Mary was in her office that morning, but she could not concentrate on the file in her hand. Her mind was in fantasy city. If she could, she would take a flight there, but she dared not.
She knew that making a move at this time would only put Bella in danger. She kept looking at the phone on the desk, waiting for a response. Time went by slowly.
*knock knock
There was a knock on the door; Mary sighed and looked at the door. She had cancelled all her meetings for the day because she was afraid of missing updates from Ray.
"come in," Mary said after she calmed down. Her assistant walked in, holding some files.
"MA, You need to sign this," The assistant said, putting the files in front of her.
"you can leave," Mary did not even look at the document.
