the enemy has control over all our systems, taking out the President and all the high leaders and decision makers in our government."

"Makes a little bit of sense."

"Well, I have to be going. I have a meeting with the President and all them other people."

"Alright," Leah responded.

Jack stood up out of the chair, and started walking out the diner. Leah looked back at the T.V and then looked back at the counter. She pulled some money out her pocket and put it in front of her and left. Minutes later, she was walking down the street once again, watching cars zoom by, and people packing. She was walking by an alley way, and saw a young girl getting pushed around by four older men. They were giving Leah the impression that they were gonna rape the young girl.

Leah yelled, "Hey!" She ran towards them, the four men looked at her and pulled out knives. They went after her. One of the men swung the blade at her, she caught his arm, broke it, grabbed his head, and slammed it against the wall. She kicked the other guy in the stomach, and dodged the attacks from the other two men. She spun and kicked one of them in the face, grabbed him by the collar, jumped, put her feet on the wall, pushed off, and drove her knee into the other guys face. She was still holding the guys collar, and she headbutted him, knocking him out. One more guy left to go. He was bigger than the other ones, and quicker. He charged at Leah and swung his fist. Leah ducked and punched him in the stomach, then hit him in the face. He grabbed her, and threw her against the wall. She fell to the ground, the man stomped his foot at her, and she rolled out the way. She spotted one of the men's knife on the ground, she grabbed it, jabbed the guy in the leg, then two more times, stood up, jabbed him in the chest, then cut him in the face. He backed up holding his face and chest. He pulled out a gun and pointed it Leah's head. She dropped the knife and reached in her back pocket. The man pulled the trigger, and the gun clicked; no ammo. He looked confused, as he was sure he loaded his gun before he left the warehouse. Leah showed him the clip to his gun, which she was holding in her hand. The man was confused, and trying to figure out when she grabbed the magazine from his gun. Then he realized she took it when she jabbed him in the chest. Gifted pickpocketing. Two gunshots rung out and the man fell to the ground. Leah quickly looked at the girl, and she was holding a pistol.

Leah said, "I'm not gonna ask if your okay, cause your obviously alive. But, how are you feeling?"

The girls said, "We need to get out of here. Now."

"What the hell is going on?"

The girl lowered her gun and said, "I don't know if they were gonna rape me or what. They were talking about taking me to a truck. So I figured out they kidnap young girls and sell them."

"Are you planning to get away from Washington? Are you alone?"

"Now I'm alone. They have my daughter and I can't get to her."

"I guess I can figure out why. Where did you last see her?"

"At the market. We were there, and she was grabbed by two men in black. They had guns and I still went after them, and next thing I knew, they were gone."

"Russian?"

"No, they had like a Japanese or Korean accent."

"Okay, get to the shelter. I'll bring her to you. I promise."

"Let me come with you."

"No. You have my word, I'll bring her back."

"Please bring her back to me. Her name's Abigail."

"Head to the shelter.... Go!"

The girl nodded and started running past Leah, and Leah looked straight ahead.

Back at the safehouse, Keslan was using the bathroom at the urinal, seeming relaxed. After he used the bathroom, his phone rang in his pocket. He dug in his pocket and answered the phone, saying, "Yo."

The voice on the other end breathed heavily, not saying a word. Then the voice answered, "Die!" One side of the safehouse was hit by a rpg rocket, the whole house rumbled and shook. Keslan fell to the floor as he heard yelling outside, and also gunfire. He shook dust off his head, and struggled to get to his feet. The lights in the safehouse flickered on and off, and he leaned up against the wall. He opened the bathroom door and was out in the hallway. Soldiers were running by him, carrying injured soldiers, and running to the outside with rifles. Two more rockets hit the wall, and the safehouse was starting to fall apart. Keslan made his way down the hallway, trying not to fall through cracks. A soldier fell through the roof above Keslan and fell down in front of him. He had a bullet in his face, and a piece of a pipe through his chest. He was holding a rifle, Keslan bent down and picked it up. He started to walk carefully through the failing hallway. A man appeared down at the end of the hallway, dressed in all red camo. He lifted his gun at Keslan and pulled the trigger, releasing bullets at him. Keslan ran to the right and busted a door down to enter a room. The guy in all red camo started to run down the hallway, and head to the room Keslan busted into. He walked in, and the man was automatically shot down dead. Keslan got up off the floor, and approached the dead guy. He pulled him deeper into the room and bent down near him. He pulled off the mans mask, and he was Japanese.

"What?" Keslan said to himself in a confused matter.

