"What makes you think you're still allowed to step into this house after all that you- Hey, are you ignoring me?"
Tanaka hissed in irritation, grabbing my shoulder as I walked past him up the stairs in the parlor.
Though the dawn had started to disperse, the sky was still dark with a span of faint orange. I came back to the mansion before any activity began with the intention to minimize troublesome encounters as I wasn't in the mood to start a fuss with anybody. As ironic as things could be, a certain person just had to try me first thing in the morning.
"Let go of me," I said flatly, my eyes fixed on the floor instead of another speaker beside me.
With no emotions laced in my words, I lowered my voice so as not to be heard by others. However, Tanaka's temper was as thin as paper.
"What did you say?" He pulled my shoulder and forced me to look into his seething eyes. "I guess one mere punch wasn't enough to teach you a lesson."
