At the entrance of the law school, occasionally one would encounter middle-aged workers with a look of suffering on their faces, either standing by the roadside or crouched on the street, cautiously stopping well-dressed students to ask for help.
Xu Jin had dealt with this before and roughly understood their plight. Most of them were migrant workers in the capital facing rights defense issues, such as unpaid wages or unfair treatment. They didn't understand the law, and couldn't afford a lawyer.
"I'm just a freshman, and I don't have much experience. You might try..."
She stopped and looked around. Students from the legal aid society on campus often took turns on duty here, but they might be hard to find in the evening.
"Let me handle it!"
A voice came from behind. Xu Jin sighed in relief, wiped her sweat with her sleeve; she had just returned from a run and was about to freshen up.
