For the second time in a short while, Gabe found himself waking up in an unfamiliar room.
Instead of the white illuminating walls he woke up to the first time, this time he found himself in a run down one bedroom apartment.
Walking into the bathroom and looking at his reflection in the mirror he could see what he looked like. He was handsome.
Very handsome.
So handsome that he almost looked like one of those models he would see in the magazines back in his old world.
His face wasn't the only thing that looked different from his past self. His muscles had a definite and toned shaped, giving him the appearance of an athlete.
He looked like he couldn't he any older then twenty, but he wasn't sure.
Gabe couldn't help but stare at himself in surprise and amazement. In his old body he had developed a dad bod. All the years of working on a desk and eating fast food during his break resulted in him slowly gaining wait and loosing that young toned body he was so proud of in his younger days.
Now it almost looked like time had gone back and he had reverted to his peak physical self from his younger days.
"eh..how long are you going to continue drooling over yourself?"
A synthetic voice suddenly broke Gane from his self assessment.
Gabe turned around looking everywhere for the sound of the voice.
He was half expecting to find someone standing behind him, possibly entering the room without his knowing while he was paying attention to his new body.
With a quick scan there was no one else in the apartment.
"Hello? Whose there?" Gabe called out to the empty room, half thinking that he was going crazy.
"Hello."
Once again the synthetic voice rang out.
"Where are you?"
Gabe could hear the voice but couldn't tell where it was coming from.
"I am inside your head. Nice to meet ya." The synthetic voice responded.
"Do you have a name? What are you?" Gabe continued.
"I don't have a name. I am the system granted to you by the overseer called Alpha." The synthetic voice replied.
"System?"
"Yes! I am the system called the Admiral System. I am here to assist you in developing correctly so that you can become the savoir of humanity and this universe!"
Gabe couldn't help but stare into the empty room. He recalled the conversation he had with Alpha and how he said that he would grant him a system to help him.
With everything that has already happened, such as him dying yet not dying, talking to a being calling itself god, being transported to another universe and having a new body, you would think Gabe wouldn't be surprised by this system, and yet here he is frozen still, trying to process this new development.
"Ok System. Show me what you can do!"
Various screen windows appeared in Gabe's vision. An inventory window that showed all his current items he held on, which included $34 and a pack of gum.
He was broke.
Other then inventory window, there was also a shop screen, where various interesting and fantastical items were on display. When Gabe tried to purchase one of the items the word declined would show up, preventing him from purchasing it.
"You have to have the necessary admiration points to purchase items from the item shop" the synthetic voice spoke.
"How do I get those points? Gabe asked while looking through the other windows.
"There are many ways you can get those points. Completing missions that I the system provides you, performing heroic deeds, and gaining the admiration of your followers."
Right at that moment, a new window popped up in front of Gabe's vision.

What do all the great admirals throughout history have in common? They have dedicated and loyal followers willing to face even the depths of hell along side their admiral.

Gabe stared at the window in amazement. His first mission provided by the system and he had no idea how to complete it.
Just how exactly is he suppose to have someone pledge their loyalty to him? Other then his looks, he currently has nothing.
Sighing, Gabe mentally closed the window and got ready to walk out the apartment.
As the saying goes, you never know how far you can go without taking the first step forward.
With that final though, Gabe put his old looking sneakers on and walked out the rundown apartment, but what greeted his sight next left him speechless.
Outside the apartment the scenery was like that of a science fiction movie. The buildings all metallic and slick, with vehicles without any tires, floating inches off the ground, speeding past.
He had forgotten that the universe that he was now in had a much more technologically advanced human species. With the way his apartment looked, it had slipped his mind since there was no super advanced item in his apartment.
As he was about to leave the system spoke to him again.
"Hey before you leave don't you want to open up your newbie reward chest?"
With a puzzled look Gabe mentally opened his inventory and saw that there was a small chest in his inventory icon.
Clicking on it revealed that it was indeed called the Newbie Reward Chest.

1 New Title
Looking in his inventory again he saw the three items inside. He also saw that on the top right hand corner his Points count showed 500.
Clicking on the skill book a new prompt appeared.
[Skill Obtained: Mercenary King]
His head started to pound with pain as visions, memories, experiences that were not his were absorbed into his brain. Years of experience was put into his mind. He felt lighter.om his feet, his body tightening and loosening up.
He felt like he had full control of every muscle in his body, feeling as if he could dominate anyone and anything that stood in his way.
With that Gabe was ready to take on this new world.
