A couple of kilometers of land without hills nor valleys was what separated the dungeon from the peaceful town of Bellmore. Most people could leisurely traverse the distance within half an hour or so, and a literal giant taller than a three-story building with its impossibly wide steps surely could accomplish the same activity in a lot less time.
The giant had a plan that was so close to producing results. Unfortunately, the plan was ruined due to unexpected interference from a group of inferiors. Moreover, he failed to dispose of them and they even managed to trap him inside a ball of dirt and sand, never before did he suffer such humiliation.
This unforeseen circumstance forced a hateful choice to be taken which was possible because the dungeon's system deemed him as part of it. It was the only way to escape; allow the dungeon to rewrite him into a beast.
The gruesome yet instant process was a success.
