The next morning, Tj walks into a hospital room and sees Ashley sitting beside an unconscious Derek who's in the hospital bed. When Ashley sees him, she smiles.
"Tj, hi." She says.
The young man smiles back at her.
"How are you feeling?" he asks.
"I'm good, nothing serious at all. Derek had a few small injuries, but thanks to your friend from last night, he's gonna be ok. We're both alive, thanks to you."
Tj rubs the back of his head.
"It's no big deal, just glad I could help."
Ashley's smile soon fades.
"I kinda feel bad after last night. I thought- she was crazy, but she really did see a monster after all. I'll have to apologize."
Tj closes his eyes, then walks over and kneels down infront of Ashley.
"I would ask who you're talking about, but I think this'll be better if I didn't know." Tj says.
As Ashley is confused, Tj opens his eyes and they glow bright red.
"Forget about the demon you saw last night. An animal got into the school and attacked you two. You tried to run, but it was too fast and got Derek. You didn't see what kind of animal it was, it was too dark. I came in and somehow scared it off. And when I snap my fingers, you'll fall asleep."
Tj snaps his fingers and she falls asleep. As he walks out of the hospital, he sees Soifon standing in the front.
"So, did you do it?" Soifon asks.
"Yep, memories erased and our secret is safe. No worries." Tj says with a smile.
"Good. Now we have to talk."
"Sorry, I have school in a few hours. It was nice to see you though."
Tj starts to walk away.
"This place needs a sorcerer. One that'll be here around the clock." Soifon says.
Tj stops in place.
"I'm a demon, not a sorcerer. Remember?" Tj says.
"Don't be an idiot. You're a hybrid, which mean you are only half demon. Like it or not, you are a sorcerer. And a pretty talented one at that."
Tj clenches his fist in frustration.
"Then why don't you try to tell them that!" Tj says.
Soifon doesn't answer, just stands in silence. Tj sighs, calming himself down.
"I'm sorry for yelling. But you know as well as I do that the other sorcerers and the higher ups won't except me." He says.
Soifon still keeps silent, but understands that Tj is right.
"I will never stand by and let people die, you know that. If I need to protect those who can't protect themselves, then I won't hesitate."
Soifon notices a determined look on Tj's face and smiles.
"That's good to hear. Your mother would be proud."
Tj smiles back, then walks to school. When he turns around to see Soifon, she has disappeared already and he chuckles to himself.
