The King Lizerns' eyes turned bloodshot as they started attacking immediately!
They whipped their tails across the ground simultaneously, crushing all of the grass and the soil beneath it.
One spewed acid upwards, and the other flapped its wings, spreading the acid rain to the students and teachers. Amidst the acid rain, one King Lizern lunged its body towards the group!
"Everyone, spread out!"
The group immediately dispersed around the schoolyard, avoiding the King Lizern and causing it to crash into grass.
A female student was by herself as she ran around the schoolyard, targeted by a King Lizern.
Clicking his tongue, a teacher blew the student away and flung some wind towards the King Lizern's eyes.
The teacher and the beast stared at each other.
'Yeah, that's right, chase me!'
All of a sudden, another King Lizern smashed against the teacher's side, chucking the teacher towards a tree trunk.
"Argh!" The teacher hurriedly pushed away from the tree trunk with wind to soften the impact.
"Mr. Simeon!" Some of the students also reacted in the nick of time as they threw a pile of dirt behind Mr. Simeon.
Nonetheless, his back crashed onto the pile of dirt.
"Ptui!" Mr. Simeon stood up and wiped the blood of his mouth. He joined the battle again.
Seeing the battle heat up once more, Felum clicked his tongue and readied himself for a fight, when he felt an arm block his chest.
"...What do you mean by this, Noele?"
"Let me handle this. I wanna test how strong I am!"
Right after talking, Noele pushed his feet with air, instantly arriving beside a King Lizern. Taking advantage of the momentum, he quickly formed an earthen glove and punched the King Lizern unawares!
While disoriented, Noele continuously punched the King Lizern, not giving it any chances to counterattack.
Watching Noele's masterful display made Felum bite his lip. "...Don't get too cocky."
His expression agitated Megna.
She could still remember it. The large burn on Noele's chest that never seemed to fade.
"This... Who did this to you?"
"Heh, you don't need to care. I crippled him anyways."
"--!!"
That night, when Noele fell asleep, Megna sneaked outside of their bed and watched the news.
"Felum Peore, more commonly known as the Flame Emperor, is reportedly in a comatose state after he encountered Noele Menst, the Element King himself, in the Deep Wilderness..."
"...Element King? More like Demon King! Bah..."
After that, Megna turned off the TV, afraid that Noele might hear the reporters bashing him.
"That won't happen. I'll make sure of it."
Megna shook her head as she composed herself. She approached Felum.
The latter looked at Megna. "You, why are you here in our school?"
He recalled what Noele had said earlier about his mana activating.
'When Megna pulled my hand, I suddenly felt full of mana.'
"Do you have something to do with Noele suddenly getting a power-up?" Felum looked at Megna with a slight hostility.
"Err, well, you said I should stop feeding him Mana Suppressing Pills, right? I went against his father's order and stopped giving it to him." Megna lied as naturally as she breathed.
"So this power... it's all his natural talent?" Felum widened his eyes.
"Apparently." Megna sneered in her mind. 'His strength right now, in comparison to his peak, is like comparing an ant to an elephant.'
"..." Felum stayed silent.
"Why? Are you jealous of his talent?"
"No! I don't care how strong he is." Felum pursed his lips. "But, earlier, he seemed kinda... arrogant."
"See, this is why I-- err, his old man fed him the Mana Suppressing Pill. As he is right now, he's too immature to handle this power. Maybe he'll even abuse it."
"Abuse? His power? Noele's not like that! He would never do that..."
Felum's gaze followed Noele as he moved around the schoolyard. Like a dancer on a stage, his movements seemed so natural and perfect.
His actions, however, contained a certain amount of carelessness. He never considered the other students or teachers as he fought.
Why would he? He could control all of the elements. Teamwork was not a necessity for him.
"...probably." Felum gulped. If, in the future, he got stronger than he was now, he could probably conquer an entire country by himself.
By then, it would be too late to reform him if he was a megalomaniac.
While Megna and Felum were talking, Noele defeated another King Lizern by himself. Unlike the previous one, which was already damaged quite a bit by the others, this one was truly a solo kill.
Noele rushed towards another King Lizern with a wide grin. He was getting more and more used to his elemental powers.

Air Boots, or Seven Heavenly Steps Form One: Cloud Explosion Technique, is a move he made up. It consisted of applying pressure under the soles of his shoes via air and releasing it, pushing him forwards with a great velocity.
Noele stood firm on the ground as he prepared to launch himself.
'Air Boots, go!'
He felt his feet fly as he launched through the schoolyard!...or not. For some reason unbeknownst to Noele, his left foot did not launch as much as his right, throwing him out of balance.
He swerved to the left unexpectedly, heading towards Vinny's group.
"Watch out!!"
Vinny, Carra, and Felly widened their eyes as they hurriedly dodged to his left.
Noele hurriedly pointed his palms in front, intending to release wind on both hands to balance himself.
However, this time, only the left hand released some air, and so Noele swerved to the left, heading towards Vinny once more!
"Ah! Noele, what are you doing! This is no time for jokes!" Vinny was terrified at the prospect of Noele crashing onto her.
Felly noticed something suspicious and helped stop Noele's uncontrolled swerving about.
"Ah, thanks. I lost control for a second there."
'Lost control? Him?' The three were confused.
While they were fighting, they also watched Noele's battle with the King Lizern. He exuded absolute control with his movements--how come he said he lost control just now?
While they were distracted, the King Lizern took the opportunity to spit some acid towards the group.
Noele and Vinny both raised a half-dome made of earth to cover the acid.
However, while Vinny's half-dome was complete and protected herself from the acid, there were holes in Noele's half-dome which he had to compensate for by dodging.
"Tsk, what's happening?" Noele grimaced as a droplet landed on his shoulder.
