"Yes"
After a couple of seconds, which felt like an eternity for Alfraed, Mikaela gave her honest feeling to the question. For the lady, the answer came naturally, she had been yearning for this.
"... Really?"
Reflexively, Alfraed showed his disbelief through another question. The young man feared that he heard wrongly as his mind could be playing tricks on him, you never knew.
"Yes, Alf, I will be your girlfriend"
Mikaela chuckled and gave another answer as a confirmation of her commitment, washing away all doubts Alfraed harbored.
"Then, are we a couple now?"
"Yes, you and me, we are a couple"
Alfraed was over the moon. Fueled by a sudden surge in emotion, the young man wanted to hold Mikaela in his arms, claiming her. But, before that, there was something he must do.
"... Mika, may I hug you?"
As Alfraed mentioned during the dinner, the young man would ask for Mikaela's consent, and it was time to ask for one.
