Luck was on Soo-Ah's side this time. By the time she returned home no one had noticed she'd ventured outside the confining walls of the Ho residence. Walking the city streets without a chaperone, was highly unfitting for someone of her rank. Bora should have accompanied her on her outings, but the maid could not be trusted with the sensitive issues she was dealing with. And she would need to violate propriety and venture out alone once more.
The rest of the afternoon went by uneventfully, except for her maidservant who noticed her mistress kept unusually to herself, while her hands and nails did not appear to be dirtied from all the gardening she was supposed to have done.
