I saw two out of the three patients, but they were both males, and neither was Bella. I decided to check on the person in a coma. The nurse talking me around did not mind. She seemed happy to grant any of my requests.
When we got to the room, the machine was still on, but no one was on the bed. There was a patient gown on the bed; whoever was here was gone.
"This is strange; she was still here this morning, * the nurse said. My heart missed a bit when I heard the nurse. The patient was recorded to be male, but the nurse just called her 'she.'
" What is the patient situation? " I asked.
" He was in an accident over three months ago; we could not identify him; fortunately, the person that knocked him paid the medical bills," the nurse said. I looked at her; she first referees to the patient as she, now she went on and on about him. "Is the patient male or female?" I decided to ask.
