The sole purpose of this small family reunion dinner was supposed to be a family rebounding effort where no one considered each other a family but the pawns of the chessboard to have toyed with wits. 

It wasn't dinner but a monthly report submission time where everyone wanted a high score from the other suitable candidate. 

David hung up his phone. He looks back where Sabrina was standing a while ago but found the place vacant. Lowering his head, he kicks a stone near his feet. 

"She was right. Being with me will only suffocate her." He mumbles as he kicked another stone in frustration. 

Heaving a sigh he turns back and went back to his SUV.

Alex opens the door to the restaurant and she walks hesitantly inside, clutching the strap of her bag that was hanging across her body.
