Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 Part 1

The locomotive advanced furiously surrounded by metallic roars on the steel road between extensive green meadows full of life and beautiful colors that outlined a marvelous landscape in view of the passengers. And among the large number of people who were traveling at full speed, ready to arrive at a new life in the city of Ferrica, was a young woman with white tees decorated by fine brown hair tied in a ponytail matching a black dress with white details.

That young woman kept her gaze fixed on a window leaving a clear and complete view of the enormous bright green grasslands that glowed even more in the sunlight. Corina del Río was the name of the girl who held tightly her suitcase, clinging to the idea that arriving in Iron City would be the beginning of her new life.

Corina was originally from one of the neighboring towns of the great city of modernization, although now her goal was to start from scratch in the largest city in the country and be able to fulfill her long-awaited dream.

She was a young woman with a big heart and a look full of hope that she could easily sympathize with anyone she had in front of her. No matter who it was, Corina always managed to get a smile out of everyone who stood in front of her. Something very surprising on her part considering the harsh environment she had grown up in, she filled with domestic violence, yelling and name calling from her family over the years.

The train began to slow down little by little and Corina slowly stopped seeing the beautiful landscapes of the countryside to begin to see the station where she would have to stop to finish her journey; The end of her long journey and the beginning of her hopeful new life awaited her very soon, just getting off that train would be her first step to achieve it. When the doors of her wagon opened, Corina rushed to take her suitcase in a hurry and go straight to the station noticing the first changes so daily that for her they were really amazing things. She could not be distracted by that lady so she could only see some things that seemed striking because she had to go in search of her older brother who was going to look for her at the station.

Daniel was the name of Corina's brother, he had left her house when he was younger than her sister with the idea of making more money, but that was just a vile excuse to escape from the toxic environment of her family. her. Walking a bit to the main entrance of the station he was there: a boy with brown hair and a well-trained body was sitting on a waiting bench.

"Daniel!" Corina yelled running into her brother's arms to give her a big hug. —Corina, I missed you so much little one. Which little one? You have grown quite a bit since the last time, I remember you were just a little girl. The two brothers stared at each other trying to avoid crying in front of the other.

-I'm happy to see you again.

-I'm happy to see you again.

The two said in unison while remaining subject.

A scenario completely opposite to the one at the beginning was drawn in one of the busiest areas of the Iron City. A man with an indifferent gaze, it could even be said that he was cold, emerged from a semi-basement surrounded by large buildings full of apartments, an artificial park being the only visible point of vegetation for miles.

Luzbel Goetia, that was what that man with the downcast eyes and dark clothes was called. He got into his car just in time to drive to his job in one of the most important publishing houses in his country "Red House" perhaps the most important production house in books of romance and love tragedies in his country and in most of all of the continent. Adding thousands and thousands of readings, book sales as well as stories of published copies.

The wind blew through the car's windows, revealing cloudy weather with the great possibility of a drizzle or downpour. Luzbel, after a while of riding in his car, arrived at the publishing house's parking lot, so once he got out of his car, he decided to go straight to his office without talking to anyone.

Everyone within the company saw him in the same way "the weirdo who writes novels locked in his office" despite the fact that Luzbel was one of the best writers that all Red House could have, he was not a friendly person at all with us others and it was not because of the fact that he was rude or evil, but rather that his team did not last half a month working with him.

"Good morning, Mr. Goetia." - Said the receptionist without much encouragement watching Luz enter her office without even looking at her. When the door to his office opened, a man with an elegant suit and a smile that could warm anyone's face (except Luzbel's) was sitting on Luz's office chair.

—Happy start to the week Luzbel. —That man was the head of the creative direction so he was also the head of Luzbel. "What the hell do you want, Val?"

"Luzbel used to address his boss as" Val "since his name was Valentino.

"I really came to bring you a letter that the heads of the publishing house want you to read." Val quickly delivered the letter and left without saying another word.

"Greetings dear, Luzbel Goetia.

We have been pleased with the great performance of him during these years in his hard work as a writer.

But we have noticed a big decline with respect to his currently null work team, so we are forced to tell him that if he does not get a stable work team until the lapse of 6 months. He will leave us the decision to fire him.

We hope you can understand. "

Luz made an angry gesture when she heard the news. It did not matter the fact that he was one of the best writers of the publishing house, his bosses had already sentenced him for having been working for two years without a formal team that will not last more than two weeks, since that was the maximum time of each new formation. -Curse! Now what the hell am I going to do if I can't get a stable team? - The already desperate writer repeated to himself, putting his hands to his hair trying to find a solution.

Again a glance that differed by being very different from the previous ones was being drawn, and speaking of drawing.

Several paintings hung and thrown away decorated an apartment that revealed a young painter throwing another beautiful-looking painting, which in the artist's opinion was an atrocity to behold.

-No no no. How is it possible that I am painting these monstrosities? "Lucas was the name of the young painter." A boy with dark skin and long hair that covered one of his eyes while his very slim figure was covered by a shirt a little bigger than him.

-Luke! You already have to go to school. You're not going to be lazy all damn day! Lucas's mother's screams echoed through the small apartment in an angry tone. "I've already told you a million times that I'm not a stupid bum!" I am an artist. —Almost every day it was the same discussion as always: Lucas's mother wanted him to study so that later he would work somewhere in order to cover the expenses that the death of her father left a few years ago.

After the recent argument with his mother, Lucas was walking crestfallen through the center of the Iron City after selling some of his paintings on the street.

His steps led him to one of his favorite bookstores that was located on the ground floor of the same publishing house that owns the bookstore: the Casa Roja publishing house. While he entered the reception to pick up an art book that he had ordered a few days ago, he was entertained by listening to a conversation that a couple of men in suits had with looks full of excessive arrogance.

—Have you heard what the board of directors did to the phenomenon of Luz? - "phenomenon" was one of the many nicknames that Luzbel had throughout the company. —Yes, if he doesn't get a work team within 6 months he will be fired. Poor who works with him, not all the money that the job offers will be enough to convince someone to work with Luzbel. I also heard that the bacchante is for two positions, that guy is really looking for a complete work team, well, hopefully and I failed, don't you think?

That short snippet of conversation Lucas overheard was enough to provoke one of the craziest ideas he had ever had.
