Chapter 5 - Thrown Out of Nowhere In Another World

Christina stood up and brushed off the dirt from her pants. She had a quick look at her surroundings again.

Lush greens, a vast number of trees surrounding her, the chirping sound of birds, and the sound of running water from afar.

Water?

Dragging her oddly tired body, Christina walked towards the sound of running water. She was greeted by the picture-perfect river in between her and the big tree. Animals were lying peacefully around the vicinity.

What a sight!

The rock hitting towards the other rocks in the running water snapped her back to reality. Christina moved over to much still water. She saw her mirrored self...

This is me?

Black hair.

Black eyes.

Not only that, she was much younger and oddly beautiful.

Checking herself, she's wearing ragged clothing. It seemed as if she survived a life-threatening journey just by the dirty sticking all over her body. Not to mention the stinky smell coming from her body.

With that, she decided to clean herself and looked around for food. When she realized something—

That brat!

This body that she had wasn't her original body at all. Not a single feature resembled her unkempt self. Christina thought that because of the eye color and hair she was meant to be this beautiful all along.

But she knew it was a mistake to think so.

It was obvious that this was altogether another body.

Another life.

Another world.

Another...

Christina panicked as she realized another problem.

How could I get out of this forest?! That shitty God!

Ting!

A sound suddenly echoed out of nowhere making Christina jolt in place.

'Ayaya~ Sorry about that little fella. I forgot that you did not have fantasy stuff back on earth. Let me tell you that you could use magic here. This world is called Elkid. You can do any stuff you just read in novels back on earth in the real world. All you need to do is imagine, okay?'

Although she got a moment of heart attack, Christina appreciated that God directly mentioned important information instead of nonsense. Her eyes even sparkled at the mention of magic.

"So, I could just imagine and make it happen?"

'That's right. But here's the catch, you don't have a status screen here. It is prohibited to have godly eyes aka appraisal skill here. It's also a survival of the fittest. You also need to take note of your HP and MP, that's your lifeline. You'll notice your limits anyway so just get used to it. Don't go overboard either, or you'll die—For real."

Did he just threaten me with death just after I died minutes ago?

Christina was dumbfounded at the attitude of this God+0

'And another thing, your current body age is that of 15 years old. There are several things inside [Item Box] you can explore by closing your eyes. You will probably see everything like a library or storage there. I will not be able to talk to you all the time but feel free to call me when you're in need. Have fun~ Bye!'

"W-w-wait!"

You told me to contact you, but you didn't tell me HOW!

Christina endured the indignation.

It's getting darker now. I must get out of this place.

Closing her eyes, Christina opened her [Item Box].

Surprisingly, she saw a huge storage room with all sorts of containers. Christina could roam around like she was there physically. One by one she checked the items.

"Uwaa…"

Some contained a couple of apples and a set of commoner clothing for children. Some shelves were empty. A jar with unlimited engraved had water almost filling it.

A note from the side said it came from the Holy Spring. It's officially called Holy Water.

Seriously?

Christina did not flinch at the word Holy Water but was gratified by the unlimited supply of water. Since she obtained much cleaner water, Christina cleaned herself again and changed into her new clothes.

To get out of the place, Christina had to figure out where she was and if there's a nearby town, she could stay in. A brilliant idea flashed to her mind, making her smirk unnaturally.

Using her imagination and kind of Otaku personality, Christina imagined wings made from the wind on her back. She succeeded on her first try. Delighted at her progress, Christina genuinely felt that life would then be easy afterward.

I could fly!

Excited, she flapped her wings upwards. She scanned the area and saw a town's fortress in the vast forest. It was located straight down north from her direction.

When she tried to fly towards the place, Christina began to feel something strange.

Fatigue started to get over her head but she had to land unscathed. Christina hastily landed despite her disappointment and hesitations.

When she landed, she did not feel safe nor relieved.

She was suffocating on her own. Drowning.

Is this what God was talking about?

While in pain, Christina managed to grasp the timing and immediately opened the [Item Box]. With all the pain, all that she could think of was plunging her face directly at a basin full of the Holy Spring's Holy Water.

Her imaginary self did so and she was saved one way or another. Immediately, effects became apparent at the speed of light. She regained her energy in no time.

It's a mistake.

Christina slumped on the ground disappointed at herself. She did not think that her excitement would make her forget about the words of a certain bratty God the second that he left.

But Christina had no choice either way.

Therefore, she acted as if nothing happened and made another plan.

Christina took another cup of water and decided to use an OP skill she could only read in novels before.

[Teleport]

A skill that could transfer a person from one place to another, given that the caster knew where she was going. Coordinates or accurate images would suffice the requirements to use one.

Since she knew where the town gate was located, Christina could estimate its distance from where she was currently. She expected to at least reach a few steps out of the forest and even gave it a bit of margin for error.

"[Teleport]"

Little spots lit up and glowed as they covered Christina's body. She felt like the world was spinning while she stood at the same place. With no time, Christina's body disappeared from the forest and popped into an unknown land still surrounded by trees.

Christina had no time to assess her surroundings.

But she saw the same wall that she had witnessed from afar.

I did it!

She was about to jump and celebrate when Christina felt her body falling forward towards the ground.

"What…"

The cup of water that she prepared ahead of time also spilled on the ground.

This is bad!

Christina panicked but had no energy to do anything. Her mind was blanking. Her body could not take the toll of the legendary skill.

I could see why they would always put this skill for the OP characters.

Christina noticed a teaspoon full of water lingering inside the cup.

She desperately moved her head to reach the cup.

"Ugh…"

Despite being near the cup, Christina had to use her tongue to lick the insides of the cup where the water was. Christina managed to drink a few drops, but it was not enough to walk.

With her ears plastered on the ground, she could feel the vibrations of someone walking her way. Licking a few more drops, Christina could now use her voice.

Just one shot.

"H-HELP ME!"

Shouting, her shrill, dying voice came out from her. Christina had no time to complain as she was really in a dire moment. Seemingly having heard her plea, the steps became louder as if running hurriedly to her rescue.

Let's hope they're good people.

But when those people finally arrived at her location, she had little energy to spare and retain her consciousness.

Christina had no way to know who they were nor what they look like. It seemed like a guy came to carry her. Only a blurred figure was all she could see.

Someone familiar to her.

But she could not remember.

Who…?
