That evening on the beach, funeral pyres were built with large logs chopped throughout the day. They represented the fallen: Jacques, Nya, and Bysseh.
Standing before the group of survivors, Jorael began his speech, "Today, we honour the fallen on this somber day of mourning that unites all Four Races. Elves, Humans, Dwarves, and Demons. We are all here thanks to the sacrifices made by these three individuals. We will remember them always."
He signaled for the pyres to be lit.
Bromur, torch in hand, lit Jacques' pyre, whispering, "Thank you, my friend, for setting me on the right path. May your Goddess welcome you to the Netherworld."
The pyre suddenly burst into flame, casting a broad glow across the beach.
Before the second pyre, Kaka, the Kobold Demon, lit it, whispering, "Drill... Rest assured, your sacrifice will be remembered by the Nagas. May Atremis greet you with open arms."
The second pyre ignited, further illuminating the beach.
