Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 - A New Friend

The bus had arrived at the station and parked. Grabbing their luggage both Laz and Simon left the cafe and walked onto the bus. As they entered they were handed 5 small clear coins in a plastic bag, with instructions. They sat in the same seat and read the instructions that came with the coins.

Instructions:

Place coin on the item you'd like to be stored. To store an item place a coin on top and hold it down with one finger, the item with eventually be sucked into the coin. To release a stored item from a coin simply place it on stable ground, tap with one finger and back up. The item will appear above the coin.

(Please keep coins stored in a small inclosed bag)

The instructions seemed easy enough. Laz removed a coin from the bag and placed it on his suitcase. Holding down with one finger Laz watched as his suitcase slowly disappeared. In astonishment, Simon took a coin from his bag and placed it on a gym bag. The gym disappeared quicker than the suitcase. Simon placed another coin on his suitcase and watched as it slowly disappeared at the same speed Laz's suitcase did. Placing the last pin on their luggage all the luggage the boys had before we're now in coins. Laz put his bag of coins into a deep pocket on his light brown cardigan.

More children began to enter the bus and store their luggage, as most of the kids got seated the intercom on the front of the bus came on.

"Good morning future students of Black Crow! Hope you're having a beautiful morning so far, I'll be your bus driver to Black Crow this morning! Name's Ms. Cran but you can me Ms. C."

The bus driver sure had a lot of energy. The engine started up and the bus left the station. Driving through town the bus eventually made it to the open road. Looking out the window all Laz could see was an assortment of trees and small patches of green grass and flower fields. The farther the bus went the more trees and brush that could be seen. The bark of the trees was a dark chocolate brown with deep green leaves that covered the sun. Causing the natural in the bus to flicker about. Although the sun was hot the bus air felt cool through the open windows. The leaves covered everything you could see nothing but the asphalt road ahead.

Simon looked out the window seeing the hundreds of trees as they drove. Laz had his eyes close he was not interested in looking at the assortment of the dark chocolate trees.

There was light chatting on the bus, all the children seemed rather tired. No one was as energetic as Simon who was still staring out the window. There was a long road ahead of them before they got to school. Most might as well relax till they got there.
