Xu Qing was startled.
She turned her head back abruptly.
The kitchen was quiet and still; Jiang He wasn't stealthily peeking at her from the doorway either.
Looking at the time again, she noted it was from several days ago.
"Ahem... Are dumplings difficult to make?"
Xu Qing ran to the kitchen doorway to watch Jiang He knead the dough.
"I haven't started making them yet, I'm still working on the dough skin."
Jiang He's hands were strong and energetic, kneading firmly a few times before turning back and asking, "Are you hungry?"
"Not really hungry yet, take your time," Xu Qing said casually, before turning around and sitting on the sofa to peel an orange.
This girl... just trying to see?
It was a false alarm.
Jiang He's learning speed really took him by surprise; she always seemed a bit clueless, but apparently, she'd been studying something behind his back.
He had been too preoccupied with holding her small hands.
