Shawn opened his eyes while clutching his head. He sat on bed. He never felt this much pain before. He quickly surveyed room.
From the slightly familiar and unfamiliar room, he say it is a typical boy's room with postures attached to the wall, computer with bikini model on the desktop and messy tissues on the floor.
After a moment a large number of unfamiliar memories merged in his mind. This memories belonged to the body.
Coincidentally the name of body is also Shawn. His full name is Shawn Stevenson. He has both father and mother in this life.
His father William works for the Ministry of Otherworldly Affairs. His mother works as a manager in Elven perfume factory.
Yes, you heard it correctly. This world is exactly like earth but it is many times larger than earth.
Its history has changed 50 years ago because black hole like Gates began to appear all around the world. Some of them are small as table, some are big as 5 storey building.
Other side of these gates are connected to other worlds. These gates were called Interdimensional Rifts or simply Portals.
The strange thing about this portals are, after you enter it you cannot you cannot use existing communication equipment from one side to other sides.
After surveying these Portals on other side. It has been determined these places contain huge amount of resources which are known but also contain many unknown creatures, plants and metal ore.
Their specific composition is different from earth. These materials produce a certain radiation which is very beneficial to humans, plants and animals on Earth.
When these materials are brought back from other side and gathered in one place. Strange light spots began to appear in places where resources are placed. These creatures appear to small lights of different colours.
Each colour represent their characteristics of them.at first they began to disperse after a while.
After some days they began to form wisdom in them and gradually began to appear in the form similar to fairies in games. Thus they were named as Elementals.
The stronger elementals appears close to human with wings of their attribute. They can also communicate with us.
Then Elementals began to form contract with humans. Contracted humans can store their Elementals in body. Under the blessing of elementals in the body. Humans who had contract with Elementals became stronger than special army.
They also have special abilities by contracting the Elementals. For example after contracting Fire elemental, they can become Fire resistant and conjure Fire in their bare hands to do tricks with it.
After discovering these portals and power obtained by Elementals, Government tried to hide it.
Government can fool normal people but it cannot fool capitalists with big consortiums behind them. When Government and Capitalists are about to engage in an economic war about management of Elemental Creatures, First contact with other worldly races has been done.
The Otherworldly races also after seeing this planet. They greedily began to covet it. But after entering from portal to this world they began to lose their racial magic powers. Humans and other races are dead locked situation. So they took a step back each other to negotiate a peace alliance for exchange between races.
Rubbing his slightly swollen head and said to himself "It hurts. What have I done to myself to hurt this bad."
After browsing memory in his head. He has become clearer. The previous body in order to impress his female classmate. He began to contract much stronger elementals than his capacity. So that's how he died. I also entered his body.
Due to large number of Elementals created in this world, children at age of 6 began to awaken special skills related to their preferred elementals.
For example child between Fire elementalist and Water elementalist have skills related to their parents like 'Burning wall', 'Frost spike', etc.,
The skill Shawn acquired is 'Eye of Analysis'. It looks like a great skill but it cannot do anything without sufficient knowledge reserves. It may have a great skill for senior scientific researcher.
But it cannot exert its power to a 6 year old kid. With this skill, he has been smart since childhood but it cannot change his anticipation on contracting Elementals.
Because this skill cannot to refer to specific Elemental. He is categorised as a special and cannot form a contract until an age of 18.
Since he is in his last year of high school, being in hormonal age, in order to attract other girls in the high school.
Disregarding the safety regulations he began to contract with a strong wild elemental. So that's how he died.
Generally elementals which are contracted comes from Government authorised agencies which are tamed since birth. Wild ones although they are brought in wild.
They are much stronger than Government provided ones. Poor families can only contract wild Elementals to reduce burden on their families.
Shawn has been brought up in moderately rich family. Due to parents being standard white collar employees. Although his family cannot buy supercars for his birthday but they bought him fairly good car suitable for high schoolers.
Shawn does not have any bad qualities in both his lives. He just hangs out with friends, maybe a bit nerdy in his lifestyle. But overall He is a good guy.
After cleaning himself up, he began think what should he do with his life. This world although is in technological side but it is crooked due to influence of Elementals and other races.
