Chereads / Bloody Fate / Chapter 33 - The End

Chapter 33 - The End

Narrator POV

Waking up tangled in the person you love is the best way to start the day, you feel safe in their embrace and know that nothing could change the way you feel about them. Sometimes you just lay there and commit the features to your memory, trying to figure out how you got so lucky. Your heart soars at the small little things they do in their sleep -from the loud snoring to the soft squeeze of their arms around you. Lizabeth was the first to wake up, wrapped in the cool embrace of Aurora. She smiles to herself with a slight blush on her cheeks as she thinks about last night. She had been waiting for what felt like forever to touch her sire.....her mate. Turning over slowly as to not wake the beautiful woman lying next to her she brushes the dark stray hairs away from Rory's face. Liza thought she looked so peaceful like this, no worries or thoughts in her head to cause a frown.

Leaning down the hybrid kisses each eyelid softly, giggling when the vampire groans and tries to bat her away with a lazy hand. "Rory...." Liza whispers, brushing her lips against hers. "Wake up."

Slanted red eyes squint up at the Queen of Lynchester, a smile paints her plump lips. "Good morning Eṉ kātal."

Her raspy morning voice brought goosebumps to Lizabeth's skin, the inviting scent of citrus and incense wrapping around the hybrid. "Good morning to you too." She leans in for a kiss but is stopped short by a cold hand covering her mouth.

The female vampire grins and kisses the back of her hand that covered her mate's lips. "You have awful morning breath, my love."

A gasp escapes Liza and she shoves her hand away from her lips and attacks the older woman with several kisses. "How dare you insult me in such a way." She giggles between kisses.

In one swift motion, Aurora tips them both over and tickles the living daylights out of Liza, who screeches in surprise followed by giggles. They both play wrestle across the bed before Liza concedes gasping for air and laughing hard. With a wide smile, Aurora combs her fingers through the auburn locks of her mate, electric blue eyes gazing up at her with adoration and playfulness. The vampire picks her on the lips before getting up to get dressed, Liza leans back against the pillows momentarily stupefied by Aurora's body. A wave of lavender hit the older woman like a brick, causing her to shiver. She looks back at the woman lying in bed and her mouth waters. Liza laid stretched out with a small smile on her lips as her eyes skirted down the vampire's curves.

"Take a shower with me?" Rory's voice low and sultry.

That is all the prompting the Queen needs, jumping out of bed and into the bathroom. Aurora follows chuckling under her breath. She had never thought domesticity would make her feel so...whole. Yet here she was finding pleasure in a routine she never really liked. Aurora knew it was because of Lizabeth, the hybrid who had taken her whole thought process flipped it upside, and spun it in a 360. She truly in love with the girl and it scared her in a way, having never felt anything like this before. Although it was new to both of them they didn't want to rush, the pair were still figuring each other out, learning new things about each other. Now that the two were no longer running around trying to fix the broken kingdom they could finally be together.

After their steamy shower, they walk hand in hand down the hallway to the dining room. Lizabeth couldn't help but smile at the sight she saw. Aurora's and her own family were talking while they ate, laughter filled the room as well. It was peaceful and it was how she wanted the rest of her kingdom to be like. All of them coexisting in harmony with no ill will. The first person to look up is Otto who smirks at us, his brown eyes gleaming with trouble. Jason was already trying to become his best friend after yesterday, they pranked Anthony and Nero with a big ballon of sticky glue that turned pink when they tried to wash it off.

"Well, well, look who decided to join us for breakfast. Are you here to replenish your energy, you little bunnies?"

Aurora chuckles as she sits down while Liza bushes a bright red. Tony and her parents looked slightly uncomfortable, avoiding eye contact. All the Mythics in the room could hear them all night going at it all night. It was hard not to listen, the castle seemed to echo to their sensitive ears.

"Am I not allowed to enjoy my alone time with my fiancée dear brother?" Rory murmurs as she pours some laced wine in her cup with a smirk.

Lizabeth's mother snaps their head in their direction with a bright smile. "Fiancée?"

The Hybrid Queen smiles. "She proposed to me last night."

Her brother grabs her hand and frowns. "Where's the ring then?"

Liza blushes, suddenly interested in her plate. "It was a spur of the moment kind of thing."

Otto laughs. "Yeah, you were too busy being a pillow princess to actually do it properly." He continues to tease his sister.

Nero elbows him looking slightly embarrassed and Nikolai laughs shaking his head as if to say 'what can you do?' Jason tugs on Liza's shirt, she looks down at him with a raised brow. "What's a pillow princess? I thought you were Queen."

Laughter breaks out all across the table while Liza buries her burning red face in her hands. Aurora plants a kiss on her temple turning to Nero. "Will you come with me to pick out a ring? Between you and Otto you have better tastes."

Her brother has the grace to look offended but shrugs knowing it was true, his mate was the better half when it came to style. They all chat as they eat making plans for the wedding, Aurora and Liza wanted to have the wedding as soon as possible. Victoria comes up to her daughter after they finish eating and gives her a big hug, Liza accepts It gratefully.

"I'm happy for you sweetheart. You look so happy." Her mother kisses her forehead gently.

Liza smiles. "I am happy." She looks at her mate with a wide smile. "She's perfect."

Anthony comes up and playfully nudges his older sister. "Just keep the sex noise down from now on. I'm human and I could hear you all the way down the hall."

She sighs and blushes again. Rory comes up to her wrapping an arm around her waist speaking up. "No promises Tony, besides you have no room to talk. I saw you and Lang yesterday."

The boy blushes and says nothing back. The rest of the day goes smoothly, ending with Aurora and Liza enjoying the quiet out in the gardens. Aurora was reading as Liza listened sipping on her tea, her head resting on the vampire's shoulder. The both of them were buzzing with emotions, love overpowering them all, they had been through the wringer but made it out even stronger than before. Neither one had ever felt so at peace and it showed, they glowed with happiness. Liza couldn't help but smile at the thought of marrying her mate, at the thought of having a mate. She thought that nothing could go wrong as long as she had Aurora by her side. They would protect each other until their last breath. Even after all they have been through each one knew they would survive this bloody fate as long as they had each other.

The End.