He stood up, and left the room immediately. He ran through the hallway as bullets raced through the walls. He walked down a set of steps, one part of the safehouse exploded, and he began falling down the steps. When he hit the bottom of it, he quickly stood up, noticing there was no time to waste, and that each second standing still gets closer to being shot at. He was in the living room, and saw six ally soldiers posted up at a window, holding off the Japanese hitmen outside. Keslan ran to a window, and spotted at least thirty enemy soldiers shooting and taking cover outside the safehouse. Keslan aimed outside, and started shooting, killing one of them. One of the soldiers in the room was shot down, and his partner hurried to tend to him. Keslan reloaded his gun as bullets flared his direction. A Japanese soldier entered the room shooting wildly, Keslan hurried to turn around, and shot at least eleven bullets into the enemy, killing him. He moved to the other side of the window and kept shooting outside. Keslan moved to a different window, as the enemies outside were shooting rapidly towards his direction. Keslan dove to the floor, with his head down. He yelled, "We gonna get support or what?!"

A soldier yelled back at him, "Head to the communications room and call in for extraction and hellfire! I'll cover you, go!" The soldier said as he was shot through the neck.

Keslan got up off the floor, and ran through another door. He was in the dining room and got to cover immediately as three enemy Japanese soldiers walked in through the other door and started shooting at him. Bullets punched and banged everywhere, Keslan kept his head down. Keslan sat up and started shooting, killing one of them, and moved back down into cover as the other remaining enemy soldier took cover. Keslan got down lower and crawled behind a desk. The enemy soldier began to walk closer while shooting at the desk. Keslan put his rifle on the floor, and charged at the enemy. He tackled him on top of a table, and began punching. Bullets were still steaming through the walls, completely tearing the safehouse to shreds. The enemy soldier kicked Keslan off of him, and Keslan fell to the floor. The enemy soldier pulled out his pistol and pointed it at Keslans chest area. He was about to shoot, until he was shot in the back multiple times, and his body shook in impact. He coughed up blood, dropped down to his knees, and fell to the floor. Keslan reached to his right, and grabbed his rifle. He stood up, and was trying to figure out who killed the attacker. He shrugged and kept going. He approached another hallway, and two enemy soldiers were waiting for him. Keslan opened fire, and shot them both down. From another room, a grenade was thrown at Keslan's feet. Keslan kicked it, and in mid air, it blew up, blowing Keslan far back smacking against a wall. Keslan was okay, but his back felt broken. The hallway was dusty, and smoke filled it up. Keslan focused his eyes on the mist, and saw someone walking towards him. Keslan was ready to shoot, but it was the soldier he met downstairs an hour or two ago; Corporal Turner. He had on all black, and a skeleton mask. He reached his hand out to Keslan, Keslan reached back, grabbed his hand, and was pulled up to his feet.

Keslan said to him, "Who are these guys?"

"It's Marcus."

"Levine?"

"Let's go, we have to get to the comms room. There's a detonator being occupied in there that will take out the bad guys outside, all completely. Follow me."

Keslan and Turner moved through the house, with their guns ready and up, hurrying to the comms room before the building is completely gone, as in "poof".  Four enemy soldiers were down in the hallway, and Turner and Keslan shot them all down. Keslan ran to a nearby window, smashed out the glass with the end of his rifle, and started shooting the enemy that was outside. Turner continued down the hallway and pressed through the enemy, killing one after another. He reached the comms room, and found the detonator. He went to the table, grabbed the detonator and left the room; Keslan was at the other end of the hallway.

Turner yelled, "I got it!" He began running to Keslan. Suddenly, Turner was tackled by an enemy soldier and went straight through a wall. The detonator was high in the air and the middle of the floor caved in, leaving a big hole. Keslan dropped his rifle, started running forward, and jumped across the gap in the floor, catching the detonator in mid air. When he reached the other side, he fell on his hip. But he pressed the detonator. Outside, a strip of explosions started destroying the enemies into the air. They started to retreat, as a few gunshots were going off. Keslan laid right where he was at, smiling and laughing. He sat up, and tossed the detonator to the side. Minutes later, he was walking out the safehouse, dirtied up again. There was a few soldiers out there, and a bunch of cops and military police and choppers, ambulances, detectives and forensics. He began to sit down on the hood of a car, examining the blood on his hip. A detective by the name of Samuel Law approached Keslan.

Samuel said, "Keslan."

Keslan replied, "I didn't do anything. So get whatever thoughts you have about me out of your head."

"I never said you did anything. I just wanna know who did this."

"They were Japanese soldiers. Well, I wouldn't say soldiers, their fighting style and techniques were carefully performed."

"Like mercenaries?"

"No, like hitmen. And I wouldn't blame the Japanese President for this. Does the name Marcus Levine ring any bells?"

"Where did you hear that name?"

"Corporal Turner, he was here with me, saved my life. I think he's dead though, but listen to me and don't lie, who really is Levine?"

"A killer. A man who has hundreds upon hundreds of hitmen under his belt that would kill anyone for even a thousand dollars. Highly trained, and some even former military. Don't you watch the news?"

"The news is boring. Who watches the news?"

