The sunlight created some colorful, hexagonal flares to various sides, rendering the unfocused areas into the foreground and background bokeh. A glistening droplet of melted snow rolled down the tree branch and crashed to the ground.
"You're back?"
Marvel opened his eyes and rubbed them slowly as he asked me, seeing me standing by the car door. The seat where he was sitting was slightly slanted backward. When I came back, he was sleeping there, crossing his arms against his chest to envelope his own body for warmth, and awakened by the noise I made when I pulled the door from the outside.
He let me have some personal time with Charles in the graveyard, and I just returned after exactly an hour under this weather with red, swollen eyes.
"Go get in. You must be freezing," continued Marvel. Seeing me quiet, he held my ungloved hand to relieve the coldness, although it didn't work because his hands were just as cold. "Come here. I'll make you warm."
