He was unable to comprehend why the gold ranker decided to abruptly surrender during the test like coward, especially since Rodd definitely had the upper hand. Thus, persistently demanded a reasonable explanation from him with authoritative tone.
That being the case, Rodd remained silent, and seemingly uninterested to answer the given question. Aside the fact he found exchanging words to be mentally exhausting, the examiner was not his supervisor whatsoever. Thus, he felt no obligation to satisfy his curiosity.
Anything the examiner said would go in one ear and out the other.
