I wake up from the dreadful noise of my alarm going off, I sigh sluggishly pushing the covers off me.I get up heading into my bathroom, turning on the shower I hop in. The battle scars sting in the steamy water, only if they could just disappear. The showers are my peaceful time, no interruptions just me. I quietly start to hum titanium as the hot water runs off my body.
"Beca Hurry up your going to be late for your first day"
Okay maybe I was wrong there is interruptions. Meet Sarah Mitchell, the annoying woman that I have to call my mom.
"Chill out I'm getting out now", I yell back the frustration in my voice getting through.
I turn off the water and chuck on the usual, black ripped jeans, a black shirt and my favourite leather jacket. I head out of my bathroom grabbing my bag and phone off my desk as I walk out the door to head downstairs. I grab my combat boots and tie up the laces before running out the door flinging my backpack over my shoulder, I hop on my Harley before taking off down the road.
When I arrive the bell is just ringing, of course I'm late. Let's say I don't have the best reputation at school. I head in, going in the direction of my first class, math. As I'm walking through the halls I accidentally bump into someone.
"Fuck sakes, watch where your going" I say through gritted teeth.
Then I stand up and then look at an older looking redhead sitting on the floor, I extend my hand out to help her up. She willingly takes it,
"Sorry about that I'm late to class", as I look up at the woman I can't help but stare, she's beautiful. Her eyes are the brightest thing I've ever seen, I get lost in a gaze just looking at her until she speaks up.
"Don't worry about it", she flashes me a smile before she goes on her way down the hall. 'Who is she?' I think to myself before making my way to my class.
I walk through the door for a blonde lady to look up with a stern look on her face.
"Your late, hurry up a find a seat" her expression says it all, bitch.
I roll my eyes and head for a seat at the back of the classroom, I sit down taking out my books and looking up to see the teacher standing next to my desk.
"No headphones in class Miss Mitchell and don't forget to come to your detention at the end of the day I'll be waiting", her voice is what a mouse would sound like if it could talk, squeaky as fuck.
I roll my eyes again, it hasn't even been five minutes and she already knows who I am, great. Taking my headphones out of my ears, I throw them in my bag.
The hour went that slow I was basically asleep by the end of class. I'm walking down the corridor again heading to my next class, english.
I walk inside the classroom to see a familiar face, it's the redhead I ran into early. A small giggle comes out of my mouth which gets her attention and she's looks up, she's flashes me a small smile before I sit down in a seat at the back.I watch as I couple more students start to head in and fill the classroom, before she gets up and starts introducing herself.
"Hello everyone, I'm Miss Beale and I'll be your english teacher for this year, I hope your all prepared for this year. I would like to start by getting to know you all. I have placed a sheet on your desks and I would like you all to fill them out".
I slowly sink into my chair, not making eye contact with her. As she walks around she walks passed my desk and whispers
"Hey hallway tripper" a small giggle escapes her mouth as she speaks.
"Sup Beale" I reply back kind of with a playful, smart ass tone. A smile comes over her face before she walks back to her desk at the front.
The rest of the day goes quite quick surprisingly except the detention with bitch face aka my math teacher. As I walk out of school I head to the car park and hop on my bike and head down the road in the direction of my house.
Half way to my house I see a car pulled over on the side of the road with a flat tire, I slow down to check it out when I see Miss Beale. I pull over In front of her car creating her to look up, I turn off my bike and kick down the stand while taking off my helmet, placing it on my bike. She starts walking over to me and I hop off.
"Need some help Beale" I sarcastically laugh.
"You don't know how to change a flat tire by any chance now do you?" She asks with a pleading puppy dog eyes.
"Yeah I do, I'll do it for you" I say while walking over to her open trunk, taking out the jack and spare wheel.
I jack up the car and unscrew the bolts of the flat tire before pulling it off, placing it next to me.
I grab the other tire and change it before doing up the bolts before taking the jack away and putting it back in the trunk.
"How do you know how to change a flat?" The redhead questions.
I look up at her and my facial expression drops a touch before I mumble, "My dad taught me before he passed 2 years ago". I look away and get up and walk back to where my bike is.
"I'm sorry I didn't know" her voice goes quiet as she speaks. I can hear her step closer to be from the sound of the gravel moving on the rocky roadway.
I stop and stand In one place before I feel a hand on my arm, I normally flinch when people touch me but with her I just feel safe.
"Are you okay?" Her voice is soft and a little mumbled.
"I'm fine, see you tomorrow Beale" I step out of her grip and walk over to my bike. I quickly put on my helmet before taking off down the road, the fresh breeze taking in the feelings of the pass.
