Chapter 15 - Rebirth (3) - Reunion

"I guess it is time to take the trash out..." I said while looking at the bandit.

He looked perplexed by my confidence but didn't stop his attack.

Fake father was also surprised but decided not to say anything and simply observed.

The reason a non-confrontational person like me wanted to deal with the bandit wasn't that he had offended me or my father previously.

Sure, during my last moments, I had realized the fault of my priestly ways and that the world never responds kindly to kindness, but today it was different.

I was angry because of the bone necklace around the bandit's neck that looked oddly similar to the ones that made me Army's enemy in my last life.

Tied together by a small thread that was coloured crimson, there were numerous small bones hanging on his necklace.

'How many children did you kill to make that necklace!!'

The necklace was made up of children's collar bones and it reminded me of the cannibals I had come across on Earth.

They were ruthless 'Tantrik' pretenders that went around kidnapping children and sacrificing them to their disgusting God.

The necklace and the imagined torture of countless children were already making my stomach churn in anger, but the bandit's excited face made it worse. As he probably thought about the pleasures of murdering me, his face turned into a perverted grin that was hideous, to say the least.

However, before his short sword could reach two feet near my neck, my arm was already covered in Prana. It was an advanced technique called [Bare Shastra] that I had learned on Earth.

Although my mastery was short of any comparison to the polished art of Hound or the Param Guru, it was still a prized legacy I had inherited from my Guru and uncle Mark.

Covering my arm with Prana and changing its constitution to steel, my hands immediately became like a steel swords.

Compared to my hands, the bandit's iron sword was like a paper toy. Although, I was not aiming for his sword as I too plunged in his direction.

(*Katchak... splurt*)

The blood veins that had just been detached from the network on his body spit blood like a fountain.

"AAAAAHHHH!!!!!"

He screamed but I couldn't feel any remorse. To me, he was just an already dead animal in a slaughterhouse. He had to be maimed and butchered, even then it would be going easy on him.

I let him reconcile with the pain before turning up with another slash of my sword.

(*Katchak....*)

"Ugh!! AAAHH!! OOoon! *glurg*"

"You even cry like a dog!! YoU FUCK*NG PIECE OF TRASH!!!", my anger was taking over me.

All the pent up anger from being imprisoned for 20 years came out with my sword slashes. It was a cannibal tribe similar to these bandits that the military had used to capture me alive.

(*click*)

Every time I heard the clack of the small bones hanging from his neck, I heard my anger reach even greater heights.

"HOW MANY DID YOU KILL!!!! ANSWER ME!!!!", I shouted with a roar.

The voice was so loud that even an actual lion's roar might have been a kitten's meow in comparison.

(*zing*)

The Aura blade in my hand was still vibrating as if it wanted more. My thoughts influenced my Aura and the blade thirsted for the torture of the half-dead bandit on the ground.

(*Cling...*)

"What... are... you... doing...?", I stared intensely at the eyes that had just popped out of nowhere from behind me and spoke quietly.

It was another bandit trying to sneak an attack on me after his friend fail to kill me.

I had already seen his movements when he disappeared from the group and appeared near me. He seemed to be using some kind of concealment technique that surprised everyone in the hospital as none of them saw him approaching me.

"How... How did you?", he stuttered trying to reason with the fact that his attack was seen through by a mere 15-year-old.

To the [Third Eye] that could see the truth of the world, a mere concealment technique was lesser than child play. The only reason why I had failed while fighting Hound was that I was in the body of a 100-year-old and Earth didn't have much Prana for me to completely make use of my powers at the time.

None of which were applicable to me in Mahismati for some reason. If it was like the previous "Hell", that would also make sense because that was a place where I had created matter out of nothing.

"Leave...", I spoke slowly for the bandit to hear each syllable.

(*cling*)

Another attack came from behind.

"Two sneak attacks in a row against a 15-year-old. I guess that's why you couldn't even defeat a puppy."

"What!? What did you say?"

The strongest of the 5 bandits spoke up with surprise. "How did you know that? SPEAK!!!"

(*woosh...*)

I swung my arm sideways with enough speed to spray away all the lingering blood on my Aura blade.

"Tch! Disgusting Pig!!"

"Oye, Answer me!! How did you know about 'that'", the bandit-leader shouted from afar.

I ignored his plea and walked straight towards the armless bandit lying on the ground. He had already pissed his pants and was lying face down in a mixture of piss and blood.

"You don't need to know that!", I spoke silently.

However, the quiet atmosphere made my sound clearly audible to all the fifty or so people in the hallway.

"What!", the leader of the bandits acted as if he had misheard. His ears refused to believe that something like this was happening.

As I walked down towards the body of the first bandit, nobody dared to even gulp the spit stuck in their throats in the fear of missing what was happening.

"Although, you deserve even worse retribution than death. I do not have the means right now, so I'll end your life. Be grateful that you got the easy way out!"

"Did you not hear! Do not touch my men or I'll personally deal with you."

I heard him loud and clear.

How couldn't I?

His was the only voice that was echoing in the hall of an otherwise silent hospital.

(*Phit...*)

The aura blade entered and penetrated the heart of the dying bandit without a hiccup.

"Uh-Shanti!!"

[ A.N:- Shanti means RIP. Uh-Shanti is just the opposite. ]

Although I was no upstanding samaritan, I felt relieved after punishing the disgusting Evil.

If someone were to draw a face representing my life, it would be a face of indifference.

My life which I lived thinking I was following Buddha's teaching of letting go of suffering was just a facade to keep myself away from being entangled with Earthly affairs.

However, I was given a new chance.

I knew not whether this Hell will also continue for another 100 years before I woke up from yet another timelapse, but even if it was, I didn't want to live the same life.

I forgot about vengeance for my parents' and teacher's murder, I ignored Bharat's constant misuse of power to conduct inhumane experiments, but no more.

"You are dead now!!", their leader shouted.

"Tch!", I was annoyed that a minor thug was disturbing my thoughts so much.

"Why are all of you small villains the same?"

"What next? Shall I tell you how I know about your fight with a wolf beast so that you would go easy on me? Hahaha", I laughed while covering my face. It was a facepalm.

My every action was a mockery of the cliches in countless stories and novels I head read on Earth, but to the unsuspecting villain, it was as if I was reading his mind.

"If you know already then tell me, how did you find out about that?"

"Well! Ask them if you want.", I pointed my finger towards the open door.

There was no one at the door; yet.

"Do not think you will get out of here using such simple tricks. Today I'll skin out all the secrets from your body.", he shouted.

[*raises hand with stop sign*]

"Wait!"

"You had your chance." The leader said with confidence.

"Do you want me to kill another one before you enter?"

My voice was directed not towards the approaching bandit but towards the exit at which I had pointed earlier.

"How did you know we were here?"

A man I thought I wouldn't see entered through the hospital gates.

"Bhondu!?", I couldn't believe I was meeting the "idiot" again like this.

[ A.N: 'Bhondu' means stupid. It can be used as a name and can be both cute and insulting based on the way it is spoken. It's Baka in 'Hindi'. ]
