"Why are you delaying this book so much, Delilah? We have to stick with a proper release date! Your fans are waiting for the next book." Rosylen Jordan , a well-known agent from a famous publishing house sat opposite of her and pursed her lips in disappointment.

Delilah sighed and looked outside while nodding her head slightly. They were sitting in one of the posh restaurant in the heart of the city. And she could see a beautiful picturesque view of Eiffel tower. It was around afternoon and the sun was shining just on top of the tower and peek it ray in between the passing clouds that created a before halo like spectrum around the tower.

Delilah sighed in looked away, this place looked heaven on Earth, but if only heaven didn't bought this many pain. If only she could let of of things that she was holding onto tightly.

The house sky reminded her of him. The sapphire blue eyes that she was in love with. And may be still is?

"Are you even listening to what I am saying!?" Rosylen's thick french accent was very much visible in her words as she looked at her through her glasses, with her vibrant blue eyes narrowing into slit.

Delilah looked at her and then looked down fidgeting with the end of her sleeves. She knew this was going to happen. Ever since she came to Paris, she found herself penning down shot snippets and stories, something that she always loved doing ever since she was a child. And that's how it all got started, one of her close friend read one of her short story and suggested it to Rosylen, who is also a publishing agent in one of the best publishing house. And that's how she started of as a writer, and so far she has written three book and all of them were a big hit.

And that's how her passion of writing became her job too, she has resigned from the small interior designing firm and has taking full time writing.

"Please try to finish off the book as soon as possible. We can't wait for more than a month." Rosylen's voice bought her out from her reverie.

"I will do that, don't worry. I just, for some reason wasn't able to concentrate and pen down the ending." she said meekily and looked down. She knew very well what Rosylen is going to say and just like she has predicted, Rosylen freaked out.

"What do you mean by you can't concentrate!? Do whatever you have to do, but please don't make me push the given release date." Her face looked flushed in tension.

Delilah knew this was going to come, if only she could say it in her face that she was a human and can't just wrote down things which doesn't make sense ,just for the money she will be getting.

Her priority was her reader and she wanted them to like her book. Well, not just like but love her book. She wanted them to relate with ever character and that is what was taking time.

May she is also doing this for herself? The story was–really close to her. She gulped as was suddenly reminded of the owner of the sapphire blue eyes.

"I will do it on time, I just shared what I was going through while penning down this story."Delilah said softly and Rosylen nodded, still slightly unassured about the whole thing.

"Thank you for understanding and helping me thing ever thing." Delilah added as after thought and got up from the posh chair that was covered in beige cushions. The chandelier that was hanging onto illuminating the whole ambiance of the beautiful interior of the restaurant.

"And I have to go pick my son and the go to the market too." She smile and Rosylen nodded and got up too.

"See you around." Both bid adieu to each other and when the seperated ways.

Delilah stopped her car infront of the school's parking lot and waited for her son to come in. Her eyes held pain when she saw a couple walk by with their kid, who was blabbering something. Three of them looked like a perfect family, and the couple, they looked so in love. Her heart ached suddenly. She looked down and that's when her eyes fell on her empty ring finger. And as a habit that she was grown into in the last couple of years, she fidgeted with they fingers. Thinking of the time when she once dreamed of a happily ever after.

"Ma!" An excited voice bought her out before she could fall in the pit of the dark was of her past.

She turned towards the voice and saw a very excited looking Jayden walk towards her. She quickly wiped the trace of tears , if there was any, from her face and smiled at him brightly.

"Are you ready to help with the groceries,JayJay?" She winched internally as she sounded way to overenthusiastic for groceries shopping.

"I am , but aren't you too excited for something that, once you use to call ,what I say is the 'boring work'?"Jayden raised his eyebrows suspiciously towards his mother, who shook her head and festered him to sit.

"Sit down and buckle up your seatbelt, we are in for a ride!" She knew she was acting weird, but no way in Earth she wanted her son to get a hint of what she was thinking.

"Fine, fine." Jayden laughed and set next to her, but he k ew his mother was going through something and she, always didn't wanted to share it because for her, he is still a baby.

He tightened his seat belt and turned toward his mother, "Happy now let's drive!" He fake enthusiasm, when internally he was feeling anything but that.

Delilah nodded with a big smile of her own and speed toward the local market. And since their hose was situated just near heart if the city, she wanted to park the car and freshen up a bit too.

"Ma, I stink really bad, can we go home really quick so that I can change?"Jayden turned toward Delilah and scrunched his nose.

"You sure do, you stinky bunny!" She chuckled and drove toward there home.

After freshening up , Jayden and Delilah walked out of there apartment gate as the market was in a walking distance.

She told Jayden to go ahead while she will be back after parking the car, Jayden smiled and got down , while she entered the very familiar apartment's gate and parked the car.

And she got down and checked the line , and when she saw how late it was ,she rushed toward Jayden. But he ran off to his favorites food section like it was no body's business.

Traitor!

Pursing her lips she walked to the vegetable shops and just before she could pick up the fine looking ladies finger.

Her steps came into hault as her eyes clashed against a very familiar pair of sapphire blue one.
