High in the mountains of the Libra Nation is the main Citadel, the centralized location of the world council. World Commerce, Banking, Judication and all major political events of a world wide scale are all handled here to make sure everything is fair.
On the far eastern slope of the tallest mountain in the Libra homeland rests the sacred school of the mystical arts, reserved for only those chosen by the gods with he powers of magic to help drive society for the better. In the main courtyard sits a large auditorium reserved for the Guardian selection ceremony for new Guardian inductees accepted into the Guardian Core. Guardians are those individuals chosen to protect an even rarely class, known as Casters. Casters and Guardians are chosen by their gods from all corners of Semsara. Casters are fewer in number because of their abilities, beings with the power of creation at their fingertips, rare ability and highly coveted by every nation, however lacking in the martial combat ways, this is the reason for the Guardians. When a Guardian receives their powers the choice is of their god and is carried out by Devine decree set by each long ago. The requirements set forth by the gods says each selection must exhibit the strength and purity their god sees fit to choose from. Librian guardians are among the rarest of all, a Librian Guardian has not been selected in over 3,000 years…until today.
"Today is a great moment in Librian history. Today we celebrate a Librian selection that has not been present in this school for 3,000 years." Whispers start to mix among the new recruits in anticipation of the announcement, some excited about what's to come, others afraid of the announcement. " Daxom Tyrell of house Tyrell" all eyes looking for someone to stand at the announcing of their name, "Daxom please stand!" The crowd rustling more looking for the one who is suppose to be standing only to find no one is standing.
A Scorpio inductee snickers and mumbles "Maybe the Librian is too good to sit with the rest of us during our induction." "Maybe he is just running late, or couldn't find his way here." The Scorpio student turns to the Leo next to her "What do you mean? There is no way to get lost on a day like today."
Just east of the school is a wide open meadow sparse with trees, plentiful with flowers, tall grass and a winding brook that can be heard clearly during a calm day. Floating above the ground in a clearing near the center of the meadow is a hood figure in white freshly cleaned robes, the sleeves and tails of the robes rustle in the breeze like silk in calm water. Aware of a new presence behind her she listens for a voice, "We're late you know?!" "I know, but I couldn't resist such a beautiful day with such a calming breeze, I just had to come relax before things get hectic." As Ella floats down to her feet she turns around to be met with the handsome face of Daxom Tyrell, "You know once we leave this meadow we wont be alone together until graduation right?" Looking into his eyes, worried about the answer she might hear, " I know, but we are serving the gods, one day they will see how much we feel for each other and they will eat us be together, besides you're the only one I want Ella." Happy with his answer she leaned forward, up on her tip toes and kissed him the last kiss she was going to give him for quite a long time. "We better get going before we miss the whole processional" said Ella. Daxom nodded, kissed her on the forehead and they walked together back to the school, enjoying the view along the way.
A low distant roar in the distance started to become a loud crash of sounds that were only easier to understand once immersed in the crowd. Daxom and Ella parted ways before entering the crowd as to not arouse suspicion. Ella to the left of the crowd with the other Casters and Daxom to the right with the Guardians. "DAXOM!!!" Roared the other 4 voices of his assigned squad, greeting everyone with hand shakes, hugs and salutes, the salutes were just to tease hm about being made squad leader, "Alright everyone knock it off." "Bro you know you were only made squad leader because of your title right?" Shen said jokingly. "Yeah? And you're only here cause your parents bribed the school headmaster." Shen looked at Daxom with a serious expression while everyone else went quiet, then laughter erupted from Shen "HAHAHA YOU'RE RIGHT! HAHAHAHA!!!" The rest of the group joined in relieved they now know it was a joke. Across the other side of the Auditorium Ella found her friends, "Hey Ella!" "Hey Rose!" " You missed the big speech from the headmaster." " I know, but I had something important to take care of." Rose looked seriously at Ella "Meditating in the Meadow is not that important…unless it involved a certain guest of honor." Ella quickly shushed Rose, "Come on you promised you wouldn't say anything while we were at school." "Relax I'm not going to say anything, I think its kinda romantic." Ella looks through the crowd to find Daxom with his friends and a smile came across her face. "See! That's the look I hope to find one day, that no matter what the odds I can find someone who makes me feel like that smile you have." Rose said jealousy, "Don't worry, you will some day. Maybe we will learn how to make it happen rather than having to look for it." Ella said jokingly, "No! I insist on finding that person the old fashioned way, without magic."
