When we got to the airport, I realized we weren't heading back to the country. "What's going on?" I looked at the flight ticket in my hand.
"With good planning, we can leave Fantasy City, but our journey back won't be easy," the lady said.
"Does my mother know about this?" I asked. Though they seemed to be from the agency, I was still worried I missed something.
"No," the man shook his head, which scared me.
"What do you mean?" I asked. If I was already in their hands, my best bet was to act foolish. Only then would they be relaxed, giving me a chance to escape.
"Your mother's side is compromised. I'll be boarding the plane back to the country, and you and Jack will go to a neighboring country. Then, you'll take a plane from there home tomorrow. The Clay will have eyes on every plane from Fantasy City in the coming days," the lady explained.
