"What-? I thought you'd be happy to hear this news?" He says dramatically.
"I don't want to see our parents they- never mind. You wouldn't have remembered or believe me." I say solemnly. I walk out of the house, ignoring his 'what- how- and I'd believe you's', and headed in the direction of the bakery where I said I was going before going back to work on his dress.

"He's so irritating! Why does Jason have to be so- so! UGH! Some twin brother he is. Why can't he just let me know what it is!?" With a huff, I let my brother do whatever while I secretly follow him. With a sharp turn, I walk in the direction of where Jason went; keeping distance, I look around at the many shops that were refurnished and have gotten touch-ups, the wooden frames of the buildings. As I look to keep track of Jason, the messy brown-haired twin of mine went into the Odxe bakery. The Odxe bakery has an excellent reputation for being cheap and very delicious.
I keep watch on the door as I enter the library across from the bakery. The smell of books and freshly baked bread enter my sensory senses as I look around to see that bookshelves are on all the walls except for the front where a massive window sits letting an abundance of light enter the room. I walk around the library to find one of my favorite books, The Blue King. One of the many fantasy books I enjoyed reading I picked it up and headed to one of the tables near the front of the glass windows to spy on my brother when he exits the Odex bakery. I slowly pretend to read The Blue King as I anxiously wait for Jason to exit the bakery. After actually reading a few books I look up and around to see that he isn't anywhere. So, I get up from my spot and hand the librarian the books, and head to the bakery myself.
Once at the front of the door, I hesitated to enter. What was I going to say to him, why am I truly following him? Oh! As I just remembered, I follow him so I know he doesn't get into trouble and so Jackson and Nagiem don't bully him. I can't stand those imbeciles. They make such a ruckus! Jackson is so hardcore playing with my brother! He's such a twat! Nagiem is another story.
I swear that girl likes me and is hunting me down. Shivers run down my back as I take hold of the door handle before I have to move out of the way to let them out or in the building. As I enter the smell of pies and homemade food, such as burgers, pasta, soups, and even banana bread as a waiter walks past me with light smoke coming off the loaf of bread.
"Oh- that's freshly made!" Didn't realized I said it aloud my mouth watering at the thought of the food and forgetting about Jason for a few moments.
"Yeah, they always make a fresh loaf just in case!" I tall scrawny guy confirms.
"In case of what?" I say confused.
"In case a customer says they want a fresh one! They say they have a magic oven in the back it's so huge that tons of loaves are produced and kept lightly warm so not to burn the banana bread!" He says lightly. As the more, I look at him the older he gets. His light scruffy gray hair with his young-looking face with a few wrinkles and he's wearing a brown vest with a white t-shirt underneath with yellowish-tan baggy pants.
"Erm. Maybe so. I don't think it's that big! I bet they make a ton of loads after work and rewarm them up the next day." I say taking a seat near the old man.
"Perhaps so, young man. They probably produce a lot in one day but I still stand by my theory! So- what's yer name boy." He grins and leans into the table eager to know the name I was given.
"The names Jamie, sir. Yours?" I say softly.
"Oh -ho. The names Nomie." He chuckles. "I know not the name you'd expect an old geezer like me would be named." He says light-heartedly. I shake my head no curious.
"Where did you get that name, Sir Nomie," I asked.
"Oh, my mother wanted a girl and I came out well a boy." He chuckles again and continues. "She just hoped that she'd finally get a girl. It just didn't happen. Nothing too interesting my boy." He says then a waiter walks next to us and takes our order.
"Wow, so why didn't you change it?" I lean into the table curiously. He 'fixes' his vest and looks at me with a serious face.
"I didn't change it because I didn't want to. I got bullied for it but I wanted to show them that 'Nomie' can be a boy's name as well. I also leave it as Nom but I don't really care what people call me these days I'm old and ready to die." He chuckles full heartily. I look at him with mixed emotions not really comfortable with how this situation is going.
"Maybe. I'm just called Jamie or James nothing special." I sigh with a soft smile and play with the white with light soft flowery design cloth as we wait for our ordered food. After around fourth five minutes our food arrives and I look around and see Jason hanging outside with Jackson. Jackson!? No way that could- I squint my eyes in that direction and see blond hair very muscular man- yep that's Jackson. Gosh if he ever- I pick up my plate and dash out the door. The waitress started chasing me and Nomie was probably shocked at my quick leave and I threw my plate at his face and all eyes were on me.
"Leave my brother alone!!!" I yell and grab into my pocket and I pay the waitress for the plate and the food. I tell a quick sorry and drag my twin back to our house. "What the hell, Jason! Why were you with that scum bag!?" I huff and fold my arms like a kid and lean onto my right hip staring into Jason's soul.
"What!? I should be the one telling you that! What was the plate throwing!? And dragging me back home!? I was fine! He's harmless just an asshole yes. But still! I was going to be fine Jamie!" He huffs his arms straight down his hands in balled fists. "I would have been just. Fine." He storms off Back to his 'lab' probably going to angrily play with his mechanical toys.