"I do."

"How did they know we were here? Someone must have given him a tip."

"You don't say?" Samuel responded sarcastically.

"Definitely not the time to be sarcastic. You know where to find him?"

"If we ever find him, it's because he wants to be found. You just don't find him, he moves locations every thirteen hours."

"And you know this because?"

"Me and Seal Team Six tried hunting him down. We had every little piece of Intel on Marcus, and every little operation points he pinned on his board. Seems to me, like he waited until now to show himself but with more power and strength in numbers. You see with Levine, he can attack at any moment. It's very rare he'll send all his men at you at once."

"What do you think will happen if we don't find him? You think he has any relation to Austin Shaw?"

"If you don't kill him in right timing, your forces will become crippled. And we found out that Levine and Shaw used to be business partners, and now they hate each other and seek destruction on both parties."

The Pentagon

Washington D.C

2:13pm

Jasiah and Rachelle walk through the front doors of the Pentagon, they were escorted by four security agents. Jasiah said to Rachelle, "Seema weird in here."

She replied, "It's okay if your scared."

"Who said I was scared of sitting in a room full of the most powerful and smartest people in the world?"

"You just did."

"Whatever okay, let's just get this over with."

They were escorted down a hallway, and the whole Pentagon was busy.

Rachelle looked at Jasiah and said, "Now act professional as you can. Like, say big words."

"You know I hate school and big words. I'll try to act like a governor or something."

"You know what, just be you."

"Gladly."

They approached an elevator, it automatically opened. They walked inside along with the agents, and the doors closed. An agent pressed a button on the elevator, and the elevator started descending.

Jasiah looked at an agent and asked, "What's up man?"

The agent just looked at him, shook his head, and looked away. Jasiah said, "Rude."

The elevator went slow, and Jasiah was clearing his throat every five seconds, being impatient.

Rachelle said to him, "This meeting isn't gonna be very long."

Jasiah responded, "How do you know that?"

"I don't. I'm not gonna prolong it though."

"I'll be pleased if you don't."

"Just don't do anything that will make you look retarded."

"I'm not a child. I have self control, yeah I been into trouble, ran with the wrong people. But I'm serious this time. My father would've wanted me to make a change in this world. Basically killing Shaw, paving the way for God to send him straight to hell."

"Your very disturbed did you know that?"

"Hey I had a pretty normal life if you call bullets a necessity."

"Here we go again with the humble honor of the mindset."

"Yeah I don't even know what that means."

The elevator stopped, and the doors opened. The agents walked out first, then Jasiah and Rachelle followed. The agents led them down the hallway, encountering the busy lobbies and rushing workers and lazy bums in the coffee room. Three minutes later they approached the doors of the conference room, they heard chatter and thought everyone was hella mad and going crazy.

Jasiah said, "I don't want to go in there. They might maul me."

Rachelle replied, "Stop being a rabbit," Rachelle opened the door, and walked in. Jasiah followed. When they walked in, the lights were out, and they saw Cindy sitting beside Cage, General Dudnean, President Mason, Jack Morrissey, Sergeant Brandon, and Secretary of Defense John Hayford. Their eyes were focused on the big T.V. That's where the loud noise was coming from. President Mason looked at Jasiah and Rachelle and motioned his hand for them to sit down. Jordan pulled a chair out for Rachelle and she sat down mouthing "Thank you." Jasiah nodded and sat down beside her. The screen on the television showed Shaw amd Haines Harrison executing civilians and children in the streets of Okinawa. Shaw laid mothers on the ground, tied them up, sat their children in front of them, and allowed the child to watch their mother be shot multiple times in the back and head. The child screams as he cries for his mother, but it was too late. Haines would push people off a roof, from a ten story building, and they would fall to their death, leaving a big bath of blood on the ground rushing to the dirt, and their limbs out of place. These events truly were happening every single day.

President Mason used a remote to turn the television off, and the lights automatically came on.

He said, "People in those predicaments believe theres hope, some don't believe theres hope like people don't believe in God. And by the oath of presidential ancestors, the oath with God stands. Our flag was crafted by the hands of blood, and freedom is a gift given to us by God and God alone. Austin Shaw and Haines Harrison are the biggest threat to our nation; you saw what they did to those families. He's hard to track, but easy to predict. I've called all of you here to do a couple of things. Sergeant Brandon, your team full of rookies is not all we have, but their gonna be taking the most heat cause their young. We need to find out where Shaw, Haines, and Volk are."

Cindy said, "The attack on New York that's gonna happen in a few hours is not gonna be performed only by Shaw."

"Go on."

"Well, the new German President Shaihya Colson, made an alliance with Samantha King of the rebel group called the Mozzies."

"We all of heard of her."

Jasiah spoke up and said, "That's my mother."

Everyone in the room looked at him, and gave him the glare of intense pressure.

