In the kitchen.
Jiang He, wearing an apron and looking every bit the diligent little wife, was busily chopping vegetables, her sleeves rolled up and her hair tied up in a bun.
Accustomed to the knife, her skill was evident; she could chop however she wanted with ease, unlike Xu Qing who would turn strands into strips if he wasn't careful.
"What are you looking at?"
Sensing Xu Qing's gaze, Jiang He glanced at him.
"You look really beautiful like this," Xu Qing remarked.
Really perfect for a wife...
"..."
Jiang He's movements paused for a moment, slightly bewildered, before she regained her composure, checked the kitchen door, and frowned at him.
"Rogue!"
"Thanks for the compliment."
With a chuckle, Xu Qing stopped teasing her and left the kitchen to stop being in the way.
Good things take time, and meeting someone after more than a thousand years is fate; one must put in the effort.
"Stop dawdling with your girlfriend and hurry up, my money isn't blown in by the wind."
