The lower district was a residential area with crowded, substandard housing, and more often than not to be associated with poverty, which was not that far off from the truth as most people that dwelled here struggled to put bread on the table. The atmosphere was dark and the roads were poorly maintained. Simultaneously, there was a shortage of security personnel to patrol the place, implying their worth in the eyes of others. That being said, there was solid unity among the residents to support each other. This was their way to endure the hardship they faced every day.
At the district's border, though still below the standard of the middle district, the houses were in much better shape compared to other buildings within the vicinity. Despite the night nearing its peak, in one of those houses, some souls were still fully awake.