President Mason asked Jasiah, "What do you know about your Mother?"

"She's good with guns. And she can fight. And uh, she knows everything about computers and engineering."

Cindy said to the President, "Which is why I wanted to say, that Volk is going into New York to set off a nuke like Shaw did in Texas. But he's made an arrangement with Shaihya and with Samantha, and her team is gonna be jamming the radio towers so we can't bring anymore men. Shaihya's men and Shaws men are gonna be sending their men out together."

President Mason said, "And this information came from?"

"Kersey."

"Is Kersey dead?"

"Why would you think that? Do you know something I'm not aware of?"

"Do you?"

"Yes."

Jack interrupted, "The best way to track Shaw is to kidnap his children and threaten to kill them."

Jasiah replied to Jack's statement saying, "Oh yeah let's definitely track down his kids and make ourselves look like petty idiots in front of our nation; giving them an idea that we're the real monsters."

"You know kid, you got alot of nerve-,"

Cage interrupted, "Okay shut up, we can't sit here and waste time while Shaw is out there killing people and having them drink their own blood. We ran into Chris Toma at the museum."

President Mason asked, "And what did you find out?"

"That he's still in Washington."

The secretary of defense, John, had brown skin, glasses, and a sharp haircut. He said, "Reasonable predictions Cage. Our servers would've caught an aircraft departure and deployment because the waves are skyrocketing like the stock market."

"Exactly."

Rachelle looked at President and said, "Mr. President, you assigned me to go with Brandon and his squad. You've given them the authorization to be the ones to destroy the enemies nests and posts, and to carry out the main objective. But give us the opportunity to clear out the news station."

Mason said, "Why is that?"

"They may want to broadcast live mayhem. We could encounter anything there."

Sergeant Brandon supported her plea, saying, "I agree with her. Anything is happening and everything is sometimes never accounted for. And in war, its gorilla warfare tied in with a trojan horse. I say let's do it."

Mason said, "Fine. But make sure you locate Volk and his retarded friends and his dog dunk nuke."

General Dudnean said, "What about subs?"

"What about em?"

"Are we able to send em in? You know the water is close to the north side of the jammers."

"Point is made, we'll have em on stand-by. In the meantime I want Brandon and Rachelle to prep the team. Cindy, any estimated time the attack will be happening?"

"I'd say around morning time."

"Well we wouldn't want to be late for the party. Jasiah, I've gathered Intel on Mark, your father."

Jasiah replied, "So is he bad? Naughty or nice?"

"He got fired from NASA years ago before you were even born."

"What for?"

"Stealing Intel and sharing it with the Russians; he spent some time in prison but got out cause of his high paid attorney's magic. But because of him, one of our rockets were shot down."

"So what does he have to do with Shaw?"

"He's the guy he sold the intel to."

"Jesus."

"But I guess Shaw got greedy and wanted more, but your dad refused. That's what ticked him off."

"Yeah I wanna see that file you pulled, to make sure your not lying about my dead dad."

"If I was lying, we wouldn't even be sitting here trying to figure out how to track Godzilla. Listen, I know it's been hard on you. I get it, I had family in Texas. Family as in my grandfather and grandmother. And I was video chatting with them when a million mercenaries busted inside their house and shot them down to the hard floor. Their bodies shook as the bullets penetrated their skin. We need to put an end to this now."

Brandon said, "We'll arrive at New York at four O' clock in the morning. That too early?"

Rachelle said, "Maybe too late."

Jasiah said, "I remember my dad mentioning something about Alsheed Rahmad."

"Alsheed was one of the Al Qaeda leaders. Al Qaeda had many groups, like gangs have different sets but part of of the same tree. He's dead now, General Dudnean was a sergeant in that time, but your father went in to save women and their children."

"And that's where he met my mom. She was one of the women being beaten by the Al Qaeda."

"Indeed your correct. If Mark had not succeeded, they would've butchered his head off and tossed his body in a pit near a pig fence."

"What about Isis?"

"What about em'?"

"Where are they now?"

"They've been wiped out. Shaw did alot of digging, since Isis was one of the most threatening forces to our soldiers, Shaw envied them and took them out himself. Forcing even the Al Qaeda and The Sons of Talshyu to disband their terrorism."

Jack said, "Is Haines hard to find?"

"You know where he's at?"

"No."

"Then that answers your question."

General Dudnean said, "I figure Haines is always with Shaw. And if he's not with Shaw, he's with Volk. Pure logic and lecture can support my statement."

Cindy replied, "Thank you Captain obvious. Anyway, Jasiah, you can reel Shaw in."

Jasiah said, "Please don't tell me we're taking him alive. Cause if we are, then this conversation is over and I'd rather be in the middle of a bomb than see that bastard live."

"We're not taking him alive."

"Glad to hear."

