Yulis took out both knife and the remaining broken farm tool and began to melt them on the forge, the blacksmith watched in fascination while yulis began to mold a short blade, although she couldn't destroy the product she could still make a failed product which she could still try and reforge but it will diminish its maximum durability and would perform slightly lower then average.
Every once and a while yulis would take a break and eat apples and bread, and finally yulis completed a finished product, thankfully.
Tier 0 Unnamed sword
Rarity : common
Atk: 8-10
Sharp: 3
Atk Spd: normal
Quality: Crooked, attack will have higher chances to miss
Durability : 10/16
Description : a short, crooked blade that was crafted from old farm tools by a novice blacksmith, but due to using 2 small knives that was forged early on the durability was reduced.
[Congratulations! you have created a basic blade blueprint! please name your creation]
Yulis was stunned, she was expecting a failed product, even if its a failed product, she could still use it until reaching a town, she never expected to easily create her own blueprint, usually creating a basic blue print would take time, players had to reach at least journeyman in their subclass in order to make one.
Subclasses have tiers that separates them. First there's the novice tier, a beginner in their craft. Next is the apprentice, somewhat skilled but should be able to produce a proper product, but they're usually used as helpers by higher ranked players. Next would be journeyman, someone who is dependable and can make actual product used by soldiers. Next would be Veteran craftsmen, someone who is regarded as an elite and is usually found crafting weapons for the lords presonal armies. Next is the master, and is regarded as a national treasure, they are found crafting weapons for the king himself. And finally the Grandmaster, there's usually one or two grandmasters present in one continent.
Yulis typed a series of words into the blueprint before receiving the rewards for making her own original blueprint. The blade looked like an ugly, longer version of a tanto, the only difference was that the blade is crooked and not as straight as an actual blade, if yulis was a bit experienced in blacksmithing then maybe the blade could be a little bit straighter, it was even a miracle that it didn't outright failed.
Tier 0 [Y-1 Tanto prototype]
Since its my own creation i could easily tweak it and strengthen it by making variants or upgrading it, players could only use their own creations when trying to create variants or upgrades, even if the player is in possession of a copy of the product they can't, even if it looks the same as the original it's attributes won't be the same, the system will simply label it as a failed product or an imitation product.
The only for a player to craft someone else's creation is through blueprints, but that's it, no upgrades and no variants.
Players can't simply look at a sword and make a copy of it, even if they're extremely skilled, all they could ever produce are imitations where the outside image looked almost the same but the attributes are different, even the most expensive materials couldn't do anything to solve it.
"impressive! you have actually made your own blueprint! you make me proud to be your teacher! you must be a talented blacksmith just like me! hahahaha!" the blacksmith bursts into laughter while holding his stomach.
Yulis awkwardly chuckled along, and before she could say a word the blacksmith shoved something in her hands.
[obtained crested dagger blueprint]
[obtained whistling arrow blueprint]
" these are?" yulis was confused at the rewards she suddenly received.
"those are a copy of my blueprints that i have designed back in my novice days, take it, you have surprised me and surpassed my expectations!"
A hidden quest? no, maybe a reward for creating the blueprints in front of him maybe?! is it from this village only or is it present in all of the villages... in my previous life, all villages should have similar quests like the one that i did. It's quite popular actually, it's where you could easily get the five subclasses of blacksmith, baker, farmer, cook, and tailor. A village should atleast have 2 to 5 of these subclass quest present, Yulis already have baking, tailoring and smithing as her basic subclasses.
In the earlier stages of the game, it's quite hard to obtain subclasses, even more so for rarer type of main class. The smithing subclasses is among the common classes, all main class and subclasses have their own tiers. The common, rare, epic and legendary.
The players didn't know how to interact with the npcs in order to trigger quests until all the mainstream players have reached level 90, so only a few players have completed the village sublass quest earlier, knowledge of the village subclass quest was released when mainstream players have reached level 40.
After waving good bye to the blacksmith, yulis exited the village and made her way towards the nearest town the villagers pointed out, Creek Town, based on the name, the town is surrounded by a lot of creeks.
Based on her memory creek town is part of the Baron Gillberham's fiefdom, and Baron Gillberham is a noble from Contesia Kingdom, the Contesia Kingdom is located at the eastern part of the largest continent located at the center of the Globe.
On her previous life, she also spawned at the Contesia Kingdom, the only difference is the fiefdom.
Yulis walked in the pathway marked by wheels and horse hooves from carriages, every once and a while, slimes would appear but yulis made quick work of them. Yulis was wary of the forest that surrounds the path, what she's afraid of are the woodland wolves that usually roam around, the only saving grace is that they rarely travel in groups and when they hunt they hunt in packs in their own territories, the pathway should be off limits for a pack since they know they'll be hunted.
While walking the nearby shrubs suddenly shooked alerting yulis.
Yulis unsheathed her blade and prepared for an attack, not one second later a wolf with brown fur jumped out of the shrub and charged towards yulis.
Yulis bent her knees and intercepted the wolf's front claws with her blade before pulling her blade sideways causing her interface log to register the damage caused to the wolf.

The wolf yelped as it was repelled, it landed on the ground on it's back but it instantly rolled and got back on its feet, it growled before jumping and launching another strike, yulis again bent her knees and parried the attack while constantly dealing damage, if her blade was any shorter, she wouldn't have been able to deal any damage.
The reason why yulis insisted on a longer blade is to deal with the wolves on the path, her knives simply wouldn't do.
The wolf finally died after the eighth strike, yulis continued to march forward while dealing with the wolves that kept on appearing once in a while.
