"Speak up!" The girl shouted, her face suddenly becoming red with anger.
Beth took a step back as a reaction to the sudden burst of anger. That was unpleasant, she thought, licking her lips. The servant's brows raised in irritation. It was quite obvious to Beth that the girl in front of her was not to be trifled with if she wanted to have a peaceful life in this mansion. She spoke and stood with an air of authority which only meant that she carried some power with her.
Deciding to not take any chances, Beth spoke up.
"Umm, yes. I am One-twenty-three." She replied awkwardly.
At that, the girl relaxed. She nodded her head in acknowledgment. "Good. I am One-ninety-five. The head of servants in this mansion." She said, looking at her sternly. "You may only address me as matron or madam."
"Yes, madam," Beth replied quickly.