Cindy turned her attention to the President and asked, "This may sound stupid, but I would like to go with Brandon and Rachelle's team."

President Mason said, "First off, you didn't officially enlist. Second, if you leave, Cage stays with us."

"Deal. I'm sure he won't mind."

Cage said, "Your right. I won't mind staying here ."

John Hayford said to Brandon, "You know the ways of warfare and suicide, you want Cindy to come with you?"

"....Yeah, she can if she want's. I ain't gone stop anyone from being a patriot."

"Good, so what about you Rachelle?"

Rachelle looked at John, then at Cindy, and said, "If she promises not to get herself killed, then we can use her nerdy instincts."

"So the arrangement, Cindy goes into combat, and Cage stays in the lab and figure out things."

Jasiah spoke up and said, "Jack, you know Leah don't you?"

Jack responded, "Yeah but how did you know?"

"You had a picture of her in your right pocket. Sounds weird if you think about it."

Jack looked down at his pocket, pushed the hanging picture back into his pocket and said, "What does that have to do with anything? Me and her aren't together so why are you on my case about it?"

"No reason."

President Mason said to Brandon, "So you know what to do? Everything clear on your end?"

"Yes sir. My team is going to sleep in their gear and with their rifles."

"Good, there's no time to waste. Let's get it done. Meeting dismissed."

Everyone in the room stood up and began collecting their things, and also talking amongst themselves. Cage looked at Cindy and said, "What are you thinking? Why would say something as stupid as that?"

"Like what?"

"Wanting to join the rangers. I don't wanna lose you, like I liked you and always wanted to take you out somewhere nice."

"I don't want to do anything like that with you. There's nothing wrong or stupid about wanting to help the nation. Where's your head at? All my life I wanted to do something that is for the right cause. I don't need your opinion to do what I want. I'm grown and you're not my father," Cindy said walking away.

Jasiah had his hands in his pockets, feeling lonely cause no one was talking to him. Cindy approached Jasiah and said, "Hey."

Jasiah responded, "Hey."

"Nice first impression with the President."

"Yeah and I wasn't even nervous."

"Sure."

"Okay I might be lying a little bit. But how am I gonna lure Shaw to me? Okay, that sounded wrong."

"National Television."

"Where are you going with this?"

"We were just talking about the newsroom and how we did not want the bad guys to go live. You can use that moment to say something or something about your whereabouts or a secret message I don't know, I'm not a nerd.. I can easily patch you into the system and the network."

"I can tell you hacked a lot of wifi passwords," Jasiah said as Cindy laughed.

"My specialty is not really hacking, I'm good with guns."

"Wish is could say the same thing."

"So how did you get tied up in all this?"

"My father. He wanted me to come to the rangers anyway. Shaw had the chance to get me, but he didn't."

"You encountered him face to face there."

"Right."

"Anything else unusual happen there?"

"Yeah, a tsunami appeared out of nowhere. In a place where tsunamis rarely occur. Like once every 100 years. I never see them there."

"We had researchers on that, apparently Shaw had men go into the deep the night before the attack and planted mines and charges on the water floor."

Abandoned building

1 hour later

Leah was laying down in the middle of a graying room that was well furnished. Five girls were in there, including Abigail. Leah woke up, and looked around, seeing scared girls crying their eyes out. The room was pretty big, and Leah was trying to figure out why the room was so ugly and gray and looked half molded, but they have everything you need, everything that has something to do with furniture and "homey." Leah stood up and looked around, and she saw the little girl.

Leah walked towards her, and Abigail kind crawled back a little. Leah said, "It's okay. I'm not gonna hurt you. Your Mother sent me. I'm gonna get you outta here."

Abigail said, "What about the other girls? They need help too..right?"

"I guess I can bring them out of here. But it's gonna be a hell hole getting them all out at once. Let me go talk to them."

Leah walked towards one girl who was sitting in the corner crying. She had brown eyes and pure blonde hair. Leah said, "What's your name?"

The girl said, "Haley. You?"

"Leah. Any idea what this place is?"

"Don't worry we're still in Washington."

"Who runs it?"

"Chris….Toma."

"Okay...Okay, we gotta work together if we're gonna get outta here."

"But they have guns and like a hundred grenades strapped around their waste."

"But if I get a hold of a gun, we're all set. Have anything useful?"

"Yeah, a shank I made. Found a piece of steel so I shaped it out to look like a knife," Haley said, grabbing the homemade knife and showing it to Leah, then handing it to her.

Leah said, "This will do nicely. Know anything about these other girls?"

"Yeah. Let me call them over," Haley stood up and called the other girls over to them and said "Hey! Come over here real quick!"

Abigail even got up and walked over there to them. The other 3 girls, Olivia, Julia, and Karea began walking to them too. Olivia also had blonde hair and peach skin. Karea had brown skin and long box braids. And Julia had dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, and white skin. They all stood in a circle, and introduced themselves.

