Chapter 183 - A confession

The night almost reached its peak when dark clouds covered the twin moons, robbing the sky of its only light.

Around this quiet hour, most of the businesses had left their stores empty. Simultaneously, many people were in deep slumber, recovering their spirit and energy to once again worked their hardest tomorrow. Only a handful of establishments still had their doors wide open and the staff readily welcomed customers, showing resolute hospitality. One of those establishments was none other than the Association. 

On the first floor, although less crowded than during the day, the staff continuously tended to the needs of adventurers that came to take quests or report their quests' progression. They also politely and professionally processed all the pleas from quest givers. Crisis was foreign to the notion of working hours or holidays and could come anytime as they wished. Hence, the Association had three shifts to ensure their readiness at any time.
