I flinched in surprise when the door behind me slammed shut with a bam. The noise resonated softly and faintly echoed before disappearing into thin air around me. I opened my eyes and blinked. White, my surroundings were.
I was in an empty room, all white, my vision trying to adjust to the dazzling light. As I was lying down on the floor, I couldn't tell where it exactly was, but I somehow knew I was inside a wide space alone when I heard a certain voice calling out my name in the distance.
I'm sure this is the first time for me to be here, but I feel as if I've been sleeping in this place for so long…
I guess this is how it feels like to be dead. But, do people normally have a clue if they die?
I once again explored my surroundings but it was the same as before. The place was calming, but I felt kind of lonely.