Karea asked Leah, "So you can get us out of here?"

"Not alone. But with you guys, it's possible."

Julia asked Leah, "Do you know what they were gonna do to us?"

"You'll be sex slaves if you stay here. They'll kill you eventually if you even look like your letting yourself go."

"Bruh I gotta go. My mom is gonna be freaked out."

"I'm guessing we're all the same age here? Am I right?"

"How old are you?"

"Nineteen."

"Guess we are. This place isn't gonna be easy to leave. We can't just walk through the door stabbing people, we need an official planned out escape like they do in the movies."

"Trust me, I wasn't planning on that. Look all

we need to do is-," the lights suddenly cut on, and a woman in a black silk robe and blonde hair with peachy skin walked in through the front doors along with two armed guards that looked like highly paid government assasins.

The woman said, "All of you, get in a line, standing side by side. Now."

Leah and the other girls looked at each other, then moved towards the woman, standing in a line, standing side by side.

The woman said, "My name is Koleji. You guys will be dead in less than 24 hours. But I'll show generosity to let you go."

Leah said, "What are you talking about?"

"I work with Samantha."

"King?"

"Yes ma'am."

"So what do you want us to do? And hurry up."

Koleji smirked and said,"You really thought I was just gonna let you waltz outta here? You guys are even more gullible than I thought."

"I'm gonna kill you. In the most horrific way I know how," Leah said slowly moving the little girl Abigail behind her. Abigail grabbed Leah's hand and moved behind her.

Koleji said to Leah, "So you never heard my name? Like ever?"

"Yep. Just a few seconds ago when you introduced yourself."

"So like you didn't hear it anywhere else? You sure you did or didn't? Because my name spreads fast. Like super fast."

"So fast but your name couldn't catch up with Samantha's?"

Koleji made an evil face and said, "I'll be up there. But smart remarks could kill you. Seriously, it's scientifically proven."

"If you're gonna kill us then do it."

"Oh I'm not gonna be the one who kills you. All of you, come with me."

The two guards pointed their weapons at the girls including Leah, and yelled, "You heard her let's go!"

The girls started panicking, and began to move towards the door; Abigail grabbed Leah by the hand.

Leah said to her, "Just stick with me. I won't let anything happen to you."

Abigail responded, "You promise?"

"I don't make promises. I'll tell you what though, I'll do my best to protect you."

"Okay."

The girls were led down a dark hallway, all holding each other's hand. One of the guards was in the front of the line, and the other one was in the back, rushing the girls to hurry down the hallway.

Leah looked back at Abigail and said, "Don't lose grip of my hand!"

Abigail kept her hand shut and locked in on Leah's palm, not letting go like she was instructed. They were rushing as fast as they could, the guards yelled at the girls with more aggression. Finally, the girls reached a grey door, and one of the guards banged on the door six times. The door finlay opened, and Koleji was standing behind in front of them.

She said, "Come in."

The girls walked into the room, and the room was at least seventy feet tall, and eighty feet wide.

Leah looked at Koleji and asked, What's going on?"

Koleji responded, "Only one of you will make it out alive here today. In this room, all of you will be trying to kill each other. Or be killed yourselves. Me and my colleagues will be in the room upstairs looking down on all of you getting killed in cold blood and mauled in your own vomit."

The girls started panicking, but Leah had a straight face, actually ready to kill Koleji herself.

Leah said, "How you gonna do that? I see no guns or anyone else in here."

Koleji responded, "Hope you didn't think you were only girls we took. We're bringing all of them in here. And about the guns, you'll see them right in front of you."

Suddenly a bunch of guards ran up to the girls, including Leah and Abigail, and stuck them with needles. Making them pass out on the floor. Koleji spits on the floor, and smirks. Minutes later, Leah was on the floor, with her face towards the ceiling,  Leah put her hands on her head, and sat up. There was a grenade and a desert eagle pistol laying flat beside her. Leah stared at it, then looked away. Suddenly, Koleji's voice spoke on the loud intercom in that building.

She said, "Attention guests. We have a special event for you today. There are exactly twenty four women down there with you, and you all must kill each other to win. You have ten minutes to do it. If you fail, you'll all die and your children will die as well. Happy hunting!"

Some sort of horn sounded off, and gunshots began to blaze through the building. Leah rushed to grab the grenade and pistol on the ground. She stood up, pulled out the ammo clip in the pistol, checked the ammo, and then quickly snapped the magazine in the gun. The room was dark green, little green lights were shining on the ceiling which was at least fifty feet high. Women were shooting at each other left from right, and two of them were beating each other to death or stabbing one another to win; or to save their children. Leah moved through the building, she was worried about Abigail. A girl stood on top of a box, and started shooting at Leah with a rifle. Leah ran and slid behind a hill of trash. Bullets smacked inside the trash pile. The girl ran to the trash pile and was shocked, to see that Leah wasn't there. Out of nowhere, she was hit in the back of the head with a pistol, and she fell to the ground. It was Leah. Leah dragged the girl near a wall, she moved more, and sat her against the wall. Two girls came out of the dark and started shooting at Leah. Bullets smacked the wall and floor near her, Leah rolled out the way, grabbed a rifle from the floor, aimed, and fired; killing the two girls who were engaging upon her. Leah looked at the girl leaning against the wall, and saw she was shot in the collar bone and cheek.