"Good luck with that dream, fairy tales don't happen for nerds like you!" A tall slender jet black scaled boy said as he walked by, then Ella and Rose said in a semi repulsed and annoyed tone "Conner." Conner looked at Ella and Rose with a wild disgust before speaking, "Surprising you hacks made it in. They'll let anyone int this school." "Much how you bought your way in to the school with mommy's gold?" Rose said with intended spite. Conner jerked around and glared at Rose with intense fire of hate. "Watch your tongue!" Conner approached Rose, furious at her comment, notably angry he looked into her eyes and Rose began to feel fear. Quietly in Roses' ear Conner whispered "Never speak to me like that again. Dirty Dark Signer." A tear welled up in Roses' eyes while she held back the urge to break down and cry. "That's enough Conner!" Silence fell as a billowing voice from across the courtyard came from Daxom, who could see the distress on Roses' face. " You've overstayed your welcome with these ladies, you should leave." Conner turned around to look on the person he had been longing to see. "Why if it isn't Daxom Tyrell coming to the rescue as always." Daxom walked to Conner to continue a civil conversation, "You've said enough. Go. Now." Conner developed a smile on his face before he spoke "Always the hero huh? I'm gonna enjoy graduation day when I get to pick your team to be my guardians and I can make your life a living hell." "Wishful thinking coming from Scorpio Caster who family bribed the academy council with mommy's gold." Daxom said with a smirk on his face. "How DARE YOU!" Conner whipped his head around as his stinger flew toward Daxom, as he then reached up and grabbed Conners stinger, pulled him toward himself and in one motion Daxom flipped Conner to the ground face down, kneeling down on Conner between the should blades, holding his stinger with Conners head propped up so the crowd of Casters could see the embarrassment on his face.
Suddenly Daxom felt a firm, yet warm, hand on his shoulder. "Daxom." Rang the headmasters voice, "Let him go please." Slightly embarrassed Daxom replied "Yes sir." and let go of Conners stinger, giving him plenty of room to stand and brush himself off. "My apologies headmaster." Daxom said as he bowed slightly to Headmaster Andros Mars, Libra headmaster of the Academy. Conner, however, wasn't so reserved, "When my mother hears about this you'll the first and last Libra to be inducted in this school!" Headmaster Andros starred at Conner intensely, a few seconds later Conners speech and tone had changed, "Fine! But next time you wont have the headmaster to hide behind." Conner stormed off, his stinger hanging low down his back with slight embarrassment. "Making a good first impression I see." The headmaster said in a playful tone. "Reminds me of your father when we were growing up, we use to get in all kinds of trouble." "Have to keep the other students on their toes, especially the Casters sir." A fair and very feminine male Virgo approached the headmaster, leaning toward him he whispered something in his ear that was not auditable to anyone besides the two of them. Andros nodded and returned his attention to the students. "A headmasters work is never finished, please excuse me, Daxom behave please." Daxom nodded in acknowledgement as the headmaster walked away to attend to his business.
"Odd, not much news can make the headmaster mov that fast." Rose jokingly poked at the situation. "The headmasters business is the headmasters business, not ours." Everyone nodded in agreement, Daxom and Ella nodded at each other as if to say "See you later. Kisses." and the two parted ways. The celebration kept going with Casters mingling with other Casters and Guardians mingling with other Guardians. Eventually the conversation winded down and everyone eventually migrated to the great hall where parents were able to have one last meal with their children before giving their final goodbyes to their kids, trusting that they are left in the capable hands of the headmaster and the school. During dinner Daxom seemed to be the only one who was alone, having said his farewells earlier in the day, his family was not able to stay for the celebration.