Creek town, the was sun setting on the horizon and the guards were lighting up torches by the gate when a hooded person came into view, slowly walking at the side of the road. After exiting the forest, the quality of the road changed from carriage tracks to flattened dirt road. In the distance a small town surrounded by stone walls could be seen.
The guards spotted the person from quite a distance from their tall tower, once the person finally reached the gate the guards on the gate spoke.
"traveller, where did you come from and what is your purpose here?"
"i have come from the village called gallos, my parents were farmers but one day they suddenly fell ill, i wish to work here in order to earn money and send medicines to my sick parents in order to cure their illness" yulis began her story while acting like a dumb village girl.
The guards nodded and opened the gates.
"very well young traveller but remove your mask first, we must make sure you aren't some wanted criminal" the guard gestured yulis to come closer.
"tanor! bring the wanted posters here!" another guard shouted.
moments later another guard came out with a stack of papers and the group of guards began to inspect the posters and yulis's face.
"okay! your free to go!" the guards said after making sure yulis doesn't have any resemblance to the various wanted criminals.
The moment yulis entered the town a loud mechanical female voice boomed from the sky.
[Contesia Kingdom system announcement, Congratulations to Black Lotus for being the first player to discover a Town]
[Rewarding Town reputation and gold coin x1]
Players couldn't deal with the fast moving brown woodland wolves, plus the maximum player party is capped at 4 players only. When players tried moving in a group, larger numbers of monsters would appear and wipe them out, thus they concluded that the system placed the wolves for their training.
Any player who is unable to deal with the wolves, wouldn't be able to deal with the other monsters ahead. The minimum requirement is the four player cap of the party, any more than that and a pack of wolves would appear, they also concluded that the more players they bring the larger the wolf pack that would appear.
So the moment the announcement ended the players from Contesia Kingdom that are currently farming are stunned, currently the highest level player present in Contesia Kingdom is the guild leader of the publicly recognised 3rd rate guild Crimson Skull, Kleidth, who is currently level 5. Next is the Guild leader of another publicly recognised 3rd rate guild Gilded Rose, Argent, who is also level 5.
Those 2 are the players who have the highest chance of entering a town, but then an unknown player suddenly appeared and took the first place.
When the players first started playing the game, they were strucked by the extremely realistic game mechanics, unlike any other game that limits their actions, the game was completely free.
This caused many guilds to hire people with actual fighting experience, professional fighters, martial artists, even go as far as to take their own security guards into action, unfortunately those fighters aren't used to their new bodies, plus they're basically level zero, so they had be leveled up until they matched mainstream player level, next is that they have to battle wolves instead of humans, most of them are trained to go against humans not wild animals.
All those obstacles hindered their progress to a crawl but they're 3rd rate guild for a reason, however before they could even see the town that they were looking for someone already entered a town before they could and took the rewards for themselves, now even if they find and enter a town they'll probably be marked as second which is pretty much less exciting as the first player to ever find and enter a town.
This drove the two guilds to a sprint, they couldn't let the other one take the second place or else they'd be left with a measly third place.
Yulis walked on the streets lit by rocks that is seemingly on fire, all of them were held by wooden poles.
She arrived at an inn before logging out. When she woke up and went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast, she noticed something weird while putting on her apron. It's currently dark outside, looking at the wall clock she found that the time is currently 11 in the night, confused she tried to recall anything related to what's currently happening only to remember something.
"ah silly me." she slapped herself in the forehead before ripping the apron off her and returning to her room.
When the official launch of the game, the time was 00:01 and the in game time when the players spawned would be around 12:00 and at 06:00 the game closed forcing all players out of the game, the first day acted as a test run, at the second day which is now the game adjusted the time so that once it opens the 1 real hour to 3 in game hours begins 00:00 to 08:00 would equate to 24 in game hours, meaning the game can now run indefinitely without interruptions unless there's any updates, 1 day in real world is now 3 days in game.
Players around the world have different time zones so they had to follow the time that was set by the developers, for example yulis had to log in at around 22:00 or so, players on the other side of the planet would have to log in at around 09:00 if they want to participate in the grand opening of the game.
The developers also managed to find a way for players to communicate outside even with the time difference, only slight issue would be the time lag which is slightly negligible.
Yulis logged back in, and finally entered an inn to rest, her avatar sitting in a room lit by small glowing stones embedded on the ceiling. while resting yulis brought out her tanto prototype blue print and began to make upgrades on it.
By the time she's finished resting, she also finished her upgrades. She went out and entered the blacksmith building and rented a workshop, the building also sell materials to use but they're limited and quite expensive so yulis only used around 25 silver coins to buy cheap materials and the remaining 25 silver coins to rent the workshop.
[obtained small iron ore x4]
[obtained mozts wood x2]
[obtained firewood x16]
Yulis halved her 1 gold coin that she received and started to smelt the iron ore on the furnace.
[obtained pig iron x9]
[learned basic metal refining]
Yulis already knew the basic steps, she simply recalled the journeyman blacksmith's on her guild and mimicked them.
Next yulis brought out her blue prints and began hammering, finally four blades appeared on her hands. Using the mozts wood as her handle she finished 4 fine looking tanto, once she inspected them however.

Yulis beheld the blades, yulis chose the last two blades as her main weapons while placing the remaining two on her inventory, she then took the last remaining pig iron to upgrade her previous blade and kept it aswell. She's planning to place it in the auction house when players have discovered and entered the town. All the auction houses of towns and cities of the Contesia Kingdom is connected so she isn't worried of failing to sell her blades.