Leah sighed in despair, then she ran off to find Abigail. Leah walked at a fast pace through the battle room. She yelled out, "Abigail! Abigail!"

A girl grabbed Leah from behind and put her in a chokehold. The girls in the room were shooting at each other in a deadly manner. Getting shot in all areas in the body. Leah grabbed the girls leg, lifted her up, and slammed her to the floor. Leah rushed to grab the shank from her pocket one of the girls gave her, and jammed it into the attacking girls chest. Some girls shot near Leah and bullets punched near her; she ran to the left, shooting at the same time, killing three girls. Other girls were shooting at her, while shooting at each other. Leah looked around, and saw Abigail laying on the floor. Leah yelled, "ABIGAIL!" Leah ran, until she reached Abigail. Leah slammed her rifle on the floor and placed her hands on Abigail's face. Leah repeatedly told Abigail to wake up, she didn't budge. Leah grabbed the rifle, grabbed Abigail by her shirt and started dragging her. She drug her behind a five foot blue steel canister. Bullets hit near her, and Leah shot back. She sat beside Abigail again, sat her gun on the floor and started rushing to wake her up. After multiple attempts, Abigail opened her eyes, grabbed Leah's arm and said, "Play dead. Trust me. No time for questions and answers, please do it."

Leah nodded and said, "Get ready to move with me, you'll know when."

Leah moved two feet away from Abigail, and pretended to be shot dead. She hit the floor and laid there. She slowly pulled the grenade out her pocket, pulled the pin, and slightly tossed it to where the other last three girls were. Leah turned to the other side, and the grenade blew up, killing the last three girls. All was quiet, and the air seemed in solitude. A few minutes passed by, and Koleji's voice came back on the intercom. She said in a happy and excited voice, "Thanks for playing!"

The doors opened, and men in these green and dark black camo suits on with gas masks began to walk in.

One of them said to the others, "Collect the bodies, take them to the back outside, and burn them."

One of the men spotted Leah on the floor, who was pretending to be dead. He made his way over to her, inspected her, bent down, then picked her up and sat her stomach over his shoulders. Another man did the same thing to Abigail. They carried them towards the door they entered through, and shut it behind them. Abigail looked at Leah with a scared look, Leah nodded and mouthed, "Your okay."

The two men started having a conversation, one said to the other, "So whatcha think about Shaw? People said he killed his own family."

"I believe it. There's no telling what that man is capable of doing, he's a sociopath."

"Koleji worships him."

"Nah she worships the devil. She is a witch."

"I heard she used to be married to Shaw."

"Who told you that lie?"

"What? You don't believe it?"

"Not at all. I'm actually surprised that Koleji isn't dead. And all the girls in there killed each other. Even this little girl is dead. I mean don't you think it's a little harsh?"

"Nope not at all. They pay us good money to dispose of these bodies."

"Yeah your right."

Leah quickly slammed her elbow in the back of the man's head, jumped down from his shoulder, grabbed his head and jammed it against the wall. The other guy turned around, put Abigail on the floor and pulled out his pistol, and pointed it at Leah. Leah smacked the gun out his hand and punched him in the stomach. She kicked him in the front of the head and he was out cold.

Leah looked at Abigail and said, "Okay, so I don't know what to do now."

"Change into their uniform and carry me out like they were about to do us."

"You see I thought about that. Fine, whatever let's hurry."

10 minutes later

Jasiah and Rachelle sat in a car at a drive through waiting for the long line to speed up.

Jasiah said, "This is why I said we walk inside."

Rachelle responded, "Kids are so impatient."

"Excuse me I'm 19. I'm grown."

"You can't even buy alcohol from the mini mart."

"Whatever."

Jasiah's phone rang from his pocket, he put his right hand in his pocket while his other hand was rubbing his hair. Jasiah pulled out the phone and saw that it was Keslan calling.

Jasiah answered the phone saying, "Yo wassup."

It was a few seconds of silence and heavy breathing.

Jasiah asked Keslan, "Keslan you been running?"

Keslan replied, "We've been breached at the safehouse... Hurry up over here."

"Jesus Keslan what happened?"

Rachelle sped out the drive through and headed out towards the main road.

Keslan replied, "I don't know they hit us out of nowhere. Twelve dead, seven casualties."

"God. Keslan we're on the way down there, a few minutes out."

