When I woke up after the bullet got removed, I was shocked by the news mum released. She told me about the investigation. That Ray was the one who tried to kill me.
It was less than twenty-four hours since the incident. How could they conclude that Ray was the one who tried to kill me without finding the gunman who pulled the trigger?
My mum is a very smart woman but she can act very stupidly at times. I don't know where she got the private detective, who did such a terrible job. The evidence against Ray was false. I knew that but I wanted to play along.
If I tried to convince her about how wrong the evidence was, she would believe, I was living in self-denial and trusted Ray blindly. While she was the one who was being clouded by her emotions.
Even if Ray was responsible for the incident, how on earth did she think she could beat Mrs. Williams by using the media.
