John was, honestly, bored. With his copper hair and stunning golden eyes, he could get anything. Women, beer, gold, absolutely anything.
So when he stumbled across yet another girl, he paid her no mind. At least, until she tapped his shoulder. "Can you help me? I'm looking for a pawn shop." Her voice was like that of an angel's and her looks matched it.
"O-Of course. Follow me." John noticed that the girl paid his looks almost no attention at all, not caring whatsoever. Either she's been around too many pretty boys, or she was simply immune to his charms. Either way, John knew he needed to know more about this girl. "What's your name?"
"Elina."
"What a pretty name." He smiled and led her into the shop. "Here we are..." He trailed off, noticing the ring that she wore. "Hey... Where'd you get that?"
"Hm?" The girl glanced behind her, then where he was looking. "Ah. I got from an old friend."
"I see..."
An old friend? John had given one just like that to a friend of his, one who he loved. Her name was different, she said it was Elinthya. But her eyes, the hair; this girl was probably the same as the one from so long ago.
"Did you ever meet a James?" That was the name he had given her, not wanting her to go after his money. He had genuinely liked her, not just wanting her body like he did the others. By the surprise that flickered into her eyes, this girl really was Elinthya. "I missed you Elinthya."
"J-James?"
"The one and only." John chuckled. "So which is your real name? Elina, or Elinthya?"
"Elina." She smiled. "Do you still have the..?"
"I do." He pulled out the chain necklace he wore, revealing the match of her ring, an exact copy. John had to pay extra, but the craftsman who made the rings made sure they were the exact same. "So what now? Do we-" The rest of whatever he might have said was cut off by her kissing him.