Rachelle asked Keslan, "Okay who's out there now?"

"Everybody; the ambulance, fire department, cops, feds, and forensic guys.."

"Okay, are you hit? And is Leah okay?"

"I got grazed in the arm. But I'm fine. And Leah left an hour ago. She didn't tell anyone where she was going."

"She'll turn up. But now we gotta find out who hit us."

Jasiah replied, "People who want us dead obviously."

"Jasiah, call Leah. We need her to come back because we're leaving immediately."

Suddenly a man fell and crashed on the hood of the car, bursting the windows and shattering glass everywhere. The man was dead. Rachelle stopped the car and got out, Jasiah did the same. Rachelle was speechless, and Jasiah was confused.

Keslan was still on the other line saying, "Jasiah, what's going on?"

Jasiah looked around him and other people in cars were stopping their vehicles and getting out, checking out the damage. Jasiah looked up at the window the guy fell from, and he saw Leah and a little girl looking out of it. Jasiah didn't say anything for a few seconds.

Leah looked straight at him and said, "Hi."

Jasiah replied, "Hi."

Rachelle asked Leah, "Leah can you please explain what this is?"

Leah responded, "Yeah later, but right now I have to get this girl to her mom."

Rachelle noticed that Leah was wearing a weird looking outfit. Rachelle didn't say anything about that instead asked, "Where's her mother?"

Minutes later, they were on road driving to where Abigail's mother was.

Abigail looked at Jasiah from the backseat and said, "Are you Leah's boyfriend?"

Rachelle looked at Jasiah, and Leah said, "No he's not. He's my friend and the lady driving is Rachelle."

Jasiah replied pointing at Leah, "Yeah, listen to her."

Abigail said to Jasiah, "Are you hurt?"

"Little girl…"

Rachelle's phone rang, she used her left hand to pull her phone out while her right hand steered the steering wheel. She answered it, and started talking to Jack Morrissey. Rachelle turned on the car radio, and tuned it to the news station.

The man on the radio was saying, "More breaking news here: more underground bunkers are being built all over the world. Russian President Dmitri has ordered destruction upon twenty six military bases and over a dozen German airports. We know for a fact that The Russian president is good friends with Shaw. States are being evacuated at this time, and President Mason is preparing to attack and retaliate against any threat. The world has turned into a warzone, God help us all."

Rachelle cut the radio off and it was silent. Rachelle said to Jack over the phone, "Yeah we just heard it."

Jasiah looked in the rear view mirror, looking at Leah. Leah was looking out the window while Abigail was resting on her lap. Jasiah was lost in her eyes and never felt anything like this before. He started thinking about whether he would survive this war; he knew he was gonna be in more battles later on, which scared him every second. Leah looked up at him and grinned, Jasiah quickly turned his eyes away to look at something else. Leah silently laughed then looked at the scar on  Jasiah's neck. Leah reached over and touched it, Jasiah turned around to look at her.

Leah asked, "What happened right there?"

Jasiah replied, "I got that when I was like 10. I fell off my bike and down a hill."

"You're lying. I recognize that scar."

"Noooo you don't."

"Yessss I do I just can't figure out what it is exactly."

Rachelle overheard their conversation, she knew exactly what that scar was on Jasiah's neck, but she said nothing. Rachelle was pulling up to the entrance of the bunker, and it was chaotic. People were rushing to get in there, everyone of all ages. Leah started to wake up Abigail, Abigail woke up and looked around. Leah said, "Lets go we're here," and got out of the car, Abigail did the same. Abigail spotted her mother waiting outside with a man.

Abigail yelled, "Mom!" She started running to her. The mom started crying and ran to her daughter, and the man made his way to Abigail too. Abigail hugged her mom tight and when she saw the man, Abigail yelled "Dad!" And hugged him too. Leah was standing at a distance smiling. Abigail looked at Leah and ran to her. Abigail hugged her, Leah hugged back. Abigail's mom and dad waved and smiled at Leah. Leah waved and smiled back. Leah looked down at Abigail and kneeled down to her holding her hand.

Abigail asked Leah, "Are you gonna be okay? Fighting for us?"

"I will. It won't be easy but, I need you to stay strong, stay safe, and watch over your mom and dad. Got it?"

"I got it."

"You promise?"

"Only if you promise to protect your boyfriend."

Leah chuckled, shook her head and said, "Yes I will."

Abigail said, "Then I promise to do what you asked."

The bunkers alarm started buzzing, signifying that it was about to close.

Abigail added, "I gotta go. I'll see you soon maybe."

Leah responded, "You will. Now go."

Almost an hour later, Jasiah, Leah, Rachelle, Keslan, and Jack were on a chopper on the way to a new safehouse in Atlanta. With Atlanta being fully evacuated, it was safe to arrive there without causing attention. The war was just getting started.
