Chapter 31
Cassius Rein ~
Using a spell that makes use of dark magic to take over Fredericks mind and turn him into a puppet just for a very short while, I was able to have him take the flower from the tree and have it over to me. It was clear that when that flower was taken down by any creature, there was no escaping the price to be paid so to avoid such price, I had Frederick take it down for me instead.
That way, I get rid of him and get what I went there for.
Through the ancient books on the Tree of Magic that I had read, I was made to understand that amongst the price for the flower, the takers soul would be trapped in the underworld for a thousand years if not eternity.
It was more of a punishment than a price.
What better thing to do than to kill two birds with one stone? I transported myself and the rest surviving lycans who no doubt were of very few numerations back to the entrance of the lycan lands.
"Come over here!" I used my telekinetic abilities to draw a lycan closer to myself.
Seeing as Frederick had successfully killed the lycan in me, I will have to suck it out of another lycan to possess the creature's powers and abilities. If I don't, the lycans would acknowledge me as their king but their wills would no longer be tied to my command.
They would be able to refuse my orders and I definitely do not want that. Luckily enough, the lycan slayer only works on lycans and not mutant lycans so I still possess the abilities that I stole from Leonard before I took over his throne and his kingdom.
Cassius got the powers and abilities of a mutant lycan from the no-more King Leonard right before he killed him.
I placed my palm on the lycans head and in no time, I had sucked out all of his powers and abilities making him fall lifeless to the ground in a mound of ash.
"Yeah!" I exclaimed feeling the rush of power flow through me as it always did before Frederick and his lycan slayer happened. "I am complete!"
I opened the barrier guarding the lycan lands to a door-sized shape and then myself and the rest of the lycans walked in afterwards, I shut it back. Finally! After all these decades, I'm at last going to put an end to this trybrid and save myself from that bullshit of a prophecy of her being my undoing. And with the trybrid's powers, I can finally bring my heart back from her fall.
The prophecy of her being my undoing has bothered me for too long. Ever since I got my powers, the original one at that, I have done nothing but seek her destruction. Soon all that would be nothing but in the past.
"You all are free to do whatever celebration or feast that you want to do for the rest of the day. Inform the villagers and the rest of the warriors of my victory." I said to the lycans behind me with a broad smile. "But no one is granted the permission to leave or dare attempt leaving these lands."
"Thank you, my Lord! We are most grateful and delighted at your victory this glorious night." came one of the lycans forming a smile.
I disappeared in a cloud of smoke into my chambers ready to enact the curse that would take me to the human world un-disarmed.
"I presume that you got what you sought to find in the Tree of Magic." said Varga as he crawled up to meet me.
"Of course! You amongst all others know that there is no stopping what I have planned out for the trybrid child." I replied giving him a rub behind the ears and a slight pat on the head as he laid down right beside me.
"So, what next? I take it that you have no more intentions of wasting any more time before you put an end to the trybrid child and accomplish the rest of your plans." raising up his head and his eyes to meet mine.
"Exactly! The instance I am done with enacting this curse, a magical doorway only accessible by yours' truly would be opened on both worlds. All I need to do is to walk through it and return with the heart of the trybrid child out of her lifeless body, no matter the cost." I said before I began enacting the curse capable of giving me the one thing I desire the most right now, breaking one of the major laws of nature.
"Ut mihi ad hominem mundum! Ego vadam et cum vires et potentiae! Decretum ut portas aperirent disrumpere hurdling mea! Ut mihi ad hominem mundum! Ego vadam et cum vires et potentiae! Decretum ut portas aperirent disrumpere hurdling mea! Ut mihi ad hominem mundum! Ego vadam et cum vires et potentiae! Decretum ut portas aperirent disrumpere hurdling mea! Ut mihi ad hominem mundum! Ego vadam et cum vires et potentiae! Decretum ut portas aperirent disrumpere hurdling mea!" I enacted the curse as the pupils of my eyes went totally dark surrounded by the various requirements of the spell including the flower.
I repeated the sacred words as much times as necessary until I was finally through with enacting it. I closed my eyes. All of the ingredients for the curse were used up and when I opened my eyes again, they were out of sight and there it stood, a magical doorway that could do as I willed.
I hastily went for the doorway but when I attempted walking into it, I got repelled with a powerful shock that sent me across the room and on the solid ground. I tried the same thing three more times but the result bore no change.
Clearly, the doorway was refusing me.
It shouldn't!
"I don't understand! Why won't the damn doorway let me in? I did all that the spell required so why can't I get to the human world through it but get myself blasted away with each and every try?" I asked myself as I arose from the ground for the fourth time in a row after getting repelled away by the doorway. "Varga, I need you to walk through the doorway and back. Let see if this thing is broken or it's just me." I added with stern eyes on Varga.
In accordance to my command, he got up and made his way for the doorway. To my surprise, walked right through it and after some split seconds, he walked back with no such obstruction or repulsion from the doorway.
That was enough proof for me to know that the game was rigged not to my favor.
I don't know why but the doorway won't let me pass even after breaking the major law of nature that was meant to make it all simpler rather than what is actually going on. At least, with the actual doorway spell to the human world, I could walk through but the only catch was that it would leave me powerless but now, this spell wouldn't even let me walk in say more of take me to the human world, whether I was powerful or powerless.
Could it be that even after breaking that law of nature, my powers and abilities are too vast in aptitude to grant me access into the doorway.
"When I arrived at the other side of the doorway, I observed that I still in habited my magical powers so I take it that the spell worked out just fine that is, subtracting the fact that it won't let you in." Varga said making for a sitting position.
"Quiet!!!" I yelled at Varga signifying I commanded his silence.
"I just don't get it! I just don't!!!" I roared unmindful that my inner lycan beast was coming out.
"NO!" I said when I noticed myself transforming into a lycan.
