Chapter 6 - Chapter 5.1| child (2)

A new summer came in this year, though it's usually summer in the Philippines all year. Marga might have the possibility of getting skin cancer for staying too long.

She was ordered by her mother(Dragon) to get groceries in a nearby market. Marga simply implied and didn't argue back, 'cause there's nothing to do at home, just lazing in bed and reading GL love novels. Same teenager stuff.

And also not to anger her.

Marga switched her pajamas. Wearing a plain blue t-shirt, shorts that length at her knees, and typical pilipino tsinelas (A/N: there Flip Flops). Wallet fully ready to be empty in her pockets, and took off to the market.

Her hands are being occupied with listed groceries. The market is full of bustling people, making it harder for them to go in and out. Luckily she survived the stinking hell out of there, or else she'll be stuck with unknown strangers and she'll contain her breath from the bloody smell of fish. Blegh!

Marga happens to pass by in the playground, the playground where she used to play around with her past friends in her middle school, brings such great nostalgia. Marga is a 14 year old high-schooler, and seeing this place reminds her of what she used to be as a toddler; she has so much freedom, unable to care what's happening.

Marga saw a child in the swing. A little girl that is around the same age as his younger brother(8 years).

"Hmmm…" Marga puts the groceries on the stone bench and goes after the chocolate haired girl.

"Hello." Eyes remind her of diamonds that brilliantly shine against the sun that shook her almost over, what a beautiful gem they have, they're must lucky to have a pretty child. "Nasaan ang mga magulang mo?" She tries to have little chitty-chat with the girl, as an older sister, despite his brother being 8 year, his a little menace. Whenever she said something triggering, he'll hurt her part of her body, but in return she hurts him too.

Ugh, is it because he was spoiled too much by father?

"What?" Oh, this kid is english. Kids nowadays speak English here in the Philippines. Instead of trying to speak their mother tongue, one must learn their culture through their language, but it'll be difficult to do that when they reach a certain grade level. There are still kids who can speak Tagalog, unless this kid here is different from her usual peers in school.

"Where's your parents?" Softly asked.

"They're working." Solemnly said. Marga speculated; she hasn't had the chance to have a proper family bond, or the parents didn't really care to think about spending their time with their child? It's common to know that children growing up will not receive enough love that can result in bad decisions. Thankfully Marga learned this from her ESP class and her gentle teacher.

"I see, do you have anyone with you?"

"Only my yaya." Rich kid huh?

"Where is your yaya then?"

"She's buying something."

It isn't a good idea to leave a child in the playground as there are many possibilities of what will happen to the kid. If it comes to a rich family, for example: the possibility of getting a child from a rich family can lead to a threat. Seeing no sight of guards around the area. I have to accompany her for assurance, otherwise predators are gonna take advantage of this child.

"Do you wanna play on the slide? While we're waiting for your yaya." And maybe play with this little girl.

"Okay!" She smiled.

Hours of playing and waiting, the little girl's babysitter finally came.

"Thank you for sparing your time with this child, I'm worried that this child might have bothered you?" Face of disdain shown.

I patted her hand, "It didn't bother me exactly, she's a toddler, someone has to look after, if one is busy with bags and single paper." Filipinos are known to have little knowledge of common language/english, or they haven't gotten the hang of, but the way she speaks English is fluently good. So the kid is definitely a rich kid.

It's just my own perspective to analyze the different worlds we uphold in this present year. Some who live in dirty waters while the other side is greener. Every corner of the Philippines doesn't have a good environment, only rags and rats. At Least this kid is able to have a proper childhood and get spoiled, oh wait… being spoiled just going to lead her to be bratty. God's above, make this child stay pure when she reaches teenage life.

"Well then, I'll take my leave now, paalam!" When I was about to leave them behind to go home so my mother wouldn't scold me further, 'cause I'm running late and it's 3:30pm. I felt someone tugging my pants.

The little kid didn't let me left with the face of an adorable pout. Tears spilling and snot running already, questioning flying above my head.

She Kneeled down to her height. "What's wrong?" Adjusting her voice to soft volume, people kept calling me carabao, since she speaks so loud and controllably became noisy. Even her mother agreed!

"Um… will you come back tomorrow…." Marga sweat, she was planning to spend her time playing online games with her friends for 24 hours. And there's also going to be announcing new updates about the new map!

"Sorry, but I have plans tomorrow kid."

How she regretted saying that.

A long wail of siren came screaming out from her small mouth, and unstoppable tears flowing to the ground, fisting tightly into my clothes; harder for me to leave and go.

The nanny tried tugging her hands off but leeches on my pants. Everything went chaotic.

Oh geez! How should I resolve this quickly again?

Thinking of how Marga will trick the kid, a light bulb pops up.

Marga looks at the nanny, with a face of confused and disdain, "let me handle this tita."
