Elera P.O.V.
A year later after the invasion of my uncle, I laid in bed drenched in sweat. I could feel my heavy breathing and the tears that fell from my eyes. I remember dreaming about my dad. In my dream, I was five years old. I dreamt about my father and how he would carry me on his shoulders while running around in circles. He had the most guffy expression on his face. It was funny seeing him joyful and playful. He called me his little pup. I remember that on my birthday he would always prank me and laugh it out when he saw my pouting face. On all Christmas, I remember how he would dress like an old man in leather and call himself Santa and I of course recognized him imminently and started laughing. " You look, silly dad," I said while laughing. When my mom got angry at me my dad would always come to my rescue and when the storm had passed he would wink at me. "Elera time for bed." He would always say when it was bedtime. He would tuck me into bed and tell me the story of the lonely goddess. The goddess unfairly lived lonely. She lived in a small town in the God realm. She had been courted by many men, but none could win her heart. It wasn't until she met him. The god of all war. He was the most perfect person for her. Sadly the men went away and she stayed lonely. She couldn't endure her loneliness and decided to create children since she could never be fated to anyone. " Poor goddess. Why does she have to live like that papa?" I remember asking him.He simply smiled and said, " the reason is because she wanted children like you and me. Beings that could be happy and cared for by her. Since she is lonely she always wanted to make us with our fated one. When your older I'll tell you the next part of the story. I love you little pup. Now close your eyes and sleep." He said while kissing my forehead. I remember clearly my seventh birthday when my dad took me to a beautiful beach for the first time. The beach was located in the outskirts of the kingdom. It was a place known as a safe zone. It was known as a safe zone because no kingdom owned it. I remember hiding behind a huge rock since my dad wanted to bury me under the sand. I ran like crazy and bumped into this boy. He had black hair and his eyes were soft brown. All I remember is his mother calling him. " Shane it's time to head back!" She said while packing their basket back up. " I am sorry. I didn't mean bumping into you." I said apologizing. He simply pats my head and smiles. He runs off to his mother and he seemed to be older but he left a strong impression on me. I remember blushing. Probably someday I'll see him again. I remember running back to my dad and asking him if he could make me a sandwich. " Daddy will you make me a sandwich?" I said. " Yes, pup I'll make you your sandwich." He said while grabbing the buns and putting Mayo, ham with lettuce, ketchup and mustard. It was a good sandwich. That just the memory makes my mouth watery. All I can remember we're my parents always loving each other. I remember my father always made me happy. When he was too busy to play he would take me to work with him. While he worked I read past reports and revised them. I would always ask about them but my dad would always tell me that in this world you could find good, but you will certainly find bad more often. I didn't know if what he said was true or not, but I certainly knew I was safe with my most precious parents. His advice sadly became a reality. In that hectic attack, I saw my father die. I was in shock for about a week. I couldn't eat or sleep. If I fell asleep I would wake Emma and everyone in the house with my sudden screams. I had nightmares always the same dream. I always dreamt of my father falling out of the big window. Now I feel like I'll never be able to forgive the person who took him away from me. My precious father Maximus with all his love he gave everything for me and my mother. I miss him so much. I miss his smile and his joyful expressions. I drifted to sleep while remembering my father and those nightmares that hunted me after his death. I hugged his only picture I could get from home. I hugged it tightly and whispered I love you father. Thank you for everything.
Note: Happy Fathers day! Have a fantastic day with your fathers. Thank you for reading.
