Chapter 1 - The Bos

I was having a bad day today. It was raining again, and I hate cold. I will be grumpy and drowsiness will engulf me.

The place I live is a tropical country. With so many sunny and rainy days, unfortunately. I will start my day working at the fish market, not so far away from the beach and sea.

This morning, I started to watch the customers coming buying the fish and other seafoods. After a few customers coming buying at my stall, the wind suddenly blowing the rooftop of the fishmarket. Everyone started to packed their unsold things to bring back under the roof. I felt downhearted, cold and gloomy like the rains that pouring heavily.

I exhaled and said "She will not come today". The girl who has become my regular customer has stole my heart. She is a cute and petite girl, with a smile that is so sweet that makes me think the ants will confused which is sugar, which is her smile. She will talk on a lot of things, and she knows a lot of things that happen around the world. That's what makes me admire her, a beauty with brain. Lisa is her name.

I had prepared to talk with her since last night, the issues of politics in the country, the gossips of artists and singers, as well as the gossips around the fishmarket, such as Pak Ali was heard having a scandal with a woman that made his wife so furious and thrown his things in front of the fishmarket. He had to sleep at the fishmarket for a few days now. Poor him, but everyone knows how he was a pervert which doesn't deserve my sympathy.

As being the Bos at my own stall, I order my one and only staff to keep the fish back in the icebox to keep it fresh. Mat was a good staff, hardworking and always smiling to the customers. That makes my stall famous among the neighbourhood as he can send the fish or seafood to theie house if they cannot come to the fishmarket.

Mat is running to pack the things. I told Mat she will not come. Mat is smiling at me and didnot say a word. He knows the girl is my crush that I still don't have the braveness to confess my feelings to her.

After Mat had packs everything, we stay at the stall under the heavy rains. I yawn a few times, as my drowsiness started to control my brain.

"Mat, I need to take nap...please wake me up when the rain stops". He nodded and I fell into slumber.
