but they don't know the truth.

As the day wore on, Vera was continuously receiving many thanks and gifts from the tribe. She wasn't sure why, but took them out of kindness and slight confusion. Besides, her merlings really wanted to play with the gifts and try the different meats. There were a plethora of pups socializing with her quad. The four play and laugh the sun away until the night comes. Vera had all ready slept through most of it, and when she awoke, it was Noelani who told her about the riot.

"Tere's so mush uproar tat Alpha cont contain it," she murmurs, throwing a thick band of red fur at the female, "Yuh really won o'er most ev te males."

Vera manages to catch the clothing item before it hits her face and blinks, completely and utterly confused at the Wolvernrian's words.

Noelani inspects a few things in the hollowed out cavern inside the room. The hole is hidden behind the pale skin of an albern, featuring an over abundance of clothing items that have been deemed appropriate to wear around the tribe. The brown eyed beauty sifts through her sister's closet, rampaging the clothes like she owned them. Noelani never had a chance to aid Taliesin with her clothing, since the brunette thought 'with a body like hers, who wouldn't be wowed?' but she failed to realize how many males prefer the solitude of their dens.

Taliesin is only an item to our tribe, Noelani tsks to herself. Her hands find a suitable fur skirt, colored in a deep red from a carthu her radi seared months ago. The blonde huffs, standing with a bright smile. But Vera.. she seems to take after Kaius. Maybe she'll be the first female hunter since radi's kei.

While Noelani ruminates about taking her to meet their kei and keij, Vera gathers herself from a troublesome sleep. Not that she dreamt of demons and death; but rather, she dreamt of figures dancing, teeth clashing, eyes meeting. Had Noelani've come any later and Vera would have bolted from her slumber and gasped awake. Whatever these images were, whatever the Goddess of Water and Mers, Azurel, was trying to tell her, Vera was oblivious to it. No message was clear enough other than the wretched pain aching in her chest. Vera has never encounter such agony, even as she leans over the rock bed of furs.

Noelani doesn't catch any hint of discomfort, mostly because Vera refuses to display her emotions, so she holds out the skirt with a smile. "Fur yuh, dear sistuh!" A charming smile distracts the dazed brunette from her sudden ache.

As shocked as Vera was to see such a dazzling smile, the siren mimics her sibling with smile that could rival Modesa's Lavice. "Many thanks, mei titra." Vera bows her head, smiling. Without waiting for Noelani to leave, Vera unclothes herself to shimmy the skirt on. She inspects the taut fabric, biting her lip to hide a moan from the soft fur adorning her skin.

The blonde stares, not because of the nudity, but because of Vera's words. It was the first time she's ever heard another language apart from any Wolvernrian dialect, and it was quite exciting for her to hear something new. Noelani fidgets in her spot, blinking at the sudden words that sound nothing like their own. She seemed to be too distracted by the new feature of the realms when Vera pulls her out of her reverie.

"Noelani?"

The said female blinks, swallowing the saliva that's caught in her mouth. With purses lips, she asks, "Is, um..." she licks her lips, "what does 'mei titra' mean?"

Vera's wild irises catch Noelani's, and for a straight second, Vera notices their beauty. Bright, woodland cocoas flashed in confusion. Tiny sparks of gold dot her pupils, igniting a curious fire from within. The siren smiles, quite big; She's never had someone so curious ask her something before. Because of Vera's hunting abilities, she wasn't considered to teach, only gather. Her father was more of the Elder type, especially since the quad came along.

So, to have a chance to teach the ways of the Vark Tribe, even if it wasn't to pass on the culture out of importance and honor, the brunette was extremely happy to share her home realm with her sister.

Maybe she'll be willing to trade information? Vera smirks inwardly, hoping to have some leverage against these Wolvernry beasts.

A warm smile graces Vera's features, and the siren takes a step forward to grab her hand. The female doesn't move, inquisitive of her sister's motives, and observes the forefinger tracing symbols into Noelani's palm. Those chocolate eyes with gold flakes of interest meet the forest green pupils intently focusing on the work at hand. When something sharp grazes her skin, the blonde slightly gasps at the clawed forefinger drenched in black ink. Vera's half-sister, who she considers her sister.. her titra, gasps a bit louder this time as the symbols come alive and fly from the skin of her palm. Symbols, pictures, words; They all flow through Noelani's conscious mind, engraving the language of mers into her soul.

Vera was worried it might not work, mostly because no mer has tried it on anyone outside of the merfolk species. She had made the journey of loaded information to her brain as swift and painless as possible, not wanting to dent the all ready growing relationship with her sister. Vera hopes Noelani would be okay with the information scattering her intellect.

The transition is smooth. The siren heaves a sigh while the beastly female grins. Her beautiful eyes flicker to Vera's and tears gather, raining down her cheeks. Noelani gives her titra a giant hug, barely knocking the female off balance.

"Thank you, Vera. Candik neb, mei titra!" She exclaims whole-heartedly.

Vera's flabbergasted by her brazen actions, but nonetheless, wraps the blonde in a tight squeeze. Her chin gently lays on her shoulder while the other female cries out in joy. It's only when Noelani departs from her titra that she notices Vera without her top. She smiles sheepishly, creating space between them. She picks up the top and throws it at the siren's chest.

Vera chuckles, slipping the band over her head and maneuvering the piece of cloth in the right place. Noelani blushes, refusing to look at her until she's finished. The two females walk out of the room with smiles, laughing at a few things Vera explains in her native language. The two don't mind being around each other for the rest of the afternoon, especially when Vera would be observing her children and Noelani's head stuck in a book. The two are contempt with speaking. Vera felt more at ease speaking in her home tongue with Noelani, even if the child couldn't make the perfect sense.

To Vera, it was exactly like having a younger titra.
