Chapter 3 - Chapter 1 Part 3

The day had already begun! Luzbel without much encouragement and illusions to find a stable team in the time they gave him left him sad.

He got up to eat an apple as his only breakfast along with a cup of tea finished his meals and then started a small exercise routine and then took a shower, then left his basement directly to his car to go to work . The landscape that was shown before him that day looked very different from the gloomy image that life used to show him every morning; a great bright sun was blazing brightly. Birds sang despite not having trees in which to make their nests, and the surrounding people wore a more friendly demeanor than normal; "A strange day" was how Luzbel would describe it once it was all over.

Upon arriving at work and again ignoring the receptionist, the "great writer" Luzbel Goetia kept sitting in front of his desk, breaking his head thinking that with a lot of luck someone interested in the position would open that with even more luck he could stay at least a week .

-Mr. Goetia, there are two people here at reception who are coming for the announcement of the work team. The woman announced in a voice of pessimism and annoyance. —Well, that was very quick, understood, let whoever arrived first come in.

...

(A few hours before)

Lucas left his house well in advance, dressed in the most representative clothes of an artist, his mother gave him her blessing to be careful and have luck with his interview.

"Oh Lucas!" Good luck son, I'm sure you will do very well, darling. -Thanks mom, it's late I have to go.

Corina put on a navy blue dress with light blue touches, in addition to the fact that her hair was accompanied by a ponytail, she got ready very well to leave and got in Daniel's car so that he would take her to the future job her. -Do not be nervous; You will see that it will be very good for you. Her older brother told her with a smile. "I hope so ... I'm very nervous, but I know I'm going to be doing great."

The artist crossed the city quickly and with the elegance of any great painter. His desire to get that job to earn the money he wanted so much motivated him to continue on his way. He did not care that his possible new boss was a very moody person, Lucas would do anything to be able to stay long enough and raise money to pay off all the debts that he and his mother had.

The smiling girl was amazed at the modern landscapes of the time that adorned the Iron City; fountains with lights on them, fashionable department stores, families strolling quietly through the squares, restaurants with huge lines and dozens of stores, establishments and stalls of different services made Corina's smile even bigger.

Footsteps echoed on the sidewalk with a melody formed by the atmosphere of the great city that would have passed to let Lucas advance to his destination. The elegance of the artist shone through even after passing through the old art school where he attended and all the superior laughs from his former classmates attacked him, he was not going to let some teasing ruin his very possible future. .

And less when from one of the windows sounded the cry of the girl who owned his eyes and every beat of his heart.

"Go with everything, Lucas nobody will be able to with you!" "That's how you talk, my dear!"

Rouse Amery. A blind young woman so sweet and warm that she was Lucas's lamppost of hope, Rouse was a young woman with reddish hair and fair skin who fell in love with the artist, who always smiled when he was with her.

(Present)

Corina looked notoriously nervous when having her first job interview and even more so because only she and a young man with dark skin were the only ones who had gone for the interview.

"The first of you to arrive, come to Mr. Goetia's office." The voice of the not so kind receptionist broke the ice letting Corina be the first to enter… It was show time!

"Good afternoon, Mr. Goetia." I'm Corina… "" Have a seat. Luzbel's raw voice interrupted the young woman, pointing to the chair in front of her desk. -What is your full name? "My name is Corina del Río."

The atmosphere was too tense and her nerves were eating at Corina from inside her. -How old are you? "I'm 25 years old, sir." —Corina tried to remain calm before the indifference and coldness that Luzbel directed her.

"Well ... I must assume you don't have any work experience, am I wrong?" "This would actually be the first job, Mr. Goetia." "... Well now I want you to tell me why does she think that without having some kind of work experience I can hire her?"

A light bead of sweat slipped down the side of Corina's forehead who, taking all the determination that she possessed with a smile as friendly as usual, arranged her hair and began to answer the question.

—Well, if she allows me, I see that we are only two people who come to the interview; the young man out there and me, and that means you are not very easy to deal with. And although I have no experience working, if I really want to work, aside, I think I can do a good job.

"You really just surprised me, Miss del Rio." No work team has lasted with me for more than two weeks. How long do you think you can hold out? —Luzbel directed a challenging look at Corina accompanied by a half smile to which that young woman responded by standing up, the writer still maintaining his smile, he also stood up and shook Corina's hand saying the words that she wanted so much to hear.

"Welcome then, Corina!" Let's see if her confidence lets her last more than two weeks; she now she looks for Valentino Duran's office and you tell her that you were hired by me ... Congratulations.

Corina came out with a big smile even bigger than the one she used to carry. "How did it go, miss?" From her smile I want to assume that she just made it. Lucas's voice surprised Corina, who with her friendly smile was enough to wish luck to the artist who with great confidence was ready to face her destiny. "Let the other person who is waiting come by now!"

—Good afternoon, Luzbel Goetia, I introduce myself properly ... My name is Michael Lucas, and I would like to be able to work with you. - Lucas's attitude and confidence had surprised Luzbel, who with a searching look she wanted to know more about that somewhat eccentric person that she had in front of him.

"Very good young man, Lucas." Let's start with your age. —The writer suggested without letting himself be put off by the attitude that the boy showed. "I'm 19 years old now, Mr. Goetia." —The calm of Lucas before the serious and stormy gaze of Luzbel was very impressive.

"I must assume you have no experience working, do you?" "That's only half true, you see." Recently I was studying at art school but I left it to look for a job. "So you dropped out of school ... How interesting." —A challenging smile was painted on Luzbel's face, which was quickly erased by the words of the painter.

"Actually, I used to sell my paintings on the streets but it is not enough for me that only pedestrians see my art." I want my works to be in the largest museum in the Imperial City one day

Important note*

(Imperial City is the neighboring city to the Iron City in the universe of history. Empire City is recognized for organizing art competitions every year)

"With what painter, fine." In that case I want you to show me what you can do. —After mentioning her challenge, Luzbel handed Lucas a sheet of paper and a jar full of colors, markers, and pencils of different shades.

Among the entire collection of tools to illustrate, Lucas only took an ordinary pencil accepting the challenge of who in his eyes was Lucifer himself; And so, the minutes passed like a cruel executioner waiting for the signal from Luzbel to ask Lucas for the sheet and see what the result was that the artist who with a pencil that when starting his drawing was complete at the time of finishing it was only the size of a finger pinky of a little newborn baby.

When he finished his work, Lucas looked noticeably tired, but he had managed to get a sincere smile from Luzbel's face. Lucas made a fairly accurate portrait of Luzbel Goetia himself. As it turned out, Lucas's last plan to get that job: and it was to play with Luz's own ego, all the artist's strategy gave him the victory.
