Ace's POV
So today is the 1st trial and I don't know why but I am nervous. I wasn't nervous before, I just had a bad feeling about this case.
"Here we are, attorney" said my Assistant and arranged the files I needed for this trial.
I signed of the cross first before entering. Lord I'm trusting you.
We entered and I was surprised who the suspect's defender was.
Kolin Ferrel.
My friend. Remember the one who greeted me on chapter 1? That's him.
But just wtf. Is this the bad feeling I had earlier?
"Defender you may now start the statement."
"Yes, your honor"
"My client is being accused for poisoning but there's no valid proof that the suspect poisoned his own brother." I smirked. I knew he would say that.
"And the suspect has a good relationship with the victim and there is no apparent reason why he will poison his own brother."
"And I want to show you this, your honor." Kolin said and played the cctv footage of Anna, the victim's sister, entering the victim's room.
"As you can see your honor, that's the sister of the victim who entered the victim's room."
"And ... They don't have a good relationship with each other. Because the victim was adopted and her sister did not accept it."
"I rest may case your honor" Kolin said. Now it's my turn.
"I wanted to question the suspect first your honor ..."
"Are you sure you don't hold a grudge against your brother. Sir Owen?"

"You heard it clearly, he said yes." I said and went back to my seat and played a cctv footage.
"As you can see, the suspect went to the cr at 6:50 pm and went out at 6:55 pm. When he went out, you saw that he was looking around and being careful not to touch anything right? Isn't it suspicious ? " Sorry Kolin, godbless.
"Objection your honor!"
"Sit down attorney Ferrel. Prosecutor, you may continue."
"He went to the dining room to eat dinner. Her sister, Sir Anthony and his mother were there." I said and played the video.
"Sir Anthony was about to stand up to get a glass of water but Sir Owen stopped him and voluntarily get him a drink.-"
"Ofco-"
"I'm not yet finished Attorney Ferrel" I smirked.
"Sir Anthony like to eat using hands, so he took advantage of it."
"What?"
"I rest my case your honor"
"Defender."
"Let's look at the victim's sister side. Why would she enter the victim's room when their relationship is not good? Isn't it suspicious too?"
"We plead not guilty your honor."

Aria's POV
"We plead not guilty your honor" What!?
I'm at the court. Yes I'm watching the trial. Why? Because I'm bothered. I'm worried that the patient might not have justice.
"We'll meet at the next trial."

"Chill. It's only me" he said in a defense pose. I could've kicked him if he didn't dodged my kick.
"I wanted to ask you something." I said.
"You really came here just to ask me a question? Or you just missed me and saying that you have a question is just an excuse for you to meet me? Your quite witty huh?"
"I'm not joking around attorney Verion."
"Oh I'm sorry. It seems to be important. So what's your question Dr. Madden?" I fake coughed and stand up straight.
"Are you sure that Mr. Owen is really the one who poisoned Mr. Anthony?"
"If you're concerned-"
"I'm serious Attorney Verion"
"Yes. I'm very sure that Mr. Owen is the one who poisoned his own brother. I have enough evidence to prove that he's the one who poisoned his brother."
"Really? Then why you kept they evidence you're saying a while ago instead of showing it?" I asked.
"I don't want to spill it all out cause I know that they will plead not guilty. If I showed them all of the evidence I got, I might have nothing to show in the next trial. So save the best for last." So that's why he's being called the "king of trials"
"And I kinda like the thrill about cases because you don't know what will happen next. And I'm enjoying when I see shocking faces when they know the truth."
"You think this is a game? Huh?"
"Uhmm not that I take this as a game. But I find it fun."
"So what's this evidence your saying?" I'm curious about the evidence he is saying.
"It's a secret. I want to see your shocked face also."

"Hey" Aiya called me.
"What?"
"Can you lend me 5 pesos?"
"What? Will you live forever by the money of others?" I said and gave her the 5 pesos she wants.
"Thanks!" She said and bought a coffee from a coffee vending machine.
I saw Felix and Aiya giggling to each other.
When did these two became friends? Or they're just flirting to each other?
"What? I'm not pretty." I almost puked on what Aiya saidm
"I really wanna buy a coffee for the two of you.
"What? Really? Then let's go to the Starbucks–".
"There's no coffee-n (coffin) at Starbucks" I said and left them. I can't take being their third wheel. I might puked at them if I didn't leaved.

"What!?" I shouted and run as fast as I can to the Emergency Room.
"Move! I'll perform cpr!" I shouted.
After 25 minutes of performing cpr, nothing changed.
"Charge 200 joules!"
"Clear!"
I repeated it for hours but it's still complicated.
"The poison already scattered throughout his body Doc." I closed my eyes and scratched my forehead.
"Prepare the operating room."
Sir Anthony, please don't give up. I beg you.

"Scalpel" I started the operation.
"Retractor"
"His vitals are dropping!"
Oh fuck.
"Gauze!"
"Forceps!"
"The poisoning get worse!"
I tried to inject more liquids to stop the poison–
"Vitals are still dropping Doc!"
I squeezed his heart. Pumping it so the heartbeat will come back.
"He's now having a seizure Doc!"
"Pump the blood harder!" I said while still pumping the patient's heart.
My world shattered when I heard that sound from the machine.
"N-no... This can't be happening." I said and still pumped the patient's heart.
"D-doc..."
"Don't turn off the machine!" I said and started crying.
"Time of death 10:35 pm."
