The soldiers expected the brilliance emanating from the enemy's attack to exceed the tolerance of their field of vision and blinded them. They too anticipated the dear lives they protecting were about to be seized without them noticing.

Betraying that expectation, the spiraling luminance was delicate. Its otherwordly beauty drew the soldiers' attention as if they witnessed divinity. They were in awe. The flow of time seemed unhurried and their senses were compelled to relish every second of it. They were forced to feel any bit of pain that came crawling when their vessels touched the attack.
The soldiers would be trapped in this powerlessness until their consciousness, forms, and surroundings disintegrated and nothing remain. Not even a speck of ash.
