Chapter 2 - "Disappear act"

Who would've thought me and him would become coworkers

After we had our first engagement I was eager for more to get a chance to know him more. One night I asked him were they hiring and he said yea the manager was inside right now waiting on me. I went inside to ask the manager for a job and she gave me instructions on how to apply there and gave me her number to call her whenever I was done. After some time I was officially hired, I was so excited to finally hear good news on getting a job, knowing it was a step closer to getting my life back on track. After that I stop seeing him for a couple of nights, I was confused on what happened to him until I finally decided to ask a coworker of his and found out he was in jail. After I had found that out I was so devasted not knowing when I would see him again and even asked his coworker about information of his location so I could go visit him but she never told me so I left it alone. I eventually started my first day at Waffle house as a grill operator and it was a great experience. Cooking is a hobby of mines anyways so I felt the position was perfect for me and got really connected with the coworkers; I just loved the atmosphere. My first week was successful, I had gotten alot of compliments on my food and my work ethic so it made me feel good about the position. The second week of work I came in from being off work for a couple of days and it was him. I had to double take cause I thought I had seen a ghost for a second. I went straight to the bathroom to get myself together mentally and physically cause during that time I was taking wash ups in the sink due to me living in my truck and not having a shower. I felt so overwhelmed seeing him again, like I was happy that he was back and I could finally get a chance to get to know him more. As I was getting ready to clock into work he was leaving. Curious to know what happened to him I spoke and ask where he been at and he told me he had to go to jail for missing a probationary class.
