After an engaging questions-and-answers session, the morning briefing concluded. The whole session lasted for more than an hour, longer than Alfraed had anticipated, eating away at the employees' working hours. Nevertheless, the young man did not regret this. Some came to him directly and shook his hand, expressing their gratitude, to which he replied that none of this was possible without their contributions, making them more motivated to perform their roles.
Other people may have different opinions. But, for Alfraed, appreciation was the best tool in bringing out the workers' optimal performance as it made them feel that they were a part of something greater. Giving them a sense of ownership of the company's goals.
"Beno, do you know where Shella is? I didn't see her…"
Alfraed jogged his memory. However, no matter how hard he rewind the recording in his head, the young man could not find the figure of an elf in the audience.
