"Hey, thanks for the car wash," Eros says, extending his hand outside his car window and towards David standing before it. "Keep the change. You deserve it." There was an amused smile on his face that David loathed.
David looks at the person sitting beside him and finds Katherine looking in his way in an apologetic gaze. She immediately removes her eyes from him and wipes her cheek with the back of her hand in a quick motion.
Was she crying?
It couldn't be because of seeing him like this... But David was sure that she wasn't happy with Eros and was regretting all she had done in her life, to David and hence reached there because of her own actions.
"Take it David." David's partner encourages him to take the big tip but David retreats and turns away without taking the money that Eros was extending in his way.