The night flew by, sectional roars of conversation erupted from time to time through dinner. Families would sing and cry. Goodbyes ranged from short and sweet to long and ugly with the parents crying, especially the moms who were gonna miss their babies. Scorpio and Cancerian parents seemed to be glad to rid themselves of their offspring, even though Scorpio are a bipedal Scorpion who can withstand the harshest conditions. They are very anti social except with their own kind so to see them here is rare and surprising. Cancerians are very similar to the Scorpios but with one difference, they are extremely empathic and can focus on any energy in the room. Also being semi anti social Cancerians can be some of the fiercest combatants, their giant set of claws along with a sent of hands make them ideal for Guadianship and make for dangerous Casters, but deep down you could see the worry in their eyes when leaving their children to their own vises. Aquarian parents tend to act cold deep down but inside are very happy their children are embarking on such an important journey. Appearing as a bipedal version of the fabled Mermaid, the Aquarians one of a few water dwelling who can survive on land away from water. Gemini always has twice the goodbye as they are always born as a set of twins and very rarely are twins selected as individuals. 90% of the time Gemini twins always have one Caster and one Guardian, however this induction we have seen the induction of 2 Gemini Casters, first time in 300 years. The Leo parents always seem to make the biggest deals, seeing everything their child does as the greatest thing in the world. These Bipedal Lions take pride in the spotlight of society, as some of the top celebrities and personalities of the world, Leo's can't help but be seen as Extraordinary. However Aries aren't much different, standing like the Faun, not to be confused with the Satyr, Aries are more head strong and emotionally reactive, they will dive head fist into anything they feel passionate about regardless of how bad of an idea. Now the calmest and most logical of all the races, The Sagittarians, appearing as the Centaur, half man half Horse, are some of the best Archery in Semsara, they are the worlds best Astrologers as well, they are any asset to any team in the Guardian Corp and provide a great advantage to any fight. The Virgo can sometimes be overwhelming to look at, with a silver shine to the skin, they are very logical and systematic, sharing these traits with Libra but with the dedication to perfect their desired path and acquired skill to near perfection. Taurean parent are a little more mellow in their goodbyes being ones of peaceful minds and bodies. They may indulge in the material world, but do so in order to savor every moment of time they have left in the world. Peaceful on the outside and inside, they are known to be some of the best military advisors for their ability to see the bigger picture for the overall outcome of any engagement. To see Capricorns in the world is a treat because, similar to the Dragons of Chinas mythology, the Capricorn's are capable of flight without wings. Also the Capricorn's are able to live in both water and land due to being half Goat and half dolphin, they make some of the best Casters because of their Sage wisdom and Deep ambitions.
I'm sure you are wondering "Why leave the Libra for last and not include them with the explanation of the other air signs." Most Libras love to be creative and love to offer their advise to others, this is why most of the worlds lawyers and artists/designers are Libras. However this particular Libra is very special. Daxom is a very rare breed of Libra called a Cusp, Semsarins born 2 days before or after a sign switch are known to exhibit trait from the signs before or after theirs. In Daxom case he is a Libra/Virgo Cusp which is the suspected reason for his selection as a Guardian, the last Libra cusp inducted to the academy was 7,000 years ago and was a Libra/Scorpio she was one of the greatest known Casters of all time, even wrote a few scrolls about Caster that is still used to this day at the Academy.
Once all the parents had finally left no all goodbyes had been spent, all the students gathered their things and headed to their rooms. All Casters were housed in any Scholars paradise, a giant library with scrolls and books from all over Semsara. All from recent publications to Ancient text, all to help in their education a Caster. The library on the grounds is known as the greatest in Semsara, if you can't find a book here, you wont find it anywhere else. The Barracks for all Guardians was divided into squad houses where each squad would reside while forming their own unique command structure. Each squad was responsible for selecting their own squad leader and would be required to follow their peer decided chain of command. Each squad house was named after historical creatures of Semsara's history. Griffin, Kraken, Dragon, Phoenix, Unicorn, Chimera, and Hydra. Each squad leader was allowed to pick their house and could not change it. Ones house would set the tone for the entire run of their schooling. Everyone always seems to ignore Chimera house as their has been a superstitious rumor that anyone who chooses and graduates Chimera tends to die shortly after graduation. To help turn the stigma around Daxom was the only Guardian squad to choose Chimera house.
"Daxom, are you sure about this? You know the rumors about Chimera house don't you?" Asked Axel. "Yes Axel, I am well aware of the sigma around the house. Just imagine the piece and quiet we will have away from everyone else who will have to fight for space to sleep or bunking with someone you can't stand." After thinking about everything everyone was still uneasy about the decision. "Is isolation really a valid reason for peace and possible death?" whispered Lilith, "It's either that or live under the foot of Conner when we graduate Lil." Lilith started to think about graduation and what Conner would do if he picked their squad, "Besides we will have a sure fire selection on gradation day, don't worry." The newly appointed Chimera squad looked at their squad leader in confusion and surprise, all of them wondering "How does he know we will get picked?" "Alright squad listen up!" Everyone showing attention to the squad leader, "Lets get this Barrack in order, pick your rooms and once you have settled in we will have room inspection no go over our schedule for classes. Dismissed!"
As everyone ran into the barracks to claim their rooms and get settled Daxom wondered is this was really a wise move choosing Chimera house. Daxom heard a voice in the back of his mind, one he had been hearing since his earliest childhood memories, voice he has come to trust over time, "Don't worry about graduation, your squad will be one of the greatest ever because you are leading them." Daxom nodded to himself and proceeded inside to find the squad leaders quarters.
