Alexandria:
"My name is Alexandria Georgia and I am here to apply for a spot in your school of dance." I Said to myself. I was was walking over to the Franklin Institute of Art, while walking there I was thinking of I would be saying to the judges who would decide wither or not I would make it into the school.
This was my dream college. To go to school for dance. I walked into the building and towards the stage where I would perform for the judges. Right now I was nothing and that's how exactly they made me feel. They just stood their and stared. "Go on." One of the judges said to me.
I began my routine which consisted of ballet and contemporary dance. I was spinning and twirling to the classical music in the background. And just within 2 minuets they stopped the music which caught me off guard.
"Ms. Georgia, we have seen enough here." I began to get butterflies in my stomach as one of the judges said those words. "Ms. Georgia, we have carefully looked over your record and see that you will not be able to afford this university. Even though you've put on a wonderful show we will have to unfortunately decline you as of now. Once you can have the funding we will more then gladly give you a spot in our school." My stomach was twisting and turning with every word she spoke. I was only a middle class girl trying get into a high class world. What was I thinking? How could I of been so stupid to even come here? Trying to hide back the tears I thanked them and left the building.
